Chapter 11 - Easily offended wildcat.

Later that night, Fan Xifeng just reasoned out that she's not feeling well and was still full so her family won't be suspicious as to why she didn't went down for dinner.

She knew that any of them would go to her room and check on her but Fan Xifeng is also aware that her face doesn't look any better so she carefully locked the door to prevent anyone from getting in and whenever someone knocked, she won't answer it pretending to be sleeping.

Realizing that she doesn't want to be bothered, no one tried to disturb her anymore and just let her be for the meantime.

Inside her room, Fan Xifeng remained seated at the edge of the bed. She has been on this position since she locked her room, deep in thought.

Sometime later, she moved to lie down on her bed, rest her right cheek on her hands and curled her body, her eyes held a gloomy look.

What she has seen earlier shook her whole being. Fan Xifeng couldn't fully comprehend why she had that reality like strange dream and why she saw that horrifying scene earlier in the bathtub but what Fan Xifeng realized is that, she's not going crazy.

She's normal. She's okay. There's nothing wrong about her. Above all, she needs to assure herself that indeed she is what she wanted herself to be right now but no….she just couldn't ignore it. No, she's not feeling normal, she's not feeling okay and above all, she knew and felt that something is really wrong with her. 'I must see a psychiatrist tomorrow.' Fan Xifeng thought. 'No! A psychiatrist won't be able to help you!' A part of her mind screamed. Fan Xifeng felt absolutely lost and her energy, totally extinguished.

Her train of thoughts was disturbed by a sudden call ringtone in her phone. She intend to ignore it however the caller is persistent and kept trying on calling her for fifth time. With slow motion, she rolled her body to get her phone beside her pillow. Seeing the unknown number she frowned. 'Who might this be?' Swiping the accept button, she put it on her left ear to listen to the caller, whoever it is.

The call connected but no, the caller didn't even greet her or to even say 'dialed a wrong number'. This stayed for some more seconds until Fan Xifeng's patience reached its limit, "I'm sorry but who are you?"

Silence.

Not even a breath of whoever is on the other line could be heard.

"I'm sorry but if it's some sort of modus I'm dropping this call." After saying so, Fan Xifeng dropped the call and added the number on the blacklist. "Does weirdness attracts weirdness?" Fan Xifeng murmured although she couldn't deny that the strange call pulled her back from drifting away back to reality.

On the other side from another country, a man put his reading glass on top of the opened laptop in front of him, his face haggard yet, his eyes held a refreshing look. In a deep, baritone voice he whispered in his self, "Such easily offended wildcat."

Fan Xifeng woke up late morning. Due to overthinking, her minds got exhausted and her system tried to recover by waking up late. Her assumed understanding to the scene she saw yesterday at the bathroom all the more frightened Fan Xifeng from ever entering that corner of her room.

She's not an emotionally weak woman, she grew and finished her studies in Country A and the environment in the country influence how she grew to be independent. But anyone who would be able to see their own self in a terrifying state would also be frightened to ever entering or even used that bathroom. Her plan to move the bathroom is resolute.

Fan Xifeng picked her phone from the nightstand table beside her bed to check the time, ten-twenty nine. Just a good time to instead have her brunch.

Fan Xifeng saw her grandparents in the living room talking to a woman when they looked after hearing footsteps from the stairs. Both her grandparents smiled at her from the sofa and Fan Xifeng saw her grandma said something to the woman. She must have told the woman, 'She's my granddaughter as the woman also turned her head to see her with a smiling face, however, after she saw Fan Xifeng finally approached near them, her smiling face cracked and was replaced by an awe and admiring gaze. 'Shan Lee!' Fan Xifeng thought.

"Miss Guan, this is our granddaughter. Now you understand why both families now were being hard on you?" Grandma Fan beamed. "She's our Fan family's jewel and it's both her birthday and engagement party that we are to celebrate so it must organize grandiosely."

'Indeed, its Guan Shan Lee, the event organizer both Fan and Han family get. Fan Xifeng felt goosebumps all over her. 'Oh God this is really happening! It's really happening!' Fan Xifeng couldn't help and still panic.

"Nice meeting you Miss Fan. I'm Guan Shan Lee and I will be the event organizer on your birthday and engagement party. If there is something that you wanted for us to do or any request as long as its within my capability, I will try my best to deliver it. I will leave my contact later."

Fan Xifeng wanted to escape as her emotions became unstable. She smiled and nodded. "I will have my brunch first. Would you mind if I go ahead?"

Guan Shan Lee paused. 'Wait, so… uninterested?!'

Shan Lee knew that the Fan is just a little behind the Han family when money, power and influence will serve as the measure. However, this extremely beautiful woman is to be engaged to the Capital's top one outstanding bachelor and yet, here she is acting like the event has nothing to do with her. Did this woman knew that she is set to be the Capital's most famous female and most envied woman since she's marrying to a handsome, excellent CEO?! If only she knew that many women and ladies hearts were broken to thousand pieces after the news that CEO Han Ziwei is set to be engaged.

Maybe to some, engagement is a small matter but in the capital, it is big much especially if it concerns two big families. An engagement is a symbol showing to public that two families are soon to be united. Anything that would cause for that union's failure is eliminated, even if it concerns another person because, a failed engagement could only means failure of these two families to unite and worst, may result for them to make an enemy of each other. That's why the second generation offspring could only obey their parents' arrangement, much if they're only relying on their own parents and are not capable enough to survive on their own.
