Ava walked through the Academy wearing Asher's shirt that was very oversized on her dainty frame, she could smell his masculine scent on it making her experience a slightly abnormal feeling in her everytime she breathed it in.
She was getting weird stares from Core Disciples causing her face to heat up red, she eventually made her way towards the Inner Disciple residence that looked to be a beggars land in comparison to the Core Disciples.
She was greeted by her friends on the way.
"Oh my God Ava, is it true that Prince Asher took you with him? What happened to your clothes? What did you do with him?"
"How does Prince Asher look up close? I heard he looked like a God, everyone was saying he is way too charming. Could you hook a girl up?"
She was bombarded with multiple questions, her friends hoping to get the latest update on the hot gossip of the Academy and Prince Asher.
Ava's face flushed as the thoughts of what Asher did to her resurfaced, she was supposed to throw those memories to the back of her mind, that mix of pain, pleasure, and intensity was something she didn't want to constantly think about and was embarrassed the way she allowed him to do it too.
One particular friend of Ava's acted like he didn't care as he walked with them, but his ears were perked up, alert to the utmost, making sure to hear every word that came out of Ava's beautiful mouth.
His name was Jake, he was also a Sovereign Genius Inner Disciple just like Ava, he met Ava at the Inner court Disciple's exam, they both came from Noble Families and successfully entered the Inner Disciple ranks after fighting to the top ranks of the Outer Disciples, they were both eighteen years old and he had a massive secret that he was withholding from her.
He was in love with Ava the first time he laid eyes on her, for the two years they spent at the Academy he would occasionally envision their wonderful future together.
He suppressed his desires of any confession toward her though, he was too scared of rejection and their friendship never being the same after.
When he heard that Prince Asher actually took Ava's hand and walked out of the classroom, he felt like vomiting, she has never shown any interest in any men, now they just met and she went to his fucking house?
The difference was too tremendous between them.
His heart turned heavy as he heard the favorable words all of Ava's friends that were girls were saying about Prince Asher, also, what the hell was she wearing?
Ava's sweet and pleasant sounding voice rang out somewhat bashfully.
"Nothing happened, we are just...friends" She said softly, a tinge of sadness in her voice.
"My clothes got dirty so he lent me his, I have to go change, I will see you all later."
Ava said quickly, she wanted to be left alone, she started picking up her pace toward her house that was just as ordinary as the rest of the Inner Disciples.
Before she could enter she heard a voice from behind her
"Wait"
Ava turned around and saw someone she has known for about a year now, her extremely good friend Jake.
Jake looked decent, he had brown hair and sea blue eyes that emitted an aura with a cordial feeling, successfully making others have a good opinion of him that doubled with his friendly attitude.
Ava wasn't feeling chatty so she only responded lightly
"Yes?"
Jake felt something was wrong as he looked at her, his heart violently beating as he stared at her beautiful face, long elegant brunette hair that was jumbled about like she just got out of bed made her look especially amorous, the large shirt that covered her torso and some of her legs revealed just the perfect amount of snow-white legs that looked extremely soft and lovely.
She was the woman of his dreams, but she seemed entirely different today.
"Are you okay?" Jake asked, trying not to say something he may regret.
"I'm fine Jake," Ava reassured him.
"Okay, I was just checking up on you, I didn't want some bastard taking advantage of you," Jake said with a smile.
Ava's chest tightened once he said those words, she felt her eyes blur, she gave what was supposed to be her most precious innocence to a guy who met her only a few hours ago, God what is wrong with me Ava thought, Asher's sister was right, I am weak.
Jake's smile stiffened at the response of Ava, his fist clenched as he started burning with anger
"What did he do to you Ava?!" Jake grabbed out at Ava's wrist, similar to what Asher did, but before he could make contact the star necklace in Ava's hand blew him meters away, he crashed into another Inner Disciple's house.
"What the..." Ava looked at the Star God Necklace that Asher gave her in her hand, it really did protect her like Asher said it would.
Ava walked up to Jake who was patting the debris off his Academy Uniform as he sorely got up.
"Ava, what the hell was that?"
"Sorry, it was just a new defensive artifact I got."
"I-It's fine," Jake said as he tried to suppress something from coming out of his throat.
*cough*
a line of red shot out of Jake's mouth.
Jake coughed up a mouthful of blood causing Ava's eyes to widen, this star necklace just gave a little warning to Jake and it actually injured him this much?
She was going to help him before she heard Jake's voice.
"We have to report that bastard, I don't know what he did to you, but I don't think its anything good."
Ava's beautiful and slender eyebrows furrowed as she defended the 'bastard'
"He's not a bastard, Jake, stop calling him that, and he didn't do anything that I wasn't really expecting." She muttered the last part, barely audible for Jake to hear.
"Why are you defending him? You seem so much different now Ava, what did he do to you?!" Jake said, half screaming his words in anger.
"Stop it, you are the one acting differently. I'm fine, just leave me alone."
Ava quickly accessed her storage bracelet, that stored low graded healing pills
"This is all I have, for now, just take these for any injuries you may have gotten, I'm sorry."
Ava said, walking to her house as Jake looked at her slender back figure, scared to go after her because of the necklace, feeling heartbroken.
