When Jake pointed towards the busted electrical panel I started sobbing hysterically. How were we supposed to leave?! We were at least 100 miles from shore and I don't think we could swim that distance. "Is there a life raft somewhere on the ship?" Jake offered. I wiped my eyes. Of course! it's the law to keep a life raft on yachts and other ships. How could I be so stupid.
After a few hours of searching the boat Jake finally found an inflatable raft. I started gathering supplies that we would need. Food, Water, Blankets, flashlights, and of course paddles. Jake estimated that it would take a few days to paddle all the 100 miles. Jake got the bright orange raft situated in the water and got in. He held his arms up to grab my waist and lowered me into the raft gently. I took a seat in the corner and Jake sat down and started to paddle in the direction we thought shore was.
It had been at least 5 hours. Jake stopped rowing to take a break. At least my view was nice. It turned me on seeing his muscles rippling in his arms with each row he made. It was getting dark and cold fast. Jake moved over to my side and unfolded a blanket and wrapped the both of us in it. He held me close and rested his chin on my shoulder. His shirt was soaked from sweat but I didn't care. His body kept mine warm. I fell asleep as the waves rocked us back and forth in the tiny raft. I awoke in the morning with the sun shining in my eyes. I moved over to hug Jake but he wasn't there. I looked at the front of the raft to see him rowing again. He had his shirt off and it was laid on the raft floor drying it. I couldn't help but stare at His amazing body. His muscles rippled under his skin. sweat was dripping from his uncombed hair. That then reminded me of mine. I took the hairtie I had on my wrist and used it to put my hair up in a sloppy bun. It was extra warm today. I took a water bottle from the bag that had our supplies in it and took a sip and passed it to Jake. he shook his head no. "We need to conserve water, we can't waste it, I'll get a drink when I need it" I replied "Jake, you need water or you'll will pas- JAKE!" I screamed as he passed out and fell into the water. I quickly jumped into the water. I could barely see in the water. the salt stung my eyes but I forced them to stay open. I swam deeper into the water until I felt my hand brush against his hair. I hooked my arms around his waist and kicked my legs as hard and fast as I could. I gasped for air when my head reached the surface and I pulled Jake's head above the water. It took a minute but he awoke and gasped for air. I released his waist and he climbed into the raft, almost tipping it. he pulled me up and we both fell the the floor of the small raft. I rolled onto him and kissed him and laid my head under his chin. he kissed my head. "I'm sorry" I sat up on his lap. he grabbed the water bottle and drank every drop of the water.
