Ever since Demiurge was born, and has created all of existence, the darkness was disturbed, which had existed for eternity. There was never a time the darkness never existed, and never will there be a time it ceases to exist, as darkness is endless. To put an end to the light that attempts to send it away, it takes the form of multiple entities, corrupting the descendants of
Demiurge, and turning his creations against him. The strongest of corrupt entities of malevolence, which were once divine beings, are called The Fallen. Now, the warriors of light and the darkness fight a seemingly endless battle.
The world Jay spawns in is called Residuum: A shattered earth composed of floating islands the size of continents to the size of houses, which are bound by a strong ancient magic. The broken planet is inhabited by medieval-aged civilizations.
Ch. 6 β Y'vette is a huge kingdom, one of the biggest in the cracked world we call Residuum. For its size and prosperity, it's one of the most well known kingdoms in the world. It's also the capital of Benamore, which is a mighty empire.
Y'vette's queen and empress of Benamore is a goddess named Irene. Gods and goddesses are extremely powerful, and because of it are the most revered amongst angels and humans.
Ch. 28 β Zeal was an angel with a rare divine light, which was capable of extinguishing malevolence entirely. Because of this, he was able to purify demons into humans, and the Fallen into angels, and with that he made it his mission to purify all malevolence from the world, Zuna. Befriending other angels and humans, Zeal had then forged a league of heroes he called the 'Stars of Aegis.'
However, a dark angel had arrived from another world with power and malevolence he had never seen before, bringing about the war of Zuna, which determined the fate of the entire world. But he and the Stars of Aegis had all fallen, sacrificing themselves to protect and recover all citizens of the planet, and after that, they were never to be seen again.
