The light ball was straining her body so that she started bleeding from her ears, eyes and mouth. But they didn't dare to stop her as backlash might be deadly for her. So all they do is to look at her with the stifled breath.
Her eyes suddenly popped open and as if she pushed heavyweight of her a deep sound came out her chest and she yelled. ''Go!''
Almost as if it listened to her words, the strange power ball flew away from her and appeared over the stadium. Zombies instantly could feel impending doom over their heads and tried to escape, but the ball suddenly exploded.
Everyone head to avert their gazes from the brightness of the light and as they shine became lighter they saw... nothing. From the strength of the light, the sky cleared and then sunshine fell over the empty place.
Just then they realized that all zombies were turned into dust. They turned their eyes towards Maria that suddenly tumbled and was about to fall when Brian and Jasek simultaneously jumped to hold her. Even tho this time they just glanced at each other, they both knew now was no time for their silent rivalry.
Jasek was bigger and stronger than Brian so he just picked her up and rushed down. ''This is ridiculous. She is the only healer and now she needs healing. We need to help her somehow.''
''She told me that such thing might happen and we should let her regain her own energy. She just asked that no one bothers her until she wakes up. I guess she predicted such a thing. Hurry up. The clouds are now dissipating, but the night is coming soon. Let's get her back in safety.'' Brian was sure that she knew her own condition and assumed she wanted to heal herself.
But actually it was worse than that. Zero almost cured from inside his space. ''This damn woman. She used too much fo her inner energy. This time she will rise in power, but the price she will pay... This is going to be quite painful and I can't help her.''
The zombies at the stadium might be dead, but many more were still between buildings so as they rushed, they started decimating every they could see. The less they were, the more chances they had to survive.
At their apartment, Nicky opened the door and pointed at the big bed. ''Put her down, I will help her take clothes off.'' Without even waiting for them to answer, she started taking Maria's shoes and socks off, but when she was about to take her shirt off she froze as she saw the door still open. ''What are you waiting for? This is not a striptease show, get out!''
She knew she was rude, but in this situation, she didn't really care. With furious expression, she pointed at the open door and both men rushed our, realizing how indecent this might seem. With a bang, she closed the door and rushed to take her clothes off.
Suddenly sound could be heard. ''Take all her clothes off and put her into the warm bathing water. Soon her body will release all the bad energy her body gathered in the last years. She will soon evolve as well, so she will need your help. You need to let go of the water as soon as it becomes dark and fill the new warm water. This will be hard on you, but it is good for her. Hurry.''
Nicky was astonished by the voice but had no time to chat so she rushed to the bathroom to turn on the water. But now she had another problem. Maria was not tall, but she had a healthy weight. To bring her to the bathroom, it was so hard that she sweated buckets until she successfully ou her inside.
Suddenly a strange burned plastic smell surrounded Maria. It was like she made a fire and put a bunch of plastic inside it. A strange black film appeared on her skin and an almost gooey substance started flowing down into the warm water, making it dirty.
The smell became stronger, almost as she was literally brings something nasty in her body.
Nicky had to put a mask on her face and open lightly the window as the nasty smell became stronger, making her cough. But strange thing happened to her as well. She started feeling nauseous and she started puking. Strangely, she pucked the same black substance.
''What... what is this?'' Nicky felt weak and strong at the same time.
Suddenly a strange voice could be heard. ''This is weird. How can a commoner become a power user? You, humans, are strange creatures. Did you have your first evolution? This is crazy!''
His voice was strangely excited and scared. Humans are truly the scariest creatures he ever met in his existence. This is the first time he saw any creature get an evolution afterward. He still needs so many details. His memory will recover slowly, but as much he could think of, he never saw this coming.
Nicky smiled but suddenly started squirming on the floor. ''It hurts so much...''
Zero sighed. ''I forgot to tell you. Every evolution is connected to pain. Strangely, Maria controls the pain amazingly. Try concentrating on your power, maybe then the pain will get better. That is what she is doing.''
But Nicky never had to deal with such complicated things and felt pain and dizziness. She rushed back to toled again and started puking, followed by Zero's voice. ''Well, puking is another way to get rid of some of the impurities in the human body. Have fun.''
''F... fun?'' Nicky almost wanted to puke blood in anger. Does that clueless system think this is fun?
But after her puking stopped for a moment, she rushed to release water near Maria, which turned by now completely muddy and dark. She quickly filled the new water and was about to check on Maria , but a new wave of puking started again and she rushed back to the toilet.
For a couple of hours both, Nicky and Maria were releasing black substances from their bodies. the only difference was that Nicky just gained her basic power, while Maria evolved to the next stage of powers.
