Jason's POV:
"I think we need to do another raid tonight," I told Primrose, looking at the map my brothers had pins on. "Tell the others, we'll go tonight." She nodded and pulled out her phone.
"Are we leaving anyone with the prisoners?" She asked as she began to text our siblings and our men.
"No, I think I can trust my mate," I told her calmly.
"Even with his sister down in the basement?" She asked and raised an eyebrow. "He'd bust her out."
"Then we'll make Emily stay and babysit if you're so worried and we'll take Dmitri with us."
"What if he sabotaged us?" She asked me and smirked. "I'll inform Emily that she's staying behind to watch over his sister.... If he tries anything funny, I'll bring a tranq gun with us and shoot him with it... maybe a tase gun too. His type of vampire can't handle being tased too well."
"You can just bring the tase gun. That'll be enough to keep him down." I gave a playful smirk then looked towards my piled up desk. "I'm going to be up early clearing that..." I muttered.
"Yeah, have fun," she purred to me. "And done. They're all messaged and will meet us down at the cars in an hour. I think I'll go dig around our toys and see what I've got for tonight.... Make sure Dmitri is ready to go, and warn him that I will tase him for fun if he gives me a sign that he's going to rebel." I smirked and started back for the bedrooms, going into the one next to mine where he was staying at.
"Dmitri, we're leaving in an hour. Get ready," I ordered firmly. He looked towards me from where he was laying on the bed with a book and frowned.
"Where are we going?" He asked and then rolled over onto his stomach. "I doubt this is a date."
"We're going to raid another resistance camp. You're coming along so I can keep a good eye on you. Emily- my youngest sister is going to stay here and watch your sister. If you try anything to sabotage us then Primrose is going to do the honors in teaching you what mental patients experienced back in the day." I smirked. He watched me calmly for a few seconds then looked back towards his book, turning the page.
"Okay," he said simply, not moving.
"You've got to be ready in an hour," I hissed then turned on my heels and marched into my bedroom. I went to my closet and changed out into something I could easily move in then went into my weapons room and started to strap some onto me. My weapons room was hidden behind my closet, easy to access by sliding a picture to the left. I placed a spray bottle on me that was customer for spraying Dmitri. Once my weapons were strapped to me, I closed my weapons room and started back for Dmitri. He was hanging upside down on his bed, reading the book. It didn't look like he had bothered to get dressed while I was gone, but there was a glass of water on his nightstand, so he had gotten up at least. "Ready?" I asked.
"Staying... not interested in going to a fight... much less getting shocked by your sister. She'd do it within seconds of me being in the car... and it'd also betray my comrades if I went," he told me then closed his book before he sat up and looked at me.
"You're on our side now. So come on," I snapped at him. "You're mated into the good side."
"You're mated into the resistance," he purred at me and smirked before he got to his feet and grabbed his glass of water, taking a sip. "Not to mention, mated into Russia. That's fun." I pulled out one of my shot guns and shot the glass, breaking it and I watched the water splash everywhere.
"Get your ass over here." He frowned, looking towards the spilled water then waved his hands. The water slowly started to form into a ball in the air and he sighed, looking it over.
"At least I managed to keep it clean," he mumbled and started to sip on the water. I shot his hand then and reloaded. He shrieked and jumped back, holding his hand to his chest as he looked towards it then glared me down as his hand started to heal. He growled at me and exposed his fangs as the water started towards me fast. I frowned and dodged the water, shooting him in the leg. He yelped and fell over onto his face then groaned. The water spilled on my shoe as it fell to the floor and splattered everywhere, no longer able to keep it's ball shape as he laid on the floor in pain. I walked up to him and pulled the bullet out of his leg then tossed it to the side and grabbed his hand. I started to drag him out of the room and down the hall. He whimpered and looked up towards me in pain then looked away, squeezing his eyes shut. I dragged him down several flights of stairs before finally reaching the front doors. "I hope you're happy," he hissed under his breath when I finally stopped. He glared up at me, looking pissed with me. "You better be praying that I'll still let you in my room when this is over."
"I don't care," I told him firmly. "You're still sick, thinking you're apart of the resistance after meeting me." He narrowed his eyes and exposed his fangs at me.
"We slept together and you SHOT me!" He yelled at me then jerked his hand away from me. "You're evil too, so don't try telling me that you're on the side of good. You shot your mate. That's worse than when I told you I hated you. I would've never shot you."
"No, I'm on the side of the hunter. Now get your sorry ass up and either repent to your foul ways of the past or I'll lock you away in a hole for all of eternity." He narrowed his eyes at me and then snarled.
"Fucking touch me, and I'll bite you," he hissed at me. "You shot me, you bastard." He got to his feet then stormed past me, pissed looking. "Don't come crying to me when you need me. Even hunters don't hurt their mates. Cats have more respect than you do. Even the resistance does."
"Whatever," I hissed and kicked his butt out the door and down the stairs. He laid there at the foot of the stairs and then sat up, glaring me down.
"We're not sleeping together. Not for a long time," he told me, narrowing his eyes before he got to his feet. He clenched his fists and started to walk away from me, going towards some of my men. I smirked and stuffed my hands into my pockets after slipping the shotgun back into place.
"See men, it's okay to put your mate in his place." I smirked as I walked down the stairs calmly.
"I hate you," he hissed under his breath, glaring me down and then turned away from me, crossing his arms.
"So do many others," I purred and stepped off the last step. "So get in line." He tensed up then started to walk away, going to the edge of the group where he leaned against a car and stared off at the woods with an angry look on his face. Primrose laughed and walked up to me, holding up a collar.
"I found something better for him," she told me and slipped it into my hands. "I thought a shock collar would do the job better than a taser. The collar has better range and we wouldn't have to worry about accuracy, just pressing a button... and this one doesn't allow the collar to come off till it's been deactivated. I have multiple remotes for it too if you want one." I purred and walked up to Dmitri with it and slipped it around him. He tensed up and looked towards it then yelped, shoving me back before I could fasten it on him. He pulled it off and then looked it over with a frown then at me before he narrowed his eyes and tossed it aside. His fangs sharpened and he glared me down as he started for me quickly, rage in his eyes. I frowned and pulled out a small spray bottle of alcohol and squirted him with it. He paused and looked at it then at me.
"What the hell are you doing?" He asked me.
"Bad kitty," I hissed.
"Why the hell are you spraying me with alcohol?" He hissed back.
"Because you're attacking me."
"Why the hell alcohol?!"
"I thought it would be funny to replace water with alcohol." I squirted him again.
"It's because I'm Russian, isn't it? So you're a hunter, AND you're racist!" He glared me down and crossed his arms.
"Nope, not really.... I should have put holy water in this."
"I'm changing the locks on the door," he hissed at me then started to walk away. I squirted him one more time before I grabbed the collar and went after him with it.
"Here kitty kitty kitty, put this on or get squirted." He paused and then turned around, walking up to me then snatched the squirt bottle and opened it, starting to drink from it as he walked away. I frowned and threw the collar at him. "Bastardo." He sighed and looked at the collar then at me before he picked it up.
"You. Owe. Me," he hissed.
"Good kitten," I smirked and watched him.
"So we're raiding a bar tonight," Zachary told us as he walked up. "It's closer by then the others. It's actually in town." Primrose walked up with him and then smirked.
"Perfect, a bar sounds fun," she purred as Dmitri looked the collar over and then sighed in regret as he slipped the collar on and fastened it himself and started to down what was in the squirt bottle.
"You better get me another one," he hissed under his breath, setting down the empty bottle on a car.
"You're going to a bar tonight, so you can drink all the alcohol there while the big boys take care of raiding it." Zachary told him.
"I hate you all," he hissed under his breath and then sat down on the trunk of one of the cars.
"Let's get in and go." I grabbed Dmitri's arm and shoved him into one of the cars and slid in with him. He groaned and then slid over to the car door, looking out the window as my sister got in beside me and put a watch looking device on my wrist that had a screen that pulled up a button on it that linked up to Dmitri's collar. She smirked at me and then put one on her wrist before she shut the door and looked out the window, humming My Fair Lady under her breath. I heard my brother Zachary barking orders outside before the car started to go to our destination.
I pulled Dmitri out of the car as we arrived at a building with a huge sign out front, 'Travis's Tavern' was written on it. I looked towards Primrose and smirked. "So, this is our fun raid tonight? It's got a cozy name for such a disastrous resistance inside. You and Zach can take the back. Xzander, Dmitri, and I will take the front and my men can take the sides. Keep contact with me at all times." I purred and put on an ear piece. Primrose nodded and put hers in before she started to lead Zach around the back. Xzander quietly put his in and pulled out a gun, walking towards the doors to wait on me. Dmitri frowned and then looked at me.
"I want to wait at the car," he told me simply.
"Keep your butt next to me," I hissed sternly at him. "I'm not letting you out of my sight." I grabbed him by the ear and pulled him with me towards the front entrance. He yelped and let out a small whimper of pain as he followed me weakly, not really able to put up a fight with me. I smiled towards Xzander as I caught up with him and let Dmitri go. "Do you have any advice on how to deal with him?" I asked and jabbed my thumb in my mate's direction. Xzander looked Dmitri over then looked at me.
"I could give you multiple ways to deal with him. What kind are you looking for?" He asked and smirked at me. "Want one that would work right now or work in the long run?"
"Right now?" I asked.
"You could either shock him, kiss and shut him up, put him in the car and trust him, or give him a gun and really trust him," he told me and smirked. "Or you could ignore him and let that hatred fester in him for you." I frowned and gave Dmitri a gun off of me and a knife.
"There, now shut up cry baby," I teased. Dmitri looked towards the gun and the knife with a frown then looked at us.
"You've got to be kidding me," he whispered and then bit his bottom lip before he sighed, looking conflicted as he looked the gun over.
"Come on Dmitri. Cut loose," Xzander encouraged, patting him on the back. "Think about it this way. You're a gun for fire and we're paying you with my brother over there. Yeah, he's not much of a prize, but he'll do. Don't feel guilt about turning on them. You have a good reason, and you weren't really like them anyways or else you would've shot us within seconds of that gun being in your hands... and you would've never let yourself be taken alive. You would've tried to kill us countless times by now, so you're not one of them."
"He's got a point," I purred then walked up to the bouncers standing in front of the door and shot both of them down then kicked the doors in and looked around, starting to shoot into it to give anyone inside a fright.
"Now, I'm going to teach you how to- Well damn," Xzander said and whistled as Dmitri shot someone inside the bar easily, getting them right in the heart. "You can shoot."
"Well he is my mate, he better know how to point and shoot," I teased before starting to shoot the alcohol as I walked into the bar, watching as people scrambled to get the hell out. Xzander walked in after me, walking in with Dmitri as my mate glanced around and then started to walk off without us, heading for the back like he knew the place. He probably did... I watched him then laughed as the other half of my troops came storming in, I heard the resistance start to scream, surprised. I smirked as I caught the bartender ducking down behind the bar. Dmitri noticed him and smirked, starting for him.
"Travis, you still owe me," he hissed and walked up to the bar. "You cheated me out of that deal, you pig. The girls were easily worth more than you gave me at the time to avoid them going onto the market, and the compensation for me letting you have first dibs on them before anyone else saw them never arrived," he hissed, yanking the bartender back up. "What the hell man? We had a deal that you were going to supply my outpost and pay me a sum for them too!"
"Dmitri?!" The bartender asked and looked frightened. "Look man, I was going to finish of the deal, promise. I've just had my hands full here. That's a shiny gun you've got there, how about you put it down and we talk this out like gentleman? I'll double the deal, don't kill me!" Dmitri smirked at him.
"Gentlemen? Gentlemen don't go to black markets," he purred at him. "Tell you what... triple it... and I'll give you a head start before I come for you."
"Triple it? I've only got the night time to work, that'd put me into the day trying to get that deal for you. I tell you what, we'll make a new deal! I just got a hot new number," he gave me a nervous look. Dmitri frowned at him.
"No, if we're making a new deal, I'm making the terms. It was my outpost that sold you the girls," he hissed. "Now, I'll let you live and get you out of debt with me if, and only if, you surrender this bar and turn yourself in to that guy over there," he told him then pointed towards me. "I'll forget the debt with the girls then... oh, and all the alcohol here is mine and the money in the register for your life."
"For my life? Pshhhh, you can't have my alcohol. You know it turns you into a lunatic." Dmitri narrowed his eyes.
"It was in the original deal, Travis," he snarled at him. "You were supposed to SUPPLY my outpost!"
"I smell you've been drinking again," Travis said nervously. "I tell you what, how about this deal! I can give you some sweet information I dug up from my customers." Dmitri paused and raised an eyebrow at Travis then sat him down at the bar, sitting beside him.
"What kind of info?" He asked curiously.
"I heard from a little bird that there is a new resistance post hitting up some big bucks," Travis told him and started to fix a glass of tequila. "But you've got to know a guy who knows a guy and so forth to know where it really is. Guess what? I know a guy." Dmitri smirked and looked Travis over before he purred.
"Alright... I like this deal. Here's the conditions to pay off your debt to me.... You're going to be my little informant, and you have to give me free drinks when I come," he purred to Travis. "We'll sweep the whole thing under the rug and I'll talk to that guy over there about leaving the bar intact so you can continue to run with a few new conditions."
"That's what I thought," Travis smirked. "You've got to go to the old bridge in the south, there is a place near it that'll peak your interest. I heard they've been trading dragons and unicorns."
"Those slimy bastards! I was going to start doing that!" Dmitri hissed. "I called that! Did the leader authorize their outpost to do it, or did they start it on their own?!"
"No one knows the leader there, but the out post is swarming with all kinds of magical beings. I heard there are a few wizards sweeping by." Dmitri nodded and frowned.
"So... has the leader accepted their outpost officially, or have you not heard about that? I know that my outpost was appointed... so I already had permission to start it before I did it," he murmured.
"Nope, this is swiping right up under the leader's nose." Travis looked past him towards me. "It's double the trouble. Worse than the resistance. The leader hasn't even confirmed alliances with the leader of the resistance. Of course people are starting to say the leader there is just a myth. Not even there. It's just a rumor to give some power to low class supernatural or something like that." Dmitri frowned.
"So... they aren't even apart of the organized resistance yet? That's kind of weak... but they're selling dragons and unicorns? The leader will find out soon about that outpost," he whispered towards Travis then frowned. "He might not be too happy about it either. There's so much going on that he doesn't need people starting things without him, especially something so high profile as those kinds of creatures without his permission."
"Well if you're going to go visit, bring a heavier gun." Travis warned. "The place is loaded with guards. Big eggs equals bigger ducks. You're going to have to go in undercover." Dmitri's eyes lit up in excitement at that and he slowly smirked.
"Uh huh... I can do that," he purred and then looked Travis over. "So when are you getting me that drink I wanted?"
"It's right under your bloody nose," Travis said and smirked as he poured a bottle of rum into a cup then punched Dmitri in the nose. Dmitri yelped and then looked towards the rum then at Travis before he exposed his fangs and dropped the gun, attacking Travis into the floor before he bit him in the neck. I growled under my breath, getting pissed.
"Dmitri, what did I tell you about your fangs and flesh?" I asked and shot him in the shoulder. Dmitri yelped and quickly was off Travis, looking pained as he shakily touched his shoulder and then gritted his teeth as he began to pull the bullet out. He tossed it aside when he was done and then looked at me in anger before he got to his feet and sat down in his bar stool.
"Don't punch me again, Travis," he warned him, snarling at the bartender as he picked his gun up and then started to drink his rum. "You might make my finger slip on this trigger."
"Travis," I asked for him quickly. "Who was your little informant?" I walked up to the bar and looked towards Dmitri with a stern look.
"My cousin," Travis shrugged.
"Was it Trent?" Dmitri asked curiously, looking at Travis. "He seems like a snitch. I never liked him."
"No, it wasn't Trent. You've never met this lunatic."
"Oooh, a lunatic for a cousin?" Dmitri smirked at him. "Maybe we're distantly related Travis? After all, lunacy runs in the family."
"No, I don't have idiot in my blood," Travis smirked. "How about you run off now and take a hike."
"Hell no," he purred. "I'm not going anywhere. You like me here, don't you? After all, if it wasn't for me, you might be dead by now. Who knows? They might've shot you before they asked questions."
"Watcha doing with their type anyways?" Travis asked. "They smell like hunters but their clearly vampire." Travis scanned me over with disgust.
"Because they are," Dmitri said simply, looking at his rum. "They raided my outpost and took me hostage after shocking almost all my brains out. I was almost fried to death. Then I was tortured.... Then I almost escaped but discovered fate had other plans for me and mated me to that guy right there. I'm stuck in a dilemma of my beliefs and being shot every time my mate is angry and being abused by him. So~ Here I am with a shock collar on and a bullet wound in my shoulder, and this isn't the first time I was shot today either. Plus they have my sister under lock and key because she got herself caught," he told him then took a sip of his rum. "My life is very rough right now, so if you got a way out of it, let me know because my mate thinks he can shove me around and whatnot."
"Well you've got a gun right there," Travis told him calmly. "If you really wanted out, shoot their brains out in their sleep. It'll be doing us all a favor. You can always get a new mate.... or you can always play dominate for once and treat him like he tru-"
"You're working your way into an early grave," Zachary warned as he walked up.
"I already slept with him and dominated it," Dmitri muttered under his breath to Travis. "I'm running out of options besides just telling him I hate him and glaring him down and whatnot. I just got this gun five minutes ago." I frowned and smacked him on his shoulder wound.
"How about we sleep together tonight?" I asked. "With you hanging upside down by your toes." Dmitri glared at me.
"I'm not sleeping with you," he told me firmly.
"You will be if you keep up asking for ways to escape." I teased him and exposed my fangs.
"I'm still not sleeping with you. I might actually want to stay if you weren't such an ass," he hissed softly at me then looked back at his drink.
"If you truly wanted to leave then you would have," I told him. "In the woods. You care though for me and you'll soon understand the ways of the law. So will your little resistance buddies."
"You're still an ass," he pointed out to me and then took a sip of his drink. "I don't think the law has anything to do with you kicking me and shooting me and whatnot. I think the law actually would frown upon mate abuse like that."
"I'm only abusing you to show how much I care. Besides, you heal up and I'm a hunter- not a vampire. Your pity laws I made for you guys doesn't apply to me in the long run. That's why I kill any little spec that tries to defy the law. I'm top dog, remember?" Dmitri looked at Travis then pointed to a bottle on the shelves.
"Can I have that?" He asked Travis calmly.
"I'll give you some vodka for the road," Travis whispered.
"Good, and gimme that for right now," Dmitri said and then reached for it, taking it before he opened it then looked at me before he spilled it on me and then took a sip of it. I frowned and smacked his shoulder. What a dick. I looked towards Zachary.
"You're staying here with Travis and a few others to keep an eye on him. I'll call when you can leave. I'm heading over to that bridge tonight with everyone else. Let's go." He nodded and sat down at the bar as he pulled out his phone to order a few troops to stay behind with him. Primrose walked up and purred towards us with a smirk.
"So bridge? Cool, we better hurry if we want to beat the sun and have enough time to thoroughly investigate and then go home and write reports," she purred then snatched Xzander's arm, dragging him along with her towards the door. Dmitri groaned and held his shoulder as he sat the bottle down and picked up the gun with his other hand and began to head towards the door before I could grab him. I smirked and followed after them.
"Travis, I hope you know how to make a mean margarita, If I have to babysit you then we're going to drink." Zachary told him. I left the bar and started for the car, ducking my head into the front seat to tell the driver where to go before getting into the back. Dmitri looked over at me as I got in the back seat then frowned and sunk down in his seat next to Primrose. She smirked at him then looked his shoulder over.
"Got shot huh? Lucky I wasn't there Dmitri," she told him then looked out the window. "You'd have been writhing on the floor. Jason is so much nicer than me."
"Well I'm just trying to teach him his place, not kill him." I muttered.
"It's not killing unless you leave the shock button on," she said and then smirked at me. Dmitri glared at her then moved away from her a little, hissing.
"You're not shocking me," he told her firmly. She laughed at him and watched him with amusement as he fell back into me.
"Okay you two, no play fighting while the car is in motion." I raised my finger and pointed towards my sister. She laughed and then leaned over my mate to me, kissing my cheek.
"Alright," she purred to me then gave Dmitri a playfully predatory look then looked out the window, crossing her legs. Dmitri shivered and then sat up a little, leaning against me slightly as he stared my sister down then looked away from her nervously as he rubbed his neck by the collar.
"We'll go in slow, just observe the place. If it's what it is and high on protection then we'll have to send some undercover people inside to map it out for us and we'll attack it tomorrow night. If it's easy to get into then we'll raid it. Stay in contact with me, you're taking the team around one way with Xzander while I take a team in the other way. We'll circle around and decide from what we can see." Primrose nodded and sighed softly, pulling out her phone.
"That sounds good to me," she purred and then put on headphones, starting to listen to music as she looked out the window. Dmitri relaxed slightly as he watched her then looked at me then frowned before he looked away.
"If it's too heavy, I can go investigate inside for you," he volunteered quietly, looking down at the floor. "They'd be more willing for a outpost leader to be let in than a complete stranger to them."
"Okay, you can investigate inside for us. We'll have to take that collar off so you don't look so suspicious." I leaned over and yanked it off of him. He yelped and then rubbed his neck, looking at me with a frown.
"Did you have to yank it off?" He asked me and then sighed. "You're so cruel."
"You're such a cry baby, grow up." I smirked and exposed my fangs.
"Bastard," he snapped at me and exposed his. I growled at him playfully. He hissed at me and then looked me over. "You're not going to get me to love you if you keep being an ass," he snarled at me.
"I don't expect you to love me, just stay with me and please me." I rubbed his head and messed up his hair. He narrowed his eyes at me.
"I'm not a toy either for your damn enjoyment," he told me then smacked my hand away.
"Yes you are," I purred. "You're my mate. Mine."
"No, I'm mine," he told me firmly. "You don't get to rule my life just because fate said we're supposed to be together. You told me not to mock fate, and you better not either because I know damn well she didn't put you with me for you to make me a toy for your pleasure. If we're going to be together, it will be a relationship where you respect me too."
"Well I would respect you if you would repent to your past life and start following the law." I leaned in and kissed his cheek. He growled at me and pulled away before he narrowed his eyes at me.
"Maybe I might repent if you could convince me that it was so wrong to hunt, but seeing as you hunt too, I don't think you could tell me that my instincts to hunt are wrong," he hissed. I frowned.
"I'm hunting to destroy your kind that is taking our food off the streets easily and causing them to go extract because your stomach growled and you don't know how to ask kindly. You only know how to kill." He narrowed his eyes at me.
"Still, if it was extinction you were worried about, you could've put restrictions on hunting," he hissed. "Not ban it completely. If you're going to destroy my race, you might as well kill me too."
"If you simply ask for blood we wouldn't be in this little war," I grumbled. "There are other ways to get blood besides killing."
"You can't ask for blood from a race that doesn't know you exist," he pointed out to me. "Besides, even if they did, most of them wouldn't feed us. If I asked for blood from you, I bet you'd tell me no, but then again, you like being an ass."
"If you're starving I'd give you a bottle of blood," I purred.
"I don't like bottled blood as much as I like biting," he muttered then looked away from me. "You just hate vampires anyways."
"You're right," I smirked and looked out the window. "Just obey the law is all I ask."
"No way, the laws are wrong," he hissed softly under his breath. "I don't believe in the council. They don't represent every vampire out there. It's only nobles...."
"That's why you're scum," I hissed. "You believe it'll only work for nobles. You probably haven't tried." He narrowed his eyes and looked at me then exposed his fangs.
"You're worse than scum. You became the very thing you hate in order to kill."
"Thank you," I purred. "I find my position of power in your eyes quite meaningful. If I was human no one would listen to me."
"I'd have turned you if I found you as a human," he muttered and then growled at me. He crawled into my lap and then leaned in towards my neck. "Too bad. It would've been fun," he mumbled, his voice softening as the anger faded from him. I could've sworn I heard a small purr escape from him as he neared my neck, but he stopped and laid his head on my shoulder, his breath hitting my skin. "You're going to love me eventually."
"And you're still going to hate me?" I asked and smirked. "You're not who I thought you'd be for a resistance post leader."
"Well, not all of us are complete jerks that want to enslave everybody. I'm only with the resistance because I like the thrill of hunting.... I'm not into torturing the poor weres though I did sell them when they came my way... and I was interested in the money... and I liked seeing the rare creatures coming my way to be sold... and I liked the power... and the leader of the resistance wasn't too bad either, maybe a little insane... and I would like it if the council included at least five elected vampires by the normal vampires on the streets. It would help with representation," he mumbled. "I'm not an extremist when it comes to the resistance, but I can't be good either. I'm in the grey area to be honest."
"Electives?" I asked. "You think if we added commoners onto the council that would be elected by the low class, that would fix things?" I shoved him out of my lap. He growled at me and glared at me.
"It would certainly make the hatred in the resistance to the council die down," he hissed at me. "Why the hell do I even bother with you? You're too wrapped up in your own little world to think about maybe why the resistance doesn't obey the laws." He narrowed his eyes at me and then crawled into the front seat to get away from me, glaring out the window. "Whatever," he muttered. "Just stay away from me."
"Impossible," I muttered and bit my bottom lip hard. I could kill him and move on easily. He sighed softly in the front seat and then looked out the window, calming down as he sat by himself. He smiled a little after a few minutes and then leaned his head against the window, tracing his fingers over it with interest. I opened the door as the car stopped then moved out of the car, looking around as we was parked right before we reached the bridge. Dmitri got out and then gasped, running up to the bridge and looked over the edge towards the water below then smiled huge.
"Water~" He purred and then held out a hand, watching as some of it started to come up towards him then had it turn into a cloud like mist before the water began to crystalize and he had a small snow cloud near him as he watched it in happiness, his eyes lighting up with joy. Primrose got out of the car and put her headphones up as she walked up to me and then wrapped me into a hug.
"I could always shoot him for you if you can't handle him," she whispered in my ear. "He might've warmed up to you a little more if you hadn't shoved him, but I know he needs to learn not to sass you. You might like him better if he was more childlike and innocent so you could teach him biting is wrong easier, kind of make him a blank slate. It's better than fighting or killing him. You could learn to love someone other than your siblings... not that I mind, but just saying."
"He's got a week left and then we're shooting his brains out," I muttered and grabbed her wrist. "I don't want to shoot him now though. He's still got a chance even though he is slimming it by every word his spits out at me." She nodded and then kissed my cheek.
"I could talk to him if you want... or make Xzander talk to him," she suggested and smiled. "Xzander might be the better choice though. I'm too much of a bitch, but maybe he might need that if Xzander doesn't work."
"He doesn't need others to talk to him. He knows he is in the wrong."
"Still... he might need a nudge... unless you'd prefer for him to either pick up on keeping his mouth shut or just waiting a week to shoot him," she purred to me then winked. "He'll be a lot more fun if we were to shoot him... but let's go ahead and get all the info we can from him before he loses it all to a bullet. I doubt he'll be able to meet your standards before a week is up. That's a drastic change in personality to happen in a week. I can get what I can out of him three days before we shoot him," she told me and smirked. "After that, he'll be so innocent and cute and loving and we'll have the info we originally wanted from him. He did say something about the leader in that car. He probably knows who it is."
"I don't want to end up with a major innocent mate though. That's like getting a newborn." I rolled my eyes. "He'll change even if I have to take him to a vampire that'll compel him to change." She sighed and then nodded.
"Alright, if that's what you want," she told me then kissed my cheek. She glanced towards Dmitri as he held his hand out, watching as snow collected in his hands. "He's your mate. I would've shot him by now if he was mine... or forced him to love me. He's difficult.... His sister isn't though, and she's rather cute," she told me and smirked. "I'm thinking about letting her upstairs with me when you fix your mate relationship problems."
"No, she stays in the basement," I told her sharply then looked around and walked out to the bridge and grabbed Dmitri's arm. Dmitri yelped and then relaxed, looking towards me as the snow fell around us. He smiled and then looked me over before he dropped the snow in his hand and watched as a snowflake landed in his hand then looked towards the snow on the ground and had it melt before he had some of it in his hand with the flake and had it freeze around it, making a small circular flat ice disk in his hand with an encased snowflake in it. He placed it in my hand and smiled.
"Here, it won't melt," he purred to me. "You can make that into a necklace if you want or keep it around your room or something." I placed it in my pocket then gave him a smile.
"You truly are something," I muttered. I looked across the bridge, where it entered into a ghost like town. "Looks like that's our place, somewhere in there is our location. How about you go in there and snoop around. We're going to take the sides." I slipped an ear piece into his ear. "Use this to stay in touch with me." I looked around us and spotted a tree house hidden next to the river. There was a sleeping wolf at the base of the tree. He glanced towards the wolf then at me before he kissed my cheek.
"Here, I better not take this with me. I'll keep the knife though," he whispered to me then gave me the gun back. He purred and then lingered by my face before he stole a kiss from my lips. "I'm glad you are choosing to trust me with this," he purred to me and then rubbed my cheek before he pulled away. "Be careful."
"Well if you betray me, I'll kill you." I smirked towards him. "You better be careful not to give anything away."
"I won't," he told me and gave me a smile. "I wouldn't betray my mate like that...." He rubbed my chin with his thumb and purred to me. "You're right that I care, even if we disagree." He smirked a little then stole another kiss before he started to walk off. "See you later."
