It was a sunny day in Tokyo. A boy, with silver hair and blood red eyes, was standing next to a bus stop. He was wearing a white suit with a red coat, a black trouser and a white pair of shoes. On the left side of his coat, he had a golden emblem. The emblem was a golden circle with a fire inside it. He wasn't holding any bags though. The boy had a cold look on his face and the bus just arrived. He walked inside and sat in a back seat, since no one else was in there.
'My name is Akiyama Yuuki. I am 16 years old and I am currently joining a new high school'
Yuuki started looking outside of the window.
'My sister suggested me to go there since she liked it that much. She is a third year there'
The bus stopped and opened the doors. Some people walked in and some of them were wearing the same uniform with Yuuki. Yuuki saw on the students walking inside.
'They should be from the same high school'
After some time, the bus arrived to the school. The other students walked inside when Yuuki was outside and looking on the gate. Above the gate, it had written "Akiyama high school".
'Oh yeah, my father built that high school a long time ago, when he was still alive'
Around the gate, cherry blossoms' petals were slowly falling on the ground.
'Here goes nothing, I guess'
Yuuki walked inside. The school opening had started and Yuuki looked around. He saw a male with brown hair and eyes smiling.
'Oh, Itsuki is here too?'
"And now, a speech from our student council president, Akiyama Kosuki"
The principal walked back and a girl with long black hair and black eyes walked in front with a serious look on her face.
'Yeah, that's my big sister, she is the student council president alright'
"As you may heard from the principal, my name is Akiyama Kosuke, the student council president. It's a pleasure to have every one of you here with us and I hope we will all do our best on our studies"
Kosuki continued explaining the rules of the school, she talked about the past experiences to the new students and some general information. After some time that this was over all the students walked in their classes. Yuuki was seating in the last seat next to the window. Itsuki approached Yuuki's seat.
"I wasn't expecting to see you here Yuuki"
Yuuki turned his look on Itsuki.
"Hm?"
Itsuki was smiling.
"I mean, it's your old—"
"Don't"
Yuuki aborted Itsuki.
"No one has to learn about this"
"Oh, sorry about it"
Itsuki giggles and rubbed the back of his head with his left hand.
"Everyone, take your seats. Homeroom starts"
A female figure, with long black hair and black eyes, walked inside. She was wearing a black suit and a black shirt. She left her books on the desk that was in front of the class. The students sat on their seats. Yuuki turned his look on a girl that was seating next to him. She had straight black long hair and purple eyes.
"Alright students, my name is Kasumi Yoshihara, and since its first day here I might as well explain the rules of the academy"
The teacher shouted. And wrote some things on the board.
"So, this is a normal high school and—Maybe that's a perfect time to test your knowledge, someone wants to explain the rules?"
Some of the students raised their hands.
"You there"
The teacher aimed to Itsuki with her left index. Itsuki was seating in the other side of the class, on the middle seat.
"What's your name?"
Itsuki stood up.
"My name is Tashiro Itsuki ma'am"
Itsuki sounded anxious.
'Is he afraid of something?'
"Begin with the story of that place"
"A-Alright. As you all may know, thirty years ago 'E-9321', a meteorite from Saturn, lost its track and came towards earth. It hit japan and gave many people supernatural abilities. Three people formed teams, that later became organizations, with different beliefs. The organizations are 'Nishiyama', 'Fujikawa' and 'Mizuno'. Nishiyama and its followers want to win the war and conqueror the earth with their powers. Fujikawa wants to expand the supernatural abilities worldwide with different experiments, but this will probably lead to chaos. And last Mizuno, our organization, our goal is to stop both of them and bring peace to Tokyo once and for all"
Kasumi seemed surprised.
"Well done kid, you sure know your stuff"
'With that being said, all those three companies have different opinion in how to use those powers gifted from the meteorite, so it's like not the two but the three sides of a coin'
Itsuki sat down to his seat.
"So now we need someone to explain the rules…"
Some students raised their hands. Kasumi picked the girl sitting next to Yuuki. She stood up.
"My name is Hagiwara Miyuki"
Miyuki was calm. Yuuki turned slightly his look on her.
"The rules are simple. Every student starts with 10 points for the whole three years in their high school. Breaks last 30 minutes each, so in chase some students want to duel, they won't skip class. A student has the right to challenge anyone in a duel and the other person can't deny it. If they deny it, they accept their defeat and lose a point. If they accept, they bet points and they fight a duel. The one winning is taking all the points from the bet"
Kasumi giggled and clapped slowly.
"Woah, I sure didn't expect students to actually study in here. But here we have some extra things. You may sit down"
Miyuki sat to her seat.
"So, as you all may have heard, Hagiwara was right about the point system. But since we are in high school, we complicate things a bit more. You are able to form teams of five people max, and take some quests from the principal or teachers. The quests are rather easy so our professionals can handle harder ones"
'I see, so in order for them to complete more and harder quests only they can, we are going to do the easy job done'
"The teaming up part is compulsive, but the quest thing is optional to whoever is willing to help. You have till midterms to find a team, otherwise, doesn't matter how many points you have, you are getting expelled"
Some students seemed surprised and some didn't. They started whispering to each other. After some time, the bell rang.
"That's it for today"
Kasumi took her books and walked outside of the classroom.
'So, I have to find some acquaintances if I want to stay in here'
Itsuki approached Yuuki.
"Hey Yuuki, how about we form a team?"
Itsuki smiled and Yuuki turned his look on him.
"Hm sure"
"Perfect, now we want three more people. I think I am going to leave it to you"
"Why is that?"
"Because you were always bad on making friends and socializing. So as your only friend, I want the best thing for you"
Yuuki stood up. He closed his eyes and sighed.
"Fine, but don't come crying when we get expelled"
"We won't, I trust you"
Itsuki thumped up with his right hand.
"I am heading to the cafeteria, be right back"
"Oh ok"
Itsuki sounded like he had a lot of energy.
Yuuki was drinking a soda next to a vending machine. He pulled it out of his mouth and held it in his hand.
"Ahh"
Yuuki exhaled relieved with closed eyes.
"Whaddya want?"
Yuuki seemed to talk to someone. Suddenly a girl short blue hair and blue eyes, came out of the wall, next to Yuuki.
"Wow I am surprised; my supernatural ability isn't supposed to be spotted by humans. You really are her brother, aren't you?"
Yuuki opened his eyes and saw the girl.
"Who knows, maybe I am or maybe I am not"
"Hmm"
The girl smiled and closed her eyes. The she opened them and looked to Yuuki.
"My name is Sakuma Amaya. I am in class 2-B and I the student council vice president"
"And what business you might have with a first year like me?"
"Akiyama Kosuki, the student council president, wants to have a word with you"
'What does she want?'
Yuuki and Amaya were outside of the student council room.
'Here goes nothing I guess'
Amaya opened the door and they saw inside Kosuki sitting on a seat and reading a book.
"Pardon me ma'am, I successfully escorted Akiyama Yuuki to your office"
Yuuki bowed.
"Good morning"
"Hm?"
Kosuki turned her look to Yuuki while he was raising his back.
"That's Yuuki?"
"Indeed, he is"
Kosuki stood up and walked closer. She was checking on Yuuki. He offered his hand for handshake.
"Nice to see you aga—"
Kosuki hugged him tight.
"Oh, it's really you, after five years I finally see you again"
Kosuki seemed so happy and she was smiling. Yuuki tried to push her back.
"Sister there is a person looking, behave yourself"
"You really haven't change at all, you are still cold and—"
Amaya threw a book to Kosuki's head.
"Ouch"
Kosuki rubbed the back of her head and turned to Amaya while crying.
"That hurt Amaya"
Amaya coughed and Kosuki stopped crying and looked serious.
"Come on, you are no fun"
"So, why did you summon me for here?"
Kosuki turned her look on Yuuki. She aimed the table in the middle of the room that had four seats around it.
"Take a seat"
Yuuki sat down and Kosuki nobed to Amaya. Amaya closed the door and the windows and opened a light. Kosuki sat from the other side of the table.
"As you may have heard by now, you need to make teams in order to stay on school, correct?"
"Yes, the teacher mentioned that"
"I am here to inform you of a very important quest you have to do"
"What do you mean by that?"
"We both know your power and your potential"
Kosuki stood up and wrote three names on the board. The names where "Hagiwara Miyuki, class 1-A. Shinohara Azumi, class 1-C. Murai Emiko, class 1-B".
"Those are the three most powerful students from first year, your quest is to team up with all three of them and one more to your likings. With all of your power I, the student council president, will give you special quests for professionals. I already talked with the principal about this"
Yuuki seemed more serious.
"Can't I just go by myself?"
"Of course, you can. I mean we both know you can, but this way you will pull too much attention and we don't want that"
'She has a point'
"I already found one teammate, so now I have to find out the other three?"
"Correct"
Yuuki thought it over for a second.
"I accept"
"Good. Also, it would be unfair for others if you start with ten whole points. Give me your phone"
Yuuki gave his phone to Kosuki.
"You will start with only one"
Kosuki deleted nine points of Yuuki's phone.
'I can't really say anything against it, but what are you planning Kosuki…?'
Kosuki gave the phone back to Yuuki.
"You are dismissed"
Yuuki stood up and walked towards the door. He opened it and walked out.
"Oh and, I wait news soon"
Yuuki got outside and closed the door behind him. Next morning, he got out of dorms and was walking to the school.
'Team up with the three strongest students in 1st year, easier said than done… And even if I manage to team up, who knows how they will react with each other. That might affect the team's results as well'
Yuuki was lost on his thoughts and while turning on a corner he fell into Miyuki. They both fell in ground.
"Oh sorry, I—"
Yuuki saw that it was Miyuki he fell to. He got flashbacks with her in class. Yuuki got up and offered his hand to Miyuki. Miyuki hit his hand harshly.
"Don't touch me you scum"
'You are the one hitting my hand though'
Miyuki got up and she seemed irritated. She aimed with her hand to Yuuki.
"I challenge you to a duel, stranger"
"Stranger? We are on the same class Miyuki"
Miyuki got surprised and blushed. She seemed angrier now.
"S-Such insolence, how dare you refer to me with my first name!?"
'Well, you called me a stranger and you sit next to me'
"Today, after school in battling area behind school building. You'd better be there"
"And what if I refuse?"
Miyuki started laughing. After some seconds she stopped.
"That would be against the rules, wouldn't it?"
'Even if I say that she has no proof for reporting me, she can just challenge me in front of someone for witnesses'
Yuuki looked to Miyuki. She was looking furious with an evil smile on her face.
'Great, that's the way we should start working as comrades. Kosuki knew something and left me with one point only… What now?'
