(Legendary-Rank Dungeon) Amaya had been walking for awhile already and had not come across any monsters.
Suddenly, a large crowd of footsteps began getting closer and closer.
Her walking came to a stop as she looked closer.
"Monsters?"
['Night Vision' has been activated]
She then realized the footsteps weren't being made by monsters.
They were being made by people.
The group of people then stopped as they noticed Amaya.
One of them shouted.
"It's another monster."
A woman with long silver hair and red eyes stepped forward and drew her sword. The woman had on purple colored body armor and was clearly ready to fight anything that stood in her way.
(Defender's Guild Platinum-Rank Adventurer, Ayumi) As she stared at Amaya, she thought to herself.
"I can't see that great due to our very little lighting but I know that's a monster. The fearsome aura it gives off can't be a human's.
Amaya was clearly confused why the woman was hostile towards her.
She then thought to herself.
"These are adventurers, right? Why are they ready to fight me?"
[Enemy has activated 'Burst']
Ayumi leaped forward and swung her sword at Amaya.
['Fast Tracking' has been activated]
Amaya quickly moved to the side as Ayumi continued swinging the sword.
As the swings kept continuing, Amaya could tell that she was getting tired.
"I've had enough." Amaya thought to herself.
['Rage 2' has activated]
Ayumi swung her sword once more but was surprised as it came to a stop.
Amaya now held the sword in between her two fingers as she spoke.
"I'm an adventurer too. So, why are you attacking."
Ayumi quickly stepped back and held out her hand as she chanted.
"Heaven's light, appear and give us sight."
A ball of light appeared and flew to the top of the dungeon.
As it lit up the cave, Ayumi was now able to see Amaya in full detail and realized her mistake.
"It was a person?!" She thought to herself.
Ayumi suddenly felt herself grow weak and felt somewhat scared as she noticed that Amaya's skin was darkened and that her eyes gleamed purple. Ayumi then began explaining.
"I-I'm sorry. I thought you were a monster because of our bad lighting."
She then put her sword away and bowed to Amaya as she continued.
"Please forgive me."
['Rage 2' has deactivated]
"It's alright, you can stand up." Amaya replied.
Ayumi then stood up and let out a breath of relief.
"So, why have you come to this dungeon alone? It's too dangerous here. We have to retreat."
"What do you mean?" Amaya asked.
"I mean that there are strong monsters here. Our team was under attack in one of the tunnels and a good number of us were killed. Our team's leader held off the monsters as the rest of us escaped. We have to get out of here."
"Which tunnel?" Amaya asked.
Ayumi wore a surprised look on her face. She knew that Amaya planned to go on ahead and help out. She wanted to stop her from going but she remembered the fearsome aura tha Amaya had given off. She knew that she was their last hope for the safety of their team's leader, Seiya.
"It's the third tunnel going from left to right."
Amaya then began walking deeper into the dungeon as she spoke.
"Okay, you guys should get out of here now, stay safe."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Tunnel #3) Seiya's endurance was getting low and he managed to kill the last Rampaging Demon. The only one left was the one that had been standing in the back.
"It's just you and me, tough guy."
Seiya held his sword straight, ready to fight as the monster began walking closer and closer.
['Blade Dance' has been activated]
He ran forward and began swinging his sword left and right.
The creature stood there and was suddenly gone.
"Huh? Where did it g-"
Seiya was struck from behind and went rolling across the ground.
He quickly sprung back to his feet.
There was no sign of the monster. He felt breathing the back of his neck as he quickly turned around and swung his sword.
The creature quickly stepped back, dodging his swing.
"This thing is pretty fast." He thought to himself.
Seiya then shouted as he swung his blade across the air.
"Destructive wind!"
A violent gust of wind shot from his blade and sliced the walls apart. Rocks and dust flew everywhere.
"I think I got him."
He squirted as the dust began to clear. A shocked expression shot onto his face and he realized, the monster stood in the same spot, uninjured.
"What?! He didn't even mov-"
Seiya was then struck in the face. The air shook violently as he flew back and landed against the wall of the tunnel.
(Seiya: Hp: 0/4,789,900)
['Second Chance' had been activated]
He then slowly stood back up.
"Damn creature. You're beyond what I expected. I need to try hard, harder than I ever have before."
['Strengthen' has been activated]
['Penetrate' had been activated]
He then ran at the creature and rapidly and fairly swung his sword.
Second passed and there was no stop to his swings. Him and the creature ran around the tunnel at an amazing speed, clashing.
Left then right, the creature kept dodging each at every attack.
It then reached out to grab Seiya as he moved to the side and swung his sword.
"Destructive wind!"
A violent and destructive shot from the swing of his sword, hitting the creature and further destroying the walls of the tunnel. Debris flew around as Seiya squinted, trying to see the creature.
One hit, then another, he was struck as the dust began clearing.
Seiya quickly stepped back in pain.
(Seiya: Hp: 2,889,900/4,789,900)
"That thing is barely trying and I'm still losing."
The demon began walking closer and closer. Seiya suddenly felt himself grow weak.
"What's happening?"
He then swung his sword once more at the creature as it grabbed the blade and squeezed it.
His sword shattered and his eyes widened and he was struck in the face. Seiya fell to the ground, unconscious.
(Seiya: Hp: 0/4,789,900 Al: 1,484,850/2,394,950)
The creature then walked up to him and lifted it's claws as it got ready to slash away at him.
Suddenly, there was a pair of footsteps coming from somewhere towards the entrance of the tunnel. The monster noticed this and quickly ran off, disappearing out of sight.
Runnin out of the shadows was Amaya.
She noticed Seiya laying on the floor and ran over to him.
Amaya kneeled down and saw that he was still alive.
"Looks like something almost killed you. My mana wouldn't be enough to make him wake up. Should I just carry him?"
Amaya felt a gust of wind coming towards her. She quickly turned and was struck a great number of times. The impact of the strikes sent her rolling across the ground.
(Amaya: Hp: 0/2,981,793 Al: 0/1,490,896)
She laid still as the creature walked over to her.
['Awaken' has activated]
['Second Chance' has activated]
(Amaya: Hp: 5,963,586/5,963,586)
Amaya slowly stood up as the creature took a couple steps back.
['Rage 2' has been activated]
['Fast tracking' has been activated.]
"That wasn't very nice, attacking me out of nowhere like that."
The creature swung it's claws at her but only hit the air as she moved to the side.
"I'm going to end this quick, sorry."
['Attack Amplifier' has been activated]
Amaya then quickly slammed her palm into the middle of its face.
(Elite Rampaging Demon: Hp: 0/10,000,000)
Her strike shook the wind violently as the creature flew apart.
['Rage 2 has deactivated]
Suddenly, a bright ball of light appeared on the floor. The light slowly faded away revealing a small purple book on the floor.
"What's that?"
Amaya walked over to the book and kneeled down.
['Analyze' has been activated]
(Skill Book: Allows you to choose one of the skills from a list. Once you have chosen, the book will disappear.)
"Oh, so it's another one of those?"
She then lifted the book and opened it up.
(You may chooses one of the following skills: Gate, Shockwave, Damage Resistance, Revive, Servant Contract, Share)
Amaya studied the list for a couple seconds then made her decision.
"I'll take Gate."
The book then disappeared and a notification came into view.
[New skill learned 'Gate']
['Analyze' has been activated.
(Gate: Can create a portal to any area you have visited before. Costs: 5,000 Mp)
"That'll come in handy. Also, I can transport that guy to outside of the dungeon, right."
She then walked over to Seiya and picked him up, carrying him on her back.
['Gate' has been activated] A yellow colored portal opened up in front of Amaya.
"Time to go."
She then walked through.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Dungeon Entrance) Ayumi and the surviving adventurers from their group all sat down against trees. She couldn't help but feel guilty about having to leave Seiya behind. Ayumi was sure that he had died and it was all her fault. The more she thought about it, the heavier the weight felt. A tear began to run down her cheek when suddenly, a bright yellow colored portal appeared.
Ayumi quickly jumped to her feet out of surprise. All of the other adventurers were shocked as a girl with white hair came out caring Seiya. The girl was none other than Amaya.
Amaya slowly placed Seiya on the ground as Ayumi ran over.
She was feeling guilty more than ever looking at his motionless body.
"Is he dead?!"
A sweat ran down Amaya's face as she replied.
"What? No, he's okay. He's still alive, don't worry. He just needs to be healed and he'll regain consciousness."
Amaya turned her head and noticed that Ayumi was almost driven to tears as she let out a breath of relief.
Ayumi then replied.
"That's a relief."
Amaya then turned back and began walking back to the portal but stopped as Ayumi questioned her.
"What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to head back in and defeat the boss."
"You're going to do what?! Legendary-bosses are no joke. It would be difficult even for a team of legendary-rankers to defeat one. Legendary dungeons have multiple bosses."Amaya then turned her head to look at Ayumi.
"Then I'll beat all of them. I'll be the hero this world needs."
She then entered back into the portal as she thought to herself.
"Wow, I sounded so cool. Maybe I can be an actual hero."
Ayumi watched in surprise as both Amaya and the portal disappeared.
"What is that girl?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Tunnel #2 Alison's group) Her and her group had reached a pair of two giant doors. She turned and looked at Hakaru.
"We're done with this tunnel, let's head back."
Hakaru then replied.
"Wait, doesn't something feel off to you?"
"What do you mean?" Alison asked.
"Look at the floor next to the door."
Alison turned her head and looked at the ground. There were a pair of giant footsteps. Alison was somewhat spooked by this but kept her cool.
"We probably shouldn't investigate. We were told that once we reached the boss room to head back to the entrance of the dungeon."
Hakaru turned to face the rest of the group.
"Yeah, you're right. Let's go."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Tunnel # 1 Kioshi's group) The three silver rankers that were in the group all laid on the floor, motionless.
The only ones left standing were Ginji, Gaku and Kioshi.
They all sat against the walls of the tunnel with visible injuries.
"What were those things?" Ginji asked.
A couple minutes earlier, they were all attacked by two single monsters. As a result, they lost the three Silver-rankers that were on their team.
Kioshi then replied.
"I don't know. Never heard of any monsters like those. We should head back. Once we all regroup, we'll tell Shinya about the monsters we encountered. After that, he'll probably put us Legendary and platinum-ranker together to clear the rest of this tunnel. Let's head back now."
-------------------------------------------
(Tunnel #4 Shinya's group)
Him and his group's walking came to a stop as they reached a pair of Giant golden doors.
"Looks Like we found the boss room," said Shinya.
Atsuya and the adventurers looked up at the doors, knowing what the color meant. Legendary-ranked dungeons have multiple bosses and mini bosses have one that is stronger than all the rest. Tee names these types of monsters go by are 'Mega Bosses'. When the color of the doors to a boss room is golden, it means one of these types of monsters are behind it.
"Looks like we'll be having to deal with a Mega Boss." Said Atsuya.
Shinya stared at the doors and seemed somewhat upsets as he thought to himself.
"The last Legendary-rank dungeon raid that took place ended up being the final resting place of many adventures….because we came across a boss among bosses, a Mega Boss."
Shinya was feeling a bit unsettled as he could sense the aura of the creature that stood behind the golden doors.
He then turned back to face Atsuya and the rest of the group.
"Let's head back, now."
------------------------------------
(Tunnel #3) After saving Seiya, Amaya went back to the tunnel and began walking further and further In until reaching a pair of doors.
It was the boss the room.
Amaya then put her hand on the door.
"I wonder what kind of boss it'll be."
She took a deep breath, then shoved the doors open as she let it out.
The room was completely dark.
Amaya began walking in as the atmosphere became colder.
Everytime she let out a breath, the fog was visible.
The cold made her skin shiver.
A bright blue light came from the top of the room and lit up the room.
Amaya looked up and saw where the light was coming from. It was a giant crystal that hung from the top. She was now able to see the boss that stood towards the back of the giant room.
It's eyes gleamed light blue and it was around 80 feet tall. It had giant wings on its back and its body had shiny black scales all over. It was a type of monster that was feared by many adventurers around the world, a 'Shadow Dragon'.
"I knew ever since this world that dragons had to exist somewhere. It's cool that I finally get to see one. But just by looking at it, I can see why it's a legendary monster. It's energy is powerful enough to make me a little bit frightened but... I think I can handle this with medium difficulty, hopefully."
(Shadow Dragon: Level: 5,897 Armor: Infinite Hp: 200,000,000 Mp: 5,000,000 Atk: 1,567,000 Speed: 322 Endurance: 455)
She then began slowly walking towards it.
['Fast Tacking' has been activated]
The dragon looked down at her as it opened its mouth.
A giant blazing blue flame shot out towards her as she effortlessly moved away.
"Any normal person wouldn't have been able to dodge that so easily but...I'm not normal."
['Cooldown Reduce' has been used on 'Attack Amplifier']
['Attack Amplifier' has been activated]
At an amazing speed, Amaya jumped to the creature's chest and swung her fist into its chest.
There was a big boom followed by the creature being pushed back.
(Shadow Dragon: Hp: 121,863,200/200,000,000)
Amaya was surprised as she realized that this monster was unlike the other bosses she had come across before.
"I couldn't one shot it?"
The creature was unfazed by her strike and was now angered.
It let out a loud roar and a blast of fire, bigger than the last shot towards her. Amaya didn't have time to react and knew it was gonna hit.
"I can't dodge this! I won't die though."
['Cooldown Reduce' has been used on 'Second Chance']
The blast of fire hit Amaya and instantly burned that half of the room to ash.
(Amaya: Hp: 0/5,963,586)
As the fire cleared, She fell forward on the floor and dust flew everywhere. The creature then seemed to calm down as its enemy was now dead. Amaya's hand began twitching as she slowly stood up.
['Awaken' has activated]
['Second Chance' has activated]
(Amaya: Hp: 11,927,172/11,927,172)
She then thought to herself.
"I was lucky that I still had enough mana to cooldown reduce my second chance. I can't rely on that skill from here on out. I'll have to use my smarts and strength to deal with this thing."
The dragon's eyes began glowing brighter than before as it realized Amaya's revival. It's dark energy and madness shok the air around.
[Enemy has activated 'Double Speed']
['Fast Tracking' has been activated]
The dragon swung it's claws at Amaya as she quickly dodged. Due to her 'Awaken' skill, she was now faster than before close to moving at the speed of light. Amaya and the dragon ran all across the giant room as they attacked each other. Each swing was followed by a blue light.
She swung her fists one after another. The creature was struck 40 times in a single second. The creature's claws struck Amaya's chest and sent her flying across the room towards a wall.
She quickly spun in the air and pushed her feet off of the wall as she got close enough. Amaya pushed off with enough momentum to send her flying directly towards the creature.
['Rage 2' has activated]
At that moment, the creature's health had completely lowered.
She then slammed her fist into its face, knocking it on it's back.
As it fell, dust flew up and Amaya steadily landed.
['Rage 2' has deactivated]
Amaya kneeled down to catch her breath. After a couple seconds, she stood back up while still in disbelief of beating the dragon.
"I...can't believe I actually won. I was sure that there was a 75% chance of me losing. This is my greatest accomplishment so far."
A notification then came up into her view.
[New skill learned 'Medium Mp Regeneration']
Amaya looked at it in confusion.
"Regeneration for mana?"
['Analyze' has been activated]
(Description: Every five seconds 5% of your Mp will be recovered.)
"This will actually help a lot. With this, I can basically become invincible. Everytime I recover 25% of my mana I can cooldown reduce my second chance."
She then took a deep breath and let it out, right before continuing her self conversation.
"It feels like my luck has been good ever since undoing that curse."
She roughly shook her head.
"I guess I better head back out for a break. Gate!"
A yellow colored portal appeared to lit up the surrounding area with its glowing light. Amaya then walked over and stepped inside.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seiay who was now conscious, sat against a tree while talking with Ayumi. After all the stress that had occurred in the dungeon, she seemed somewhat relieved but was still concerned about Amaya's whereabouts after going back in the dungeon.
"You never did tell me how I survived." said Seiya.
Ayumi then sat down next to him as she replied.
"Well, I don't know exactly how you were saved but, I do know who saved you. After retreating, we came across someone in the dungeon. At first I thought it was a monster but, after they had effortlessly blocked my attacks I stepped back and casted a light spell. It was a girl with white hair. The main reason I thought she was a monster was because she had a fearsome aura emitting from her body. I thought that no human was capable of giving off energy that powerful, other than a few select Legendary-rankers. After realizing it was a person, I apologized and told her that we should retreat. But she asked what had happened and I told her about what you did. She didn't listen and chose to head to the tunnel that we had run from. I didn't stop her, more like I couldn't."
Seiay was clearly confused by what she had meant. There were very few who could stand up to a platinum-ranker. So to not be able to stop her must've meant they were stronger or on the same level as one.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
Ayumi let out a sigh.
"Her aura was dark red compared to mine. She had to be at least on the level of one of the top three legendary-rankers."
Seiya was shocked. Mainly because there shouldn't have been any other Legendary-ranker besides Kioshi, Alison, Akemi, Golden Brawler and himself.
He then replied while clearly surprised.
"T-That shouldn't be possible. There are only 5 people that are on that level."
Ayumi looked at the floor, she knew Amaya had to be on that level of power and no lower.
"I'm not too sure about that."
A yellow colored portal then appeared. Walking out of it was a girl with snow white hair, Amaya.
Ayumi stood up in surprise as Seiya stared at Amaya. He knew since the moment she walked out, that she was no ordinary person.
"That's her," said Ayumi.
Amaya then walked over and looked at Seiya.
"Oh, so he's finally up?"
Ayumi then put her hand on Amaya's shoulder.
"Yes, he is. Thanks to you, he's okay."
Amaya wore a clearly flustered face as she replied.
"It was no big deal. I just did what any other adventure would've done."
Ayumi then shook her head then replied.
"No. Not just any other adventurer would've done what you did. As a matter of fact, almost no other adventurer could've done what you did. Also, I have a question."
"W-What is it?" Amaya asked.
Ayumi then seriously looked her in the eyes.
"Did you beat the boss at the end of that tunnel?"
Amaya was confused by what she meant. She had come across two strong monsters in the dungeon, with both being worthy of the title of 'Boss'
"Which one do you mean? The one that almost killed your leader, Seiya or the Shadow Dragon Behind the giant doors. Because...I killed them both. Hehe, sorry. Was I not supposed to do that?"
At that moment, a chill shot down the spines of both Ayumi and Seiya.
There was no way to explain the amount of shock they were experiencing. This was the first time they heard of any single adventurer beating a legendary-rank boss.
Seiya quickly stood up and a sweat ran down his cheek.
"You did what?!...How?"
After a couple seconds of thinking about what to say, Amaya replied.
"W-Well, I just fought them. I mean, It was hard but I still won in the end."
Seiya then began thinking to himself.
"It shouldn't be possible for someone this powerful to exist. I can tell that she's not bluffing. Her aura is dark red compared to mine so….what she says must be true."
A crowd of footsteps began walking out of the dungeon entrance.. It was a group of people being led by a man with short brown spiky hair and dark blue eyes. He wore a wite tuxedo with a long black tie, his name was Shinya.
Next to him stood a man wearing a black tuxedo, his name was Atsuya.
Amaya turned around as they all walked out.
Her and Shinya made eye contact. He was clearly surprised as he realized who she was.
"Amaya?"
