there was no one there anymore. how long was I unconscious for? I asked myself. I went back to the small bed and looked at my sword. I wished this was all a dream. but, you can't feel so much pain while asleep or else you would wake up. "do you know how long I was out for?" I asked the sword. "About 6 hours and a half" she answered calm. "6 HOURS?!" I asked her concerned. "Yes dear, Healing takes time." she answered me back still calm as always. I still couldn't believe that I was going to start getting used to speaking to a iron sword. I sighed, "How much have i missed?" i asked the sword. "Not much, Just missed a small bit of a small village meeting." she answered. "is it still going?" I asked. "Yes" I got my third answer from the sword. I picked up my sword. I opened the door. but as I was going. Sucas spotted me. before he spotted me I could tell he was mumbling to himself. "HEY! wait YOU were the one that got hurt AGAIN? how many times do you get HURT? and have you been sleeping HERE this whole time?" he asked me. I looked at him silent before I asked "I heard there was a village meeting, do you know where to go?" he mumbled to himself again. "Hello?" I asked impatient. "Shut up" he clicked back at me. "Just because you saw how lady Magreta Spoke to me, Gives you no rights to do the same." he spoke tough. "Ok, Sorry. But do you know-" I tried to ask but got cut off with: "Shh, I have guard duty right now. I'm not allowed to leave this place. I can't lead you there."
"oh" I said understanding. "Its at The Lisbon." he answered.
Lisbon? What the heck is Lisbon? I asked myself. "Uhmmmm..." I mumbled. "Dont tell me Lady magreta didn't show you the Lisbon." I stared silently at him. "Its behind the Lid at the Ish market." I looked at him silently. "What..?" i asked. "Behind the markets" he answered my silent look. "She didn't show me the market..." I said to him. He sighed before he raised his voice: "THEN WHAT DID SHE SHOW YOU?!"
"she showed me the farm, Some place in the woods, Uhh some villagers house, uh..a lake and uhm a..the...The...LIBRARY! and she introduced me to someone named..uh..stephanie? Uhh. I dont remember very well. and then uh I think..the nursing area. I'm not sure-"
"She showed you a lake? and a library? and villager's houses? and your not even sure she showed you the nurse area? Instead of showing you the guard place if you had problems, and other way more important places, like where to buy food from the food stands and the meeting place of the village?" he looked straight up disappointed in Lady Magreta. "I knew I should've showed you around and not her!" he raised his voice again annoyed. I saw a chair beside a door. I sat down there. "please dont mind me asking, But why are you the only one guarding this place and why does this place need guarding?" I asked. "Ughh, Because i was the unlucky one to guard this place. And the place doesn't really need guarding, it just needs ACTUAL nurses. NOT GUARDS!" he said annoyed. "so why are you guarding this place?" I asked. "the nurse and doctors had to get to the meeting. Everyone went beside me, another guard that had to guard another nursing area and the injured people that are unconscious or just can't go. I've been running around giving them whatever and acting like I'm their butler for a whole 3 hours. Ugh." he said complaining in the end.
"but isn't it a guard duty to do that?" I asked. "No, a guards duty is to protect the others! and fight for the weak and strong. They will fight to they have sacrificed their own lives for the people. they take proud in to protecting other people's lives. Other than their own life. Every guard that has sacrificed their lives are to be remembered as strong and selfless and are proudly presented for the rest of their lives."
"that sounds very much like a beautiful speech, But guards are not Nothing-Worth, they are also worth something, and they are humans and should be treating themselves well too! They weren't born to sacrifice themselves in this world. It's so very nice and selfless to sacrifice yourself for someone, But you weren't born to do exactly that." I said to Sucas.
"You dont see it the way I see it. For us guards, We WERE born to sacrifice. and we do not look upon ourselves as Nothing-worth. we Know we are worth something. but we chose to protect the lives of other people, For guards what you just said was very Offensive."
"I'm so sorry.. But I just... I dont think you guards deserve to die."
"Nobody deserves to die, unless it's those creatures, That is why we sacrifice ourselves for the lives of others. because they don't deserve to die. To look at us and pity us for what we sometimes have to do is Such a huge Offensive thing to do."
I sat there silently. just shocked over how these humans live. they are so independent. if you were in my world, fear would take the best of you DEFINITELY if there was different horrifying creatures.
To see such an amazing, selfless and independent perspective from a different person that doesn't even come from your world, is such an amazing thing to see. it's way different than what I'm used to.
