The talk disapeared and in silence they listened to her. "There is food in main storage. But we all have food in the cars. So get that food and the one in storages we will use later. Everyone go to your rooms and wash up and rest for a day. After that I will give you all duties. We must survive this together. Brian, can you and your people help older people with their supplies. I will go get mine with Nicky and will go to sleep. I'm dying for bed."
This time Jasek just came with Chen to help her with her supplies and rushed to biggest apartment in shelter.
Before entering cars they saw few trucks and quickly shared food evenly. Luckily all people that came with her were not problematic so the food was shared quickly.
As she entered her apartment she knew she will change it completely. Brown in brown with baige. She hated those earthen colors. It was so... dark and not comfortable.
Jasek and Chen quickly brought everything into her floor and without glancing inside curiously like some would , but when they were about to leave, but Maria stopped them. She took her bag and pulled out fever and cold medicine.
"I'll be tiered for now. If there is someone that got cold, give them basic medicine. I will from now heal only bigger things as I must save energy. We still have milion's of zombies that might evolve. They should take care about basic health alone. Day after the rain will stop and we can go and gather stuff in all towns nearby. Tell everyone to rest. I'll lock the main gate outside and on shelter, so they can sleep in peace. This place, I will not give away."
The two men just nodded and saw Nicky supporting Maria as they entered inner rooms.
Outside Jasek glanced at Chen. "We must protect her. I do like her, but survival is more important than my personal affections. She is only hope we have."
Chen glanced back at the door and agreed. "I'm with you."
The two went up to help rest of the people and Brian chose in the end to send his group to take rest on the level where Maria was as her protection.
If he knew that she already expected that, he would be stunned.
"My beautiful, wonderful, fluffy, precious bed!" Maria just took shower and slowly entered her fluffy bed.
Nicky was tiered as well, but chose to massage her. "You are healer and even tho you are now evolved, but only one level. Your body is still frail. Let me massage you so you can sleep better."
Maria had absolutely nothing against it. As Nicky softly rubbed her back, Maria slipped into deep sleep, while Zero floated over her body. "She is incredible. By the way, she is already second level. I am more and more surprised by humans. At that time when she killed that huge amount of dead humans, she should have fainted, but she still kept on. I'm amazed."
"Second level? " Nicky was stunned and then smiled at him." Did she get new powers?"
"No..." He saw her crestfallen expression and rolled his eyes. "Her powers rose as well. I passed so many worlds and I never saw anyone that went through such small amount of light cycles and rose in power. Anyway, she will be literally asleep for a day. Go sleep as well. I'll massage her. After all I have six arms. Your kind has only two."
He shook his head as he saw her expression and did what he learned from internet. Yes, on internet he found even more informations than he expected.
Humans indeed have weird wish for destruction, but they are amazing Creators as well. So amazing.
He sighed as he massaged her body. The tissue was strangely soft and hard on some places and her skeleton was not as hard as Holik on Planet Du'x.
Somehow he started accepting strange these creatures. Humans... are interesting.
The next day started with everyone except children to come and help clear the surroundings.
A woman looked at her with tiered face. "We should do what?"
Maria pointed at the trees in direct surroundings. "Cut all these trees untill the wall. We must dig out the roots as well and then we will prepare for winter. Even though we still have gasoline to heat, but we need gasoline to travel to nearby places and gather food. The moment those things explode, we won't be able to leave surrounding for a long time."
Chen came to her and shook his head. "Cutting trees for firewood is fine. No need to dig out toots. Let's make greenhouses around us as ground will become radioactive as well."
She rubbed her head. "We need to find place where we can find greenhouses. I wish we could build something bigger, like a fine, but that would be ridiculous. When we go to the city let's check if there is some building and planting stores. For now, let's gather food and seeds. Planting won't be possible anyway anytime soon."
They all relaxed after her decision and made plans for their trip. Maria was not unreasonable. "We can do that when earth is not this muddy. I know everyone needs rest, me included, but we have no idea when those things will blow and how nature will react after that. Let's go and try to find more food for now and see if there are more survivors in nearby towns. But..."
She looked at everyone with serious expression. "I mean it when I say you all must listen to me. I literally have no time to play games. I will use my powers to kill zombie horde, but that doesn't mean I can look from back and front. You all need to help in case it's just few or few dozen. I will use my powers only if it's big amount of them."
Of course she knew that some of newcommers had their own ideas and spoke honestly. "In nearby L town is as well a shelter. Those that do not want to listen to my commands can go there. We will check it out and those that want to stay can leave this place. But my warning to you is that once you leave, there is no turning back. I literally will refuse letting you in, no matter do you beg or threaten. This is my final decision."
She stood up and turned computer on, but actually Zero was helping. "There are few places here..."
They made decision to leave the shelter before dawn with few women that will take care of few children in one floor while few of guards will stay and lick the shelter until they come back.
The third floor was locked so if someone really had stupid idea to move their hands or feet, they wouldn't be able.
But those that came with her didn't know that.
