The coffee shop down the street wasn't half bad.
After getting out the hospital finally after about two months, I successfully got a job in the coffee shop down the street in the apartment I lived in now.
I lived in an apartment in Korea now because I was to afraid of the woods to ever go back.
It was the darkness inside Griseo Mundi I feared, it was what was beyond it.
I got out of bed.
I brushed my teetg, combed my curly orange hair the best I could, got breakfast, changed my cloths, and then headed out to work.
I made my way down the stairs that lead up to my apartment and passed by one of the managers.
"Hi Miss Landlady" I said cheerfully as I skipped down the streets.
"Hello Dear" the old Lady Manager said with a small wave.
I crossed down a street and headed down to the coffee shop with a bag in hand and a bread in mouth.
"Hello Mister Homeless Man" I said dropping a coin in the old man's hat.
"A good morning to you Lass" He said tipping his hat.
I had become familiar enough with my surrounding community that I could even say I had friends almost.
As I entered the coffee shop and took off my light red coat, I saw one of my friends walk through the door.
"Speak of the devil!" I said as I jumped up and hugged my friend Jung as he walked into the shop.
"Oi Emma!" He said catching me mid jump and high fiving me.
Maybe because I missed part of my childhood when I was younger and almost just got killed, I valued life a little more and decided to do the little things.
Me and Jung started off our morning serving the customers with their usual coffees.
Around 3 o'clock in the afternoon, the Highschool and college students where allowed out and me and Jung served them their boba milk teas and coffees.
"Hey Maddy, catch!" Jung said shooting me a boba brown sugar with milk.
I caught it and looked up at him puzzled.
He handed me a red straw.
"You said red was your favorite color so.... here!" He said giving me a smile.
I smiled back.
I didn't like red though.
I wore it to warn away demons.
