Chapter 2 - Chapter 2; Zion

Zion thought about the events that happened earlier in the day. His day started in the car tide to the college. The ride was only three hours long but with the two knuckleheads that were in the car it felt like five. Xander and Zane were being idiots the whole car ride, bickering, goofing off, annoying Zion and Alo and talking about all the girls they were going to meet nonstop. Both Xander and Zane were excited to be going to the college so they could see new girls, they aren't looking for commitment, but for "fresh meat". Which Zion thought was a strange and gross way of putting it, and Alo wanted nothing to do with.

Zion wasn't interested in the girls he would meet or anything. He thought the whole idea of college was boring, but liked the thought of being away from Elboria and his way of life for a while. He wasn't excited about the girls because he didn't see the point. With his looks, figure, demeanor, and position, he could have any girl he wanted. They could be willing, or not. He just didn't see the importance of love.

His parents died because of their love for each other, and his aunt and uncle (who became his guardians) had an arranged marriage without any love. They had no love for one another, and in his opinion they did just fine. When his uncle died, his aunt did not shed a single tear, so he thought having a girlfriend was pointless. Zion has had girlfriends before, but he never really liked them. He had simply hooked up with random girls when he wanted or got a girlfriend when he could get something from the relationship, and then broke all ties with them as he pleased. His life worked fine that way, and he had no expectations to change it anytime soon. So the car ride was uneventful for him, and he was still bored when the car reached the college.

The large group of people was normal for him, and nothing seemed put of the ordinary. When he got out of the car, he used his heightened senses to get a quick idea of his surroundings and things people were saying. Things seemed normal when he heard part of a conversation that was different from the other things people were saying. "...just another reason why we should stay away from them. Plus they will obviously be playboys and are now all the girls fantasies..."

Zion looked around trying to locate the voice, earning some shouts from the crowd. He could tell it was a girl's voice, and finally found her as she said, "I have no desire to watch some crappy reality TV show unfold here, I am going back to our dorm. If I'm lucky I will have a chance to sleep a bit before Mr. Preech's class at 8:00, because I am going to be busy all of today and will need the energy. Goodbye" Zion had been watching her and when she glanced towards them for a second, their eyes met. The she turned and walked away.

Keeping his eyes on her retreating back, he whispers to Alo, "Cover for me in the main building and make an excuse about me parking the car or something." He then went back into the car.

Alo smirked and watched as the car and Zion disappeared from the crowd's sight. Zion on the other hand found out where the girl had gone and went there as soon as he had an excuse planned and parked the car. He saw her walking on a quiet path, leading to a building he assumed where the dorms. He went right up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. Startling her and surprising himself, he didn't plan on doing this, but he went with it. While he wasn't big on love, he was definitely good a flirting. After he heard her gasp, he leaned in and whispered in her ear.

"Why did you leave baby girl? The show is only starting, you might just find yourself intrigued. Who knows, you might just be a main character?" He saw her ears were red, and her face was flushed, and he smirked.
