Chapter 24 - Naria Dilica _24

I felt comfortable and their were millions of lights everywhere it felt as if I was floating on air, I felt light and almost weightless and I felt I was slowly moving. I could see things like planets and a trillion glittering stars that seemed to burn bright in the everlasting darkness. Bright burning balls of fire burn right through me yet, I felt no heat as I zoomed past them.

Planets so big in size and I could see the difference in colour seemed to vary as I went on going and there was no light, just a whirlwind of stars to keep me company.

But wait.

Who was I? And what was I? Where was I?

Wandering forever in space...

Back to Present ____

The sky seemed gloomy and dark and the several moons in the sky hid behind the big silvery clouds.

I woke up.

My eyes just shot open and stayed still looking at the ceiling till I felt my mind return to me.

My nerves abruptly reacted as I shot up sitting upright in my bed. I saw my hands shaking, but at least I actually had hands! I touched my face and felt something on my forehead I thought for a second that it could be my diamond.

I immediately got out of bed running to my room mirror but there was nothing there, I patted my forehead, only to receive a smooth surface back instead.

My hair was thick and messy like a bird's nest. I entered the bathroom, but while brushing my teeth I was only thinking about that dream I had, it felt familiar like something I had actually experienced which was weird...

It felt so real and everything I saw was so strange I immediately thought that it would be a good idea to draw it, even though I was not the greatest artist it would be easier to picture it.

I got some paper out of my first drawer, I got my watercolor pens and my pencils and sat at the desk near my bed. I picked the pencil up without hesitation and began to draw what I remembered or rather what I saw. My mind was not telling me anything as if it was blank I was just drawing and drawing...

When I stopped is when I heard Mum call everyone down for food, I looked at the paper it was black and there were tons of different coloured lights, quite like stars. Then I realised that this may be the galaxy, millions of stars floating in an infinite darkness and round planets drawn as messy uneven circles which obviously, reflects my messy drawing skills, were cast around in different corners of the page, like my mind seemed to say, a whirlwind of stars.

After showering and brushing my teeth, I packed my violet hair into a messy bun and ran downstairs tempted by the smell of food.

I saw Lu Jinyu sitting down alone at the round abnormally-curved dining table. His pale soft skin looking immaculately smooth, like as if it was a crime for a single blemish or spot to exist on his face.

I really needed to stop analysing Lu Jinyu's face every time I see him it's a bad habit, as if I unintentionally describe him with detail in my head as if I'm reading a novel.

I sat down at the table accordingly with him, just at the opposite side, and waited as mum came and put some Eggs and a nice, plumpy, juicy set of sausages down on my plate.

I avoided making eye contact with him, just thinking about it. I also tried avoiding that too.

Thinking about what he said yesterday. That my brother isn't really my brother then mum ... Then mum was never really my mum... and dad. It made me sick to the pit of my stomach not enough to make me lose my appetite, my hunger seemed to overwhelm my emotion as I ate aggressively.

"Jeez, Irene are you some Xyliger( an Exylian Tiger) why are you eating like that, your going to scare people".

Julian teased while walking down the stairs. Mum looked at me expecting a comeback as me and Julian always bickered and teased eachother nonstop, but both of them were surprised at my silent response.

I just continued eating my food as I was before but less aggressively.

In a dark room hollow and wide where there in high chairs sat people, simple Exylians who acted like Gods judging everyone and watching everyone...

"Naria Dilica. You have been arrested for sharing strictly prohibited confidential information to your pupils."

Spoke a thin tall women in the corner of the room, so tall that the shadows covered her face you could only see her orange coloured lips which lay in a firm straight line.

"Sharing... Confidential information well you know it was going to happen one way or the other. You can't cover everything up, you can't hide the truth... just because your AFRAID OF HER-"

Miss Dilica screeched her voice shaking with anger.

"SILENCE!" A man with a rather large silhouette far above where Miss Dilica was sat. On his high chair with a boastful voice, which sounded rather pretentious.

"People like you, worthless dirty foxes who do nothing but betray the one who gave them food to eat and a place to live your lucky to be aliv-".

Naria rudely interrupted with a smug smile.

"Well I am sure damn lucky to be alive aren't I! But I'm not sure you won't be for long when she awakens her-".

The other man also sitting on a high chair but with refined class, with a thin and sharp looking silhouette cut her off with an icy, sharp coldness in his voice.

"You are nothing but a person who was granted with a task and at that you did well... but that was your purpose you have broken the rules several times but we allowed it. But Naria Dilica you should know not to test our patience, because though we cannot kill the girl, we could kill you at the snap of our fingers along with your beloved students."

Naria was struck with panic at the mention of her students, with rising anxiety.

"W-why would you get those students involved their...their INNOCENT! I'd prefer you kill me as I am solely to blame.."

The guy laughed softly before speaking,

"Because that would be no fun.

They are also witnesses and heard and saw what you stupidly showed them, because of you they are going. to. die.

We are going to find the girl from the prophesy, your going to lead her straight to us..."

Fear struck Naria like lightning as the guilt hung in her heart as she prayed that God would hear her, save those students. They did nothing wrong to deserve to die at such a young age. That they didn't find Irene, not yet it was too early, they couldn't.

As she silently prayed to God that HE would protect them.

The one that came from another planet.

Lu Jinyu.

As he was the only one who could do so.
