We continued to make merry into night when Lambert run in screaming the joyous atmosphere was immediately broken.
"They're here! they're here!" he kept screaming until my father grabbed him by his shirt and rose him " calm down man. who is here?! out with it then."
Lambert a bit more calm spoke up "the Drakon empire" as he finished those words everyone went into panic. The Drakon empire there was none in the whole continent who hadn't heard about the empire, during the new age, the 'Age of Empires ' twelve Kingdoms rose among the many kingdoms and declared themselves empires waging war against the other kingdoms.
The Drakon Empire was one of the most brutal empires, our Kingdom had managed to avoid them along with three others but I guess all good things come to an end as they have decided to invade our Kingdom and worst of all they decided to start their invasion with our village.
"MEN GATHER YOUR WEAPONS! ALL THE WOMEN AND CHILDREN GET TO SAFTEY!" my father bellowed, everyone immediately went into action I headed to go get a weapon but was stopped by my father " go to your mother and sister " "but I can fight I am a man" I said as I tried to go around him but I was shoved back.
" you want to go fight, you think that's what being a man means? a man doesn't just fight because he can. he fights to protect what's dear to him!" his words struck me I looked around at the men of the village their laid back attitude gone all that remained was their fierceness.
I turned back to my father who handed me a sword " go protect our family. " I nodded and rushed to them.

A bunch of men were donned in pitch black amor with a crimson drakon etched on their breastplates.
Behind these men were five others on horses, four donned similar armor to the mass before them only difference being there mark on their shoulder gaurds.
The fifth member was donned in an entirely different get up. donned in much more streamlined armor and the drakon etched on his breastplate was golden.
The fifth member gave off an impossing auror. These men were all members of the Drakon empire.
A scout appeared in front of the five on horses instantly as though he appeared out of thin air,taking a knee he gave his report "My Lords we have scouted ahead, there are no knights present in the village the men are already alerted to our presence but they pose no threat to us."
The fifth member who had taken the role of leader spoke up " Good, men! gather your weapons tonight we feast! " his words garnering shouts from the men surrounding him.
" Show them the might of the Drakon empire! NO MERCY!" "NO MERCY!!!!"
