Mazak heard something was going on inside the inn and waited outside to think of the different possibilities it could be and after thinking for a few minutes he could only think of;
•the inn is being robbed
•there's a fight going on
Or
•something including violence is going on
Inns in this part of town were common to have fights as they aren't as wealthy as what the nobles have, in fact some customers prefer the inns with fights as they get entertainment as they drink and eat and they could even join in.
After Mazak was done thinking he walked into the inn to see a dwarf fight, fights were common but the ones with dwarves were the best as they constantly drag people in to fight as well and after the fights are over the dwarf that loses buys another round for everyone that joined in.
Mazak walked past the fight to an empty table, whilst also looking at what the dwarves were doing and as soon as the fight was going to get better someone opened the inn door and everyone in the inn noticed that he was a guard, everyone knew that guards were mainly to maintain order in towns which stopped fights almost instantaneously.
However Mazak had noticed that the guard was very tired as he must've only gotten off of his guard post as he was still carrying his gear with him, Mazak waved the guard to come sit with him as many people were uncomfortable with guards and he wanted to see the fight continue.
The guard came over and sat with Mazak and asked if he needed anything, "Is there anything I can help you with?"
Mazak replied with, "Do you mind to say to everyone carry on as I want to see this dwarf fight continue"
"Ah yes sorry about that" said the guard talking to Mazak and then turning to the crowd and loudly stated, " Carry on with the fight don't let me interrupt all of you having fun"
"Winning team gets 2 rounds on me" continued Mazak which motivated everyone to fight even rougher than before. Mazak also bought himself and the guard a bottle of rum as they both wanted a bottle of something.
After about 10 minutes of fighting the winning team was decided by the Inn owner and said, "the winning team goes to the small guy with long brown hair and beard." The Inn owner was also muttering under his breath 'that's a lot of blood for 3 rounds'
Mazak had heard this and stood up from his seat, he then started to summon a large AOE healing field which healed everyone in the Inn after two minutes and said, "a round to the losing team as well for their ferociousness"
Everyone in the Inn cheered loudly thanking him for the drinks and healing them. The guard started talking to Mazak, "that was awfully kind of you sir, what is your name as I never got it"
"My name is Mazak and it was nothing special I did, also you seem... happier or better was something wrong with you?"
"Yes there was but Im afraid it's classified and not for the public to hear but I can tell you that I was injured on my right arm"
Mazak looked over at his arm and realised he was bitten by something big and deadly at that, which luckily his healing field managed to fix his arm. Mazak also decided to slip over 20 gold coins to the guard under an empty mug.
The guard picked up the mug and saw 20 Gold coins, guards earn around 1 Gold coin every week and a half and to be given 20 for some information the guard was suspicious but did not want to lose the opportunity so he whispered under his breath,
"A beast had been found Far North, a Fenris Wolf, the Wolf has said to be seen killing innocent travellers and farmers and has a taste for blood of all kinds, it was supposed to be a rumour and a legend but we were still sent to check it out and only 11 out of 40 people returned, it was a goddamn massacre"
