Chapter 7 - What Happened?

I guess I woke up in the morning with the craziest bed head in this world because when I saw Alam he almost jumped out of his skin.

"What happened?!"

"Nothing" I yawned as I made my way to one of the nearby bathrooms.

It was helpful that Alam put away all the red carpets before I got here but it made me question him even more.

What did he want from me? Why was I here? Why was he being so nice to me? How did I get here? How did he have so much information on me?

I sneezed.

"Mmmmmmmm altitude sickness" I mumbled as I brushed my teeth.

Wow. It sure has been a long time since I have seen a mirror.

When I was back in my early days of elementary school, I got bullied a lot for being fat.

Classical.

My real mother got rid of all the mirrors in the house after I told her what happened.

The good old days.

I sure miss them.

I stared at my own reflection for a bit before I pinched my cheeks.

After I lost some weight, I started to become a little- no, a lot more popular.

I could see why.

Me, Emma Winston, a girl with bright pink cheeks now staring at myself in a mirror, was beautiful.

I had bright, almost jewel like green forest eyes that reminded me of the cottage I lived in. My hairy was slightly curly and a dazzling bright red-orange tone with dark brown coloring near the head. I had a lot of freckles that I noticed but it only brought me out.

I wasn't really tall but I had a slender body with nice curves and big.........

"Are you done?"

I heard a knock on the restroom door and I turned around slightly before already guessing who it was.

"Yes yes" I smiled at Han, the Butler.

The time I have spent in this realm was closing fast to four weeks now.

I didn't pay much mind to it because Alam said that time in Griseo Mundi is much slower compared to how fast my real world goes.

This also explained why Alam was just a young boy on Earth but an old hot dude in Griseo Mundi.

I sighed.

"I hope I don't have wrinkles when I go back to Earth" I said aloud.

"Of course you won't, Miss Emma" replied Han almost robotically.

I had gotten close to Han in the time I have spent here.

There wasn't much to do because Alam was always out doing "business" while I ate and slept in my time here.

Han kept me company most of the time and as of late, was pretty much my closest friend besides Giraffe.

"Breakfast today consists of a potato salad topped with bacon and eggs" Han announced.

I sat down in my chair and started eating.

Han was a slender older figure with wrinkles around the tips of his smile and eyes. He was a warm figure despite always wearing a tuxedo and tie.

He had gentle gray hair and thin brown eyes.

The classical kind Butler.

The only thing that stood out on him was his marriage ring.

A ruby red ring with gold lacing.

I had asked Han about it before but he had only said, "My lover, the fox, had passed long before me which is a shame because I must take care of the young master."

I won't question him about it but I will ask why Alam comes home every night with blood soaked cloths.

Breakfast.

Lunch.

Diner.

Midnight.

I got up.

It was silent and dark out.

I checked the time based on the angle of the lighting in the room because there weren't any clocks in Griseo Mundi.

"Alam" I whispered as I made my way down to the front door through the massive hallways out to the waterfall entrance.

There he was.

The man in white now soaked in red.

I sighed as I took his hand and led him inside.

Around midnight every night, Han gave me his task of helping Han make his way inside.

Han said there was a barrier around the house so the Alam couldn't get inside when he needed to come in after missions.

I volunteered for this position because I found it hard enough staying at someone else's place without doing anything to help out around.

I slowly led Alam to his bedroom before taking off his white shirt and washing it.

I didn't take off his pants but instead removed the sheets on the bed in order to make sure they didn't stain.

"Don't go" Alam muttered in his sleep before reaching a hand out towards me.

His eyes where still closed but I felt his gaze on me.

I walked outside the door and shut it close before whispering, "goodnight."

I don't know why, but I thought I heard laughter from inside the door as I left the room.
