It was lunch break. Yuuki was sitting on his desk thinking while having his right hand under his chin and his left palm basing his right elbow. He remembered Miyuki aiming with her right index on him and looking angry.
'I challenge you to a duel, stranger'
Yuuki saw to Miyuki's seat. She wasn't currently there.
'What was she thinking'
Itsuki was sitting in his seat and saw Yuuki thinking. He got up and approached Yuuki.
"What's up Yuuki?"
Yuuki turned his look to Itsuki that was approaching his seat while holding a lunch box.
"Nothing much, just general thoughts"
Itsuki sat in the seat in front of Yuuki while facing Yuuki's seat. He left his lunch box on Yuuki's desk and unpacked it. It was a black lunch box. He opened it and it had many delicious looking foods. Itsuki started digging in.
"Want some?"
Yuuki put his right palm in front of him.
"I'll pass"
"S-So, what's up. I mean from today morning you seem kinda lost in your thoughts"
Itsuki was speaking while eating.
"It's nothing, don't worry 'bout it"
"Oh come on, I know you since middle school. Something's on your mind"
"Whatever"
Yuuki explained the situation to Itsuki. Itsuki was done eating by that time.
"I see. So, you are going to fight Miyuki, the girl sitting next to you, in a battle today. But your sister told you to team up with her"
"Yes"
Itsuki closed his box.
"Then just go for it, I mean since you have to convince her to join our team, then win her and invite her to our team"
"Easier said than done"
The bell rang.
"Oh I should go, good luck with your fight. I can't come to cheer you up, because I have a lesson today with a tutor"
"Tutor?"
"Gonna explain other time"
Itsuki closed his black lunch box, packed it up and went back to his seat. Meanwhile, Miyuki was in the library and she was searching for students' information.
'I found it'
Miyuki had in front of her a file with Yuuki's information. Not long after, school was finished and Yuuki was standing some meters away from Miyuki.
'So here we are'
No one was on the tribunes. The place was covered by silence. Yuuki was standing straight and cool as always. Miyuki had a rather calm look as well.
"Match start"
Both took out their phones.
"I challenge Akiyama Yuuki to a duel. Whoever wins takes five points from the losing one"
"We have a problem"
"What is it?"
"I happen to have only one"
Miyuki started laughing.
"Second day here and already lost so many duels? I didn't think you are that pathetic. Alright one point from both sides"
Both of their points count had lost one point. Yuuki's went to zero and Miyuki's to forty-nine. In both of their screens a message appeared saying the duel had started.
"Before the match begins, I have several questions I want to ask you"
'Hm? Wasn't expecting that'
"Go on"
"I would even without your concern"
Miyuki's tone was a bit angry.
'Now that's a way to ask people'
"Anyway, I search you up a bit Yuuki"
'Wow, she learnt my name when we sit next to each other, well done'
"Why, why all your scores in your tests, exams and entrance exams are exactly 50? I mean it can't be a coincidence to write such grades all the time"
Yuuki smiled a bit.
"Oh really? First time I hear that"
"Don't play dumb with me"
Miyuki seemed pissed off.
"Let's see how you'll answer once I'm done with you"
Miyuki disappeared from the place she was standing and appeared behind Yuuki. She was going to kick him with her right leg to the of his head. Yuuki caught her leg with his right hand next to his head without seeing her.
"What the"
Miyuki disappeared again and appeared to the place she was standing before.
"I see, space manipulation"
Miyuki was surprised.
"H-How can you tell so soon?"
Yuuki smiled a bit.
"Easy. You simply started running towards me and the next second you were behind me. If it was super speed then you wouldn't need to start running. So, I figured out if you weren't that fast, then the place you were running was shorten.
Miyuki smiled.
"That answers my first question, so your grades weren't just a coincidence"
"And what if they weren't"
Miyuki disappeared from the place she was standing and appeared right next to Yuuki. She tried to punch him in his right side, but he jumped behind and dodged it. She continued appearing around him and trying to punch or kick him but every time Yuuki was dodging it.
'If I continue like this, he will get exhausted and stopped being able to dodge, won't he?'
After sometime of fighting, Miyuki seemed exhausted and started panting. She stopped attacking.
"How, how can you be so fast?"
"What do you mean?"
"You know what I mean, I am appearing around you and still can't catch you off guard. How can you do this?"
"Um, luck?"
Miyuki was speechless.
"So you are saying all the time that I was trying to his you, it's just luck preventing me from getting a direct hit?"
"Seems like it"
Miyuki was pissed and disappeared. She didn't appear anywhere. Yuuki felt a punch in his belly. He continued feeling punches and kicks on his body from many different places.
'She is faster than before; I can't see her at all'
"How do you like that!?"
Miyuki sounded furious. She kicked Yuuki in the face with her right leg. She sent him flying to wall. Yuuki hit the wall and he was injured.
"Let's end it and get you expelled already"
Yuuki laughed a bit.
"I fought you without my supernatural ability and almost won, what makes you think that I've lost?"
Miyuki was surprised.
"W-Wait, isn't your ability to sense attacks or something like that?"
"Nope, that's pure battle skill"
Miyuki walked a bit back.
"Who-Who are you?"
Yuuki stood up slowly.
"N-No, stay down"
Miyuki disappeared. Yuuki's eyes were covered by his hair. A blue light came out of his right eye and Miyuki appeared in front of Yuuki's face standing still with her right hand clinched ready to punch.
"I-I can't move, what have you done"
Miyuki shouted angry.
"That's checkmate"
Yuuki's eyes were shining light blue. Suddenly a big piece of metal eradicated from a wall nearby and surrounded Miyuki while making her unable to move.
"W-What did you do"
The metal slowly took her body shape.
"Admit defeated or else"
The metal surrounding her body got tighter.
"O-Ok, ok you win"
Yuuki's eyes turned back to normal and the metal surrounding Miyuki's body fell on the ground. Miyuki stood on her feet. The points returned to Yuuki's phone and he went on two points. Yuuki turned around and walked away. It was night time and Yuuki was lying on his bed back in the dorms.
'Now that all of this happened, how am I even supposed to ask Miyuki to come and join my team'
Suddenly, Yuuki felt his right pocket, where he had his phone, vibrating. He put his right hand on and took his phone out of his pocket. He raised his right hand above his chest, while holding his phone. Itsuki's name was in phone.
'What does he want right now?'
Yuuki used his left index to slide the green button and put his phone next to his right ear.
"Yo Yuuki, got a sec?"
"Sure, what's up?"
"I've just finished the tutoring thing, mind if I come from your place? I wanna hear what happened in the duel today"
"I guess it's ok"
"Perfect I'll be there in ten minutes"
Yuuki heard someone knocking his door. He stood up and started walking towards the door.
"Ok, I'll be waiting"
Yuuki closed the call while walking to open the door. The person waiting knocked again.
"I'm coming"
Yuuki pushed down the door handle and he pulled the door. He saw Miyuki waiting outside of the door.
"Good evening"
Miyuki seemed rather calm and maybe embarrassed.
"Didn't expect you here after what happened, come in"
Yuuki walked on the right and Miyuki walked inside. She took off her shoes and they walked the hallway. Miyuki saw on her left Yuuki's kitchen was so clean and from the right the bath was clean as well.
"Wow, you sure know how do chores, don't you?"
"It's not that hard"
Miyuki wide opened her eyes and swallowed.
"Y-Yeah, it's easy"
Yuuki turned and saw her being embarrassed.
'So she doesn't know how to do chores'
The hall way was ending on the left down side of Yuuki's room. They walked on the main room. It had Yuuki's bed on the right side, a desk from the left and a table in the middle. They sat around the table.
"What brings you here at this time? I mean you will get in trouble if someone sees you being on the boys' dorm"
"I-I actually wanted to apologize for my behavior. I was mean to you for no reason"
"Oh that? It's fine"
Yuuki was cold when Miyuki was a bit embarrassed.
"Since middle school started, I had a trouble making friends… I was mostly alone on my desk all day. So, I decided that this should change and this year I tried to change my behavior. It might have been a bit too aggressive, and I apologize for that"
'Yeah a bit too aggressive'
"Don't mention, it's fine"
"Thanks for your understanding"
Miyuki stood up, bowed and sat down again.
"You of course didn't come till here just to apologize, so what did you come for exactly?"
Miyuki seemed surprised.
"Oh yeah, I wanted to ask you about the files I found while searching. I saw you've never attended any activity using your supernatural ability, but why? I mean telekinesis is pretty cool, isn't it?"
'Seems she can use her brain for once'
"How—"
"You basically enabled me from moving and you moved pieces of metal as well. You can't use two supernatural abilities so the last option is telekinesis, isn't it?"
'Well she has a point'
"Its just telekinesis is pretty powerful, and I can't just go around and tell people about that. I use it only when it's needed, that's why I am that good on martial arts"
"I see that makes—"
Someone knocked the door.
"Hm? You waiting someone?"
"I dunno"
Yuuki stood up and walked towards the door. He opened the door and pulled her slowly.
'Come to think of it I was waiting someone…"
"Yo Yuuki, may I come in?"
Miyuki got anxious.
"O-Of course"
Itsuki took off his shoes and walked inside. He saw Miyuki sitting on the table.
