Xzander's POV:
He's a lot of work.... I smirked and looked him over, glancing his body over. That tattered shirt still looks good on him even in that state... but he looks better with it off.... "Then let's play nice," I purred to him and then gestured for him to come back. That witch will strip him of his powers and I'll be able to torture him afterwards. I can afford to play nice with him for now.... After all, I might just turn him once he's broken. He looked me over and stepped into a corner and sat down in it.
"What do you want to know?" He asked.
"Mmm... I want to know why you became apart of the resistance," I told him then looked towards Dmitri, snapping my fingers and pointed towards the door. He tensed up and walked out, frowning a little and shut the door behind him.
"Like most people want, to gain power." He crossed his legs as he watched me. "Plus my family thought it would be within my best interest to start trading amongst your kind, vampires."
"Your family?" I asked and got to my feet. "Who is your family?" I walked over to him and stood in front of him. He brought his knees to his chest.
"I was adopted by a tribe of trolls," he mumbled. I frowned a little then.
"Adopted?" He wasn't raised by humans then.... He's been in the supernatural world this entire time, never knowing the security of a human home. I leaned down and then touched his cheek, examining him. "Still, it was wrong to get into the black market kind of trading," I told him firmly. "You're in trouble because of this."
"I'm not exactly a vampire though. I'm a step just outside of your boundary of authority. You only can rule over vampires," he tsked and smacked my hand away. I frowned. He's got a point.
"How do you have powers?" I asked him, changing the subject.
"I learned a few things while in the trading business," he told me. "If I told you my secrets then you'd take them away from me." I raised an eyebrow at him and then crossed my arms.
"Smart. I would take them away," I told him then looked him over. "Look, if you cooperate, I might be able to talk Jason into a lesser punishment for you... maybe a turning will be all that happens to you."
"A turning?" He eyed me over. "If your fangs sink into me one more time, I'll cast a spell to where they'll rot and fall out." I laughed a little.
"Feisty," I purred towards him. "We're going to have lots of fun together." I smirked and glanced his body over again then playfully growled at him. "You're going to be down here a long time if you don't start thinking straight."
"Please keep your eyes on mine, you're creeping me out." I laughed and then sat down in front of him.
"I'm creeping you out?" I asked him and smirked. He might be a bit too feisty for my tastes.... I think I will just stick to torturing him for now. He'll probably end up dead when Jason comes up with a punishment. He leaned his head down on his knees and sighed. I watched him and then glanced the room over before I got to my feet. "So, if you could just escape your shackles, why haven't you escaped yet?"
"I don't want to escape," he told me. "When I do, I will."
"Why don't you want to escape?" I asked and looked down at him.
"I don't have a motive." He looked towards his charm bracelet and smiled. I frowned. I think we should take that charm bracelet away.... I sat down in front of him then snatched his wrist, taking off the charm bracelet.
"What's this?" I asked him, and looked it over then looked at him as I let him go and then got up, walking a few feet away so he couldn't get it back easily. He frowned and started after me.
"Don't take that from me, give it back." He reached out for it. I frowned then put it in my pocket.
"No," I told him firmly. "I'm not going to without a good reason." I smirked at him and then grabbed his hand that was reaching for it and pinned him to a wall, holding him by his arm behind his back as I slid in behind him while I pushed his chest further into the wall.
"It was a gift from my mom," he whined. "I want it back, now!"
"I'm going to have it examined, and if we don't find anything on it, I will give it back," I told him firmly.
"Give. It. Back." He stomped down on my foot hard. I groaned and then glared him down, pinning him down further.
"You better quit," I hissed at him then nipped at his ear. He struggled against me.
"Give me my charm bracelet back!" I growled at him then leaned into his neck, biting him. Yeah, Jason would get me if he found out, but he doesn't have to know. I'll turn him into a vampire and then we'll get all the info we need. I started to drain him, making it quick in case Jason walked back in. Charles struggled against me, his heart starting to pound.
"Stop, I'll rot your teeth out!" He hissed and brought his leg between mine and tried to knock me over. I kept firm and pressed him against the wall with my body weight. He's not going anywhere. I'm going to do this... and then I can pull maker on him. He started to cry then and stopped struggling. I tensed up at hearing him cry then stopped, pulling my fangs out.
"Charles?" I asked softly with concern. He's crying? I frowned and then loosened up on his arm and turned him to look at me, still keeping him pinned. He doesn't have his powers.... It's the charm bracelet. He would've used them on me if he could've.... I let go of his arm and then gently touched his cheek, wiping his tears away as I bit my bottom lip. I didn't expect him to cry. He didn't seem like he would. "Shhh, I won't turn you," I mumbled, deciding against it. I scared him enough. He gave me a frightened look and jumped at my touch. I felt my heart clench at the sight, making me feel guilt as I saw the hurt on his face. I really scared him bad.... I leaned in and kissed his cheek. "I'm sorry," I whispered to him. I felt his hands reached into my pocket then for his charm bracelet. I frowned and stopped him, pulling his hand away from my pocket. "No, you can't have it back," I told him firmly and then pulled away from his cheek. "I know what it is.... You can have it back if you cooperate with us and if Jason says that he is going to release you."
"I'd feel better with it," he told me quickly.
"Are you going to hurt us again?" I asked him softly, starting to cave a little at his words.
"No, I promise," he gave me a trustworthy look. I purred a little as I caved and then pulled his charm bracelet out of my pocket.
"Don't make me regret it," I told him firmly and then put it back on his wrist, clipping it on him. He pushed past me and ran for the door, using his magic to unlock it and took off running out the door. I widened my eyes. CRAP! I chased after him quickly then tackled him, taking the bracelet off him then pocketed it. "I just got done telling you not to make me regret it! What the hell!" I yelled at him then started to drag him back towards the room. He's like a cornered animal! Jeez! He started to yell with frustration and kicked at me.
"No, I'm not going back in there!" He yelled. I sighed a little and looked him over. Maybe he might behave if I moved him upstairs.... I glanced around for Jason and then growled, picking him up.
"Shut up," I told him. "You're going back in there if you can't be quiet." He got quiet as he looked me over. I relaxed a little as I saw him quieting down. Hm... maybe he can be bargained with. I glanced around and then started to carry him towards the stairs. "I'll let you stay upstairs on a few conditions. One, you have to be quiet and you have to not make any escape attempts. If you try, I will throw you back in the cell. Two, you'll be staying in my room so I can keep an eye on you. Three, you will listen to me when I tell you to do something and obey me or else this isn't going to work, got it? I can't let you upstairs if you aren't behaving, so you will stay with me so I can watch you."
"Okay," he whispered quietly. I nodded and then smiled at him.
"Good," I purred to him. "You'll have more of a chance of surviving if you can show me you can behave. Jason will be more likely to listen to me if you show that you aren't that bad." He struggled in my arms then and tried to get down.
"I want my charm bracelet," he mumbled.
"You can't have it back till you prove that you're worthy of my trust," I told him firmly and held him in my arms. "Don't make me put you back in there."
"I don't want to go back in there," he said softly. "I want to go home now."
"Well you can't," I told him. "You can't go home yet."
"I didn't do anything wrong," he told me quickly.
"In the eyes of the law, you did," I told him and then looked him over. "You can go home after Jason says you can. Just behave for now so he might be more willing to let you go."
"Your laws, they're not mine!" He hissed and reached for my pocket. I growled at him and smacked his hands.
"You made them your laws when you decided to become apart of the supernatural world like that," I told him then started to carry him back towards the cell and threw him in, slamming the door shut and locking it. He got to the door quickly and tried to open it. I tensed up. "You can't get out," I told him then started to walk away. He didn't listen to me already. He can't go upstairs like that. He started to bang on the door.
"Don't leave me in here!" He yelled. "Give me my charm bracelet! It's not yours!"
"You blew your chance!" I shouted over my shoulder then pulled out the charm bracelet, looking it over. It makes sense that a troll mother would give her defenseless son a gift to protect him in a world of monsters.
"Give it back!" He yelled and threw himself up against the door. I sighed and left, going upstairs as I pulled out my phone to text Jason.
Me: We don't need a witch anymore. I fixed it.
Jason: I already called her though, she's supposed to be here in a few minutes. How'd you fix it?
Me: He was raised by trolls. It was an enchanted object giving him his powers.
Jason: That's interesting. I'm going to have the witch check out the object then.
Me: No, it's fine. I confiscated it and I'm using it for a reward system.
Jason: A reward system? Are you sure that's a good idea? I think you shouldn't give it to him again.
Me: I'm thinking about it when he's more broken and willing to do what I ask of him. I was going to move him upstairs, but he tried to get it back and disobeyed me, so he's stuck in the cell again.
Jason: You're going to break his little spirit and make him your pet, aren't you?
I paused on the stairway, my finger twitching a little. Damn it....
Me: I might.
Jason: I don't mind, brother. You can do whatever you want with him. Just don't let it get out publically you're having fun with him.
Me: I won't. Don't worry. It won't leave this house.
I smirked and then put my phone up and went up the stairs, heading for the kitchen. I got a bottle of blood and opened it before I started to drink from it then headed for the night room. I found Jason sitting on the couch and watching a movie. He looked towards me as I walked in and smirked.
"I'm surprised you're not down there playing tea party with Charles."
"Why? I'm trying to break him, not reward him. What works better than loneliness and worry about your favorite magical item," I asked him and laughed, walking over and sitting beside him as I sipped on my blood. "I will go back down to see him around dinner time to feed him something."
"He is human so you're going to have to make sure he gets a healthy meal." Jason looked towards me. "He might be our prisoner but he's not skipping out his dosage of veggies and fruits."
"Alright, I'll make sure it is a decent meal," I told him and took another sip of my blood. "I might slip something into his drink to make him sleep better too...."
"Good idea," Jason purred.
"So, did you get rid of the witch or is she still coming?" I asked him and looked towards the TV.
"I told her we wouldn't be needing her tonight." He told me. He had been watching Once Upon a Time. I laughed and then nodded.
"Good... turns out his family of trolls told him to start trading with vampire kind," I informed him then took another sip of my blood. "How's Regina?" I asked with a small smirk.
"Huh. Interesting, his family of trolls. Adopted right? Guess that explains how special he is, being a human protected by supernatural. I don't see any reason in punishing him, he's human. We already got the best of our raid. If you find out anything from him though you can let me know." I nodded and then took another sip of my blood.
"So he's free to go apparently?" I asked him and smirked. I can either tell him or not tell him. Hmm... decisions, decisions.
"Your choice. I wouldn't mind if I caught him in the halls. It's better to keep your enemies close after all." I nodded.
"I'll keep him down there for a bit," I told him. "I'll figure something out. I might let him go instead of making him my pet, but I'd have to think on that." I took another sip of my blood and then propped my feet up on the coffee table.
"I think you should keep him, you marked him anyways."
"He finds me creepy," I purred. "He doesn't like me checking him out."
"Probably because no one has like you have," Jason teased. I laughed and then finished off my blood before I sat it down.
"Probably. I doubt he knows why exactly I'm looking at him," I purred and then ran a hand through my hair.
"Anyways, you're still on babysitting duty." Jason told me. "I'll keep thinking on what to do with him."
"Just give him to me if you aren't going to punish him," I purred and looked over at him then kissed his cheek. "You know I normally don't take an interest like this. You should let me have him.... No one outside of the house would have to know. You were thinking about it already after all, so just don't worry about him."
"Okay, you can have him." Jason purred. I smirked.
"Good," I told him and then relaxed beside him. "He'll be well taken care of...." I started to watch the show with him, getting quiet until I guessed it was good enough to get up and go take him some dinner. I got to my feet and walked out, going to a maid and ordered dinner to be taken downstairs to him then went up to my room and put his bracelet in my nightstand before I went downstairs to check on him. "Charles," I called out, knocking on the door.
"Are you giving me my charm bracelet back?" He asked lightly.
"Nope, not yet," I told him calmly and leaned up against the door instead of opening it. "You misbehaved. I can't even take you upstairs without you misbehaving before I go up the first step."
"You took something that wasn't yours," he told me sharply.
"Because you were misusing it," I told him. "You stabbed me with those powers of yours. I'm not going to give it back till you prove to me that you are going to behave."
"You were hurting me," he whined. "My shirt is ruined because of you."
"And you were enslaving creatures," I shot back then opened the door and walked in, shutting it behind me. He was sitting on the bed with his back facing me and looking towards the wall.
"Supernatural do it all the time," he mumbled.
"Yeah, and we're here trying to stop them," I told him and then walked over. "Look, if you would behave, I'd let you upstairs...."
"It's cold down here," he mumbled. I frowned and then walked up, sitting down on the bed beside him then pulled him back to me.
"Will you behave this time?" I asked softly. He nodded and looked towards me, looking down at my pocket then at me. I smirked. "Alright," I purred to him then picked him up. "Don't try misbehaving again," I warned and then started to carry him towards the door. He nodded and leaned his head against my shoulder and gripped my shirt. I smiled a little, feeling my heart melt at the sight. "Good," I purred softly and then kissed the top of his head before I opened the door and started to carry him out. "We'll get you a change of clothes and get you into a nice warm shower."
"I don't want new clothes, these are my clothes." He told me quickly.
"I could get them washed though... and that shirt of yours repaired," I told him and smirked.
"It wouldn't need repair if you hadn't have ripped it," he mumbled.
"Well, it needs repairing," I told him and laughed. "You could always walk around shirtless till they fix it."
"No! I don't want to go around shirtless. I'd be easy to cut." I smirked at him then kissed his cheek.
"You're not going to be cut," I promised him then took him upstairs and started for my bedroom. "I'll have to tell the maids to add dessert to the list and to bring it to my room for you." He glanced around us quickly, his eyes examining the doors. I frowned. "You're looking for ways out," I hissed at him then exposed my fangs. He looked towards me and blushed.
"No.... I'm not...." He mumbled. I narrowed my eyes slightly and then unsharpened my fangs.
"You better not be," I told him firmly and then took him into my bedroom and shut the door with my foot. I took him over to the bed and laid him down on it then sighed. "The bathroom is right over there, and if you need something, ask me," I told him then laid down on the bed as I pulled out my phone to text the maids the new information. He slowly got out of bed and walked towards the door then went inside and shut it, locking it. I could hear him start the shower up inside. I glanced towards the door and then finished texting the maids before I got up and then grabbed his bracelet out of my nightstand and crawled under my bed, looking around for a good place to hide it. I smirked when I found a loose board then pried it up and put the bracelet under the board then put it back, making it fit back in perfectly before I got up and then dusted myself off. He won't find it there.... I smirked and then got back in the bed, taking off my shoes and then my socks before I sat them down under the bed and pulled my shirt off to get comfortable. I walked towards the closet to find a pair of sweatpants and then changed into them before I went back out to the bed and laid down in it, starting to serf the internet while I waited for his food and him. He came out after a few minutes in his clothes and his hair down, reaching his shoulders. It was still a little damp from his shower. He walked over to the bed and sat down on the edge of it, looking towards my shirtless body. I glanced towards him then gave him a playful smirk before I sat my phone down then stretched, showing off my muscles to mess with him. "So... was it a nice shower?" I purred to him, watching his reaction. He looked away from me quickly.
"Yeah, can you put a shirt on?" He asked.
"No," I told him innocently. "I'm comfortable..."
"I'm not," he mumbled. "Can I have my charm bracelet now?"
"No," I purred and then sat up, grabbing him and pulling him towards me. "Here, I'll help you relax~" I told him then made him face away from me as I started to massage his shoulders. I think I'll play with him a little today... not too much... just enough. He pulled away from my hands and grabbed one of my pillows then smacked me with it. I yelped and then growled. He just smacked me! I narrowed my eyes and started for him. He yelped and threw the pillow at me and fell out of bed as he tried to get away from me. I hissed and was after him in seconds, grabbing him and yanking him up into the bed and pinned him under me. He hid his face quickly with his hands. I tensed up and then relaxed a little. I purred to him and then gently removed his hands from his face before I kissed his cheek. "I'm sorry about overreacting," I told him softly and then trailed kisses towards his lips to tease him, taking it slow. No... I don't think I'll actually kiss him, just mess with him and let him think that's what I'm doing. He kneed me in my manhood and shoved me off then got on me, searching my pockets. I groaned and then tried to relax, wincing in pain as I let him search my pockets. He wouldn't find it.... I'm smarter than that... and besides, I changed into sweatpants too. I watched him calmly, waiting for that moment of realization that I no longer had it on me. He pulled back and looked around the night stands before frowning.
"Where is it?" He asked.
"I'm not telling you," I told him and smiled at him. He got off of me and started for the doors. I was up quickly and I had him pinned in seconds. "You better quit trying to escape," I hissed at him then started to drag him back to the bed. I pushed him down onto it then opened my nightstand drawers, taking out a pair of handcuffs then cuffed him to the bed before he could get up. He sat up quickly and pulled on the cuffs.
"Why're you hiding it from me?" He asked.
"Because you would use it to escape and you'd use it to hurt me. I know it is the source of your powers, so you're not getting it back till I can trust you," I told him and frowned. "Apparently I can't. I probably won't be able to for months."
"Trust works both ways," he mumbled and kicked the pillows away from him. I watched him and then walked around the bed, getting in and then curled up under the covers. I looked towards him and then nuzzled my head against my pillow. I heard his stomach growl with hunger. He curled up and looked away from me, pulling on the cuffs. I looked him over and then sighed, reaching over him and then pulling out the key from the nightstand.
"You better not run off," I growled to him. "I'll let it go this once because you didn't know I would chain you up," I told him then uncuffed him as the maids walked in with trays. They walked up to the bed and sat down a tray with a plate full of pork tenderloin, green beans, and mashed potatoes with a side bowl of salad that had cucumbers, tomatoes, and little bits of broccoli in it. They smiled at him then put down a smaller tray with a sundae dribbled with chocolate and caramel syrup on it sitting on top of a warm brownie and a small plate of cookies. He looked the food over before grabbing the tray with the sundae on it and started to eat it. I raised an eyebrow at him and then waved the maids off. "Thank you. Come back for the trays in about an hour." He moaned with delight as he finished off his sundae. Seems he has a sweet tooth. I purred as I watched him and then leaned my back against the headboard to see what all he'd eat so I could tell them to incorporate it more in his meals. Yeah, I'm spoiling him. When he finished it he shoved the tray away and laid down on the bed, turning his back to me. I frowned and then got up, taking the trays to the door and set them outside before I locked it and then walked over to the bed. I crawled into it then laid down quietly, deciding not to mess with him as I closed my eyes and got under the covers. He curled up to himself and placed a pillow between us. I frowned a little and then opened my eyes, taking the pillow away and gently placed it aside. "What? Too shy to share a bed?" I teased lightly. He looked towards the pillow and frowned.
"Put it back," he told me. I smirked at him.
"No," I purred and then pulled him towards me. "Get used to me," I whispered in his ear to mess with him. He tensed up and pulled away from me and shoved me out of the bed. I winced as I hit the floor then got up and got back into the bed, laying back down in my spot. "Jeez," I mumbled under my breath. He could at least just have pulled away. He didn't have to shove me out. He curled up and pushed the blankets up to make a wall between us. I frowned slightly and looked towards him. He needs to stop that.... Maybe I should overexpose him to me tonight to make him more relaxed around me. "Charles," I purred to him, keeping my voice soft as I called out to him. He probably won't respond to me. He looked towards me.
"Are you giving my charm bracelet back?" I smirked a little and then leaned over the blankets between us, kissing him on the lips. Good thing he's hot. He pulled back quickly and got out of bed and walked up to the corner of the room then sat down. I sat up and watched him with a small frown.
"What? You didn't like it?" I asked him calmly. Well... that's okay. He blushed and turned his back to me. "Well, did you or did you not?" I smirked slightly and then straightened out the blankets on the bed. "You were looking at me earlier~"
"Nu-uh. You took my charm bracelet," he mumbled.
"So you didn't like it?" I asked to make sure and held back a laugh.
"No," he whispered softly.
"Well that's too bad," I purred to him. "I liked it, but if you didn't- well, that's your thing." I got up out of the bed then stretched. Maybe he would be better off going home. He's a lot of work, and he's not happy here.... I glanced him over then crawled back under the bed, getting his charm bracelet out and then tossed it to him when I was back out. "There. Jason said that he wasn't going to punish you because you're human. He gave you to me~ but what's the point in keeping you prisoner? You're a lot of work. You can either leave or stay. Your choice, but if we catch you working with the resistance again, we'll probably take you out next time." He put his charm bracelet on quickly and let out a sigh of relief before taking off for the door and ran out of it. I started to follow him to make sure he made it out, putting my hands in my pockets as I hummed softly. Too bad.... He was a little cute too. Eh, I can find someone better than him. There's really no reason why I should keep him here anymore. He ran down the flight of stairs, looking around for the exit. I smirked and then walked up, gently taking his hand before I led him towards the front doors and opened them for him. "Have a safe journey," I purred to him, letting his hand go. He blushed and hesitantly stepped outside before taking off towards the gates. "Good day Charles!" I called after him then moved back from the door and went to shut it but paused to watch him leave. It's probably best this way... to let him go. If someone found out that a Nero family member had a human pet, it wouldn't go over well. I felt a hand on my shoulder then and a purr in my ear.
"It's probably better he leaves," I heard Emily tell me. "We don't need one more resistance leader to worry about killing us in our sleep." Charles reached the gates then. "Hopefully he'll keep his mouth shut about where our little home is." I relaxed and nodded, looking back at her.
"Yeah, you're right," I told her then shut the door, turning to face her. "It'd be bad for the Nero family if I kept him too... our reputation and everything we've worked for." I smiled and then kissed her cheek. "I think he'll stay quiet enough for us not to worry. He might get eaten on his way home. Who knows?"
"No of course, we'd just tell everyone he was being punished and his punishment was experiencing what it's like to be someone's toy." She started for the night room. "You're funner this way though."
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked her and quickly followed after her.
"You'd be a drag if you had someone besides us in your life. Go ahead and look at Jason. He's already starting to stress out over his mate." I laughed and then nodded.
"That's true," I purred and then rubbed my neck. "I'd rather stay single anyways. Working with someone like that is way too much work to deal with." I smirked at the thought and then shook my head. What the heck was I thinking messing around with him? He was bad news from the beginning.
"Yeah, you'd have to actually want him and have the time and patience. We can't spend our precious eternity worrying about relationships. We need to focus on putting vampires in their place." I nodded to her and then kissed her cheek.
"You're right about that," I purred to her. "Besides, it would suck if we went to a ball and I couldn't dance with who I wanted."
"Now you can dance and sleep with anyone you want. You won't have to worry about sharing a bed either. More room for you." I laughed and then shook my head.
"That's an interesting way to look at it Emily," I told her and smirked. "Shouldn't you be worried about who your brother sleeps with, or do you just not care? Or maybe... you've been snooping around yourself~" I teased.
"Hey, it's none of my business, just a suggestion." She smirked slightly. "I hope you'll find something to do to fill in the empty spaces though."
"I will," I purred to her. "After all, I'm still babysitting Silas and his fledgling.... I could easily mess with them if I wanted."
"Yeah but eventually we have to let them go." She shrugged. I smiled and nodded.
"Yeah, but Silas still can play a good game of chess," I purred to her and then sighed. He really can....
