Chapter 4 - Rage

As soon as the children heard Mazak's voice they began to cry of joy that someone has come to save them, when they realised that he said to run out and escape they smiled and took the chance at escape. Mazak followed shortly behind them whilst on the lookout for any demons but he could see none and just as they made it to the intersection tragedy struck.

Mazak was hit with a blinding spell and stun spell, as soon as he was hit he immediately noticed that the walls inside the caves had now blocked his senses which is why he didn't notice anything until now. Whilst he was down, a horde of mid-rank demons rush out of the other 2 corridors and slaughtered all of the children one by one letting their screams echo through the cave, this made Mazak realise no matter how much he tries anything can still go wrong.

The screams infuriated Mazak and he could no longer control himself. Mazak got up and his entire body lit up in pale blue flames burning everything around him in the cave for a little while, Mazak started to run and dash forward as fast as teleporting short distances and arrived at the massacre which just enraged him even more.

Mazak started to leap onto the demons one by one crushing their skulls, letting their brains turn into a mushy liquid and pour out onto the floor where they once stood. After 10 seconds of Mazak's fiery rage no demons were left standing.

Mazak's body returned to its natural high elf look and when suddenly "What are you? A Demi-God of Death? You're not a normal elf. What are you?" It was the repugnant demon voice again.

Mazak was not able to listen or smell, his vision was red with killing intent and he had no emotion for a while after that rage surge.

Mazak was standing still due to the fact he tore through all of his stamina and half of his mana waiting for them to slowly recharge.

As Mazak was resting the few remaining yet brave enough demons had lunged at him with their demonic broadswords, only to find out that his body was no longer elvish or mortal and that their swords had melted as soon as they touched Mazak's body.

As Mazak had been waiting for his power to recharge he had also been waiting for anymore demons to show themselves.

"Puny and pathetic, what a waste" Mazak said, however his voice is louder, deeper and terrifying.

Without warning, Mazak's body ignited into a dark purple and light blue fire and exploded the surrounding 200 metres with fire, the flames blasted outside of the cave and the heat became so powerful that the rocks and walls turned to glass and condensed and everything living (including bodies) in the cave had immediately turned to ash.
