I looked at the message in awe. There was another person? How had my shadow soldiers not found them yet?
I sent out all of my soldiers then started scouring the map for another person. The arena was only about 1 kilometer squared so I had soon searched it all but I still couldn't find them.
Just as I was about to give up my mana started draining fast. This was a sign that my soldiers were dying quickly.
I looked over to where my soldiers were dying and sent every soldier over there, I ran over quickly as well.
I entered a clearing in the middle of the forest and saw a strange sight before me. The figure fighting my shadow soldiers was a woman, she was blond, extremely volumptuous and had pointed ears on either side of her head.
She was an elf!?
That was pretty cool. The elf race in games was always a cool one as they either specialised in magic or crafting. I often played as a half elf when I played fantasy games as this gave you the right to learn elf magic and human skills.
The woman was sweating profusely as she tried desperately to hold off the never-ending tide of black soldiers, however once more joined the fray she quickly succumbed to them and died.
I looked at her as she fell soundlessly to the ground, our eyes met and she smiled. I smiled back, unsure as to why and she died.

I looked at the notifications one after the other and smiled. All of these special abilities were really awesome, I've got to do more things first in order to get more stuff.
I was teleported back to the little grey room and my mana and HP were restored. A new notification popped up explaining the second part of the tournament again.
[The second round will be a team battle, you will be able to pick two others to help you in your fight against other teams. It is laid out in an 8, 4, 4, battle basis followed by the tournament, the best will be rewarded very well]
I selected Lucy and Lana as my teammates and they accepted, we were then teleported to another grey room.
I gave them both a quick once over, and considering that they had both just died they looked pretty good. "Are you guys okay?" I asked full of concern. They both quickly nodded and smiled before answering "It hurt when we died but once our eyes went black a feeling of joy passed over us and we woke up in the grey room." Lucy explained as they both held one of each of my hands.
This was new information for me so I absorbed it and put it to the back of my mind for later." How far did you get Lana?" I asked whilst looking down to her grasping at my hand. "I defeated the first 9 opponents but I died to a large polar bear on the tenth." she said whilst grimacing as she recalled the event. I squeezed her hand in reassurance and she came out of her trance.
"Well our boyfriend here was the one who killed me! Can you believe that? Our own boyfriend wouldn't let me win, and I only got third place at that!" Lucy started ranting from the side with a large smile pasted across her face. Lana's death was obviously harder than Lucy's due to the way it happened.
I had killed Lucy with a swift blow to the back of the neck, cutting out her nervous system and preventing her from feeling pain. Lana however died fighting a polar bear, her opponent was obviously not merciful and this took quite the toll on her but she was keeping up a brave front and drowning out the ominous feeling she had.
Suddenly we were teleported out of the room and into a white training room again, a timer popped up and started counting down from 10. As soon as it hit ten I summoned 5 shadow soldiers, I left one Orc Lord with Lana and Lucy at the back then darted forward with the other four soldiers.
I Blinked behind the mage of the team stood in front of us and quickly slit his throat. He didn't even have the chance to make a noise before he burst into smoke and died.
I felt a feeling of ecstasy as a whit and yellow light washed over me and my strength and vitality were boosted, I turned to look at Lana and smiled.
The other two opponents stood in awe back to back as we quickly encircled them. One held a large shield whilst the other wielded a spear, they were no match for my shadow soldiers who made quick work of them.
We were teleported to the next battle after a few minutes, our opponents this time were three girls. One wielded a large greatsword giving off a malicious vibe whilst the other two held a wand and staff respectively.
Once the timer hit zero we deployed the same tactic again only this time a large horse-like creature galloped next to me. I was startled at first but I soon realised that it was a summon from Lucy.
She must have copied the summon of an opponent during the match before. I Blinked behind the leftmost mage and slit her throat as the greatsword wielder clashed with the creature. My second Orc Lord made quick work of the other mage before she could even cast a spell.
A spear of light suddenly descended on the last remaining warrior and she died instantly.
