The guy who was about to alert his team disappeared out of thin air. He was sent to the App to receive his punishment. Jackson with a pained face saw all this with dread-filled eyes. When he saw the huge man disappear in front of his eyes, he felt horror-struck down his throat.
"Who are you? Are you aliens? How did you make him disappear?"
While trying to sit back once again, he held the wall near him and asked.
'You do not have to worry about all these superficial things. Since we had already wasted our precious time, the podcast will resume right away.' Slaughter continued the story without waiting for a response from Jackson.
'Slayer held his weak body tightly on its claws and brought him to the mansion. Then the half-dead human was guzzled down and only the skeleton remains were left. The human's scream spread around the dark forest. Quietus, who looked outside his window at first thought it was some unlucky animal. When he was ordered by the app to clear the front yard, he saw it was no animal but human remains. He fell down on the ground and shook in fright.'
Slaughter stopped and played spooky music. Then it continued to say,
'Slaughter did not like the way Quietus wrote this part. I would like to modify and put a few more details specifically for your podcast.'
Jackson's eyes shed tears but he couldn't do anything other than that. His best friend is gone from this earth and that too in such a horrible way.
'The app sent a message for my return. Since Slaughter has to assist Quietus now, I will add these extra details in the next podcast. Until then it is your favorite broad chopper, The Slaughter signing off along with my teammates, Tegus, and Satan. I hope you will have even more chilling stories to hear from now on.'
The prison cell became silent all of a sudden. One of the team members of Gary came to Jackson's cell to check as the food delivery guy did not return even after waiting for a long time. Even though they were already warned not to enter his cell, he noticed the prison door was open.
He couldn't find his teammate anywhere. So he rushed out and called Gary to inform him about that. It ranged for a long time but no one picked it up. After multiple attempts, Gary finally picked the call.
"Captain, Tucker is missing! He went to deliver the food as he wanted to take a look at the prisoner whom you had warned everyone to stay away from. But even after waiting for a long time, he didn't come back. So I went to check if everything was alright. All I saw was the prison door was open and the food was left near the door. I couldn't see the prisoner from that angle and also I am not sure if he was still inside. I have pressed the lockdown button and if he is still inside the prison then he cannot escape." Victor while shivering explained the situation.
He was just an errand boy who was hired by Gary recently as Tucker said they needed an extra hand. Victor did not have any parents and was brought in for holding illegal drugs. Gary found him to be suitable when he searched the system, as no one would come back and ask where this kid disappeared to.
"Wait for me! I will come back soon. what about other guys?" Gary barked impatiently.
"They are all drunk and sleeping."
Gary disconnected the call without saying anything. He stopped his car on the side of the road. He had just left a few hours back and now he had to go back once again. These fools do not have self-restraint. At that time a message popped up in front of his eyes,
'Subject Carson terminated. Tucker currently on trial. Do you wish to save him?'
Gary blinked! What happened to Carson? Did he die? But how? Even though he wanted to ask these questions, as per the rules installed in his brain's system, it required him to follow the App's commands without objecting or questioning. So he ignored the curiosity and just replied,
"Yes, I wish to save him."
Tucker played an important role in maintaining the order in the dungeon. Recruiting a new person would be difficult right now and the remaining team members were not as efficient as him.
'Very well then! He can be saved if you can finish a task assigned by me. Are you willing to accept?'
"Yes," Gary responded even though he had a rough feeling that the tasks won't be any good.
'David was alive when Carson brought him to Hastin's mansion. You need to clear the alert sent by David and convince others that it was a false alarm sent by your team.'
Gary held the car to support his weight. He then called his junior to inform him that the alert was sent by mistake while transporting Jackson to a more secure place. But when the call was picked up, his juniors tensed voice was heard,
"Captain, there was an emergency alert sent by David, saying he was in danger. And that Carson had shot him and dumped him in his car's trunk. We were able to trace his location until a few hours ago but then suddenly a blackout happened and all the systems were down for a few minutes. Then when the system returned we could not trace Carson or David anymore. We checked and saw that the new terrorist Jackson whom we arrested recently, was also missing. It looks like Carson had become a traitor and betrayed the country. I have issued an amber alert and our team was deployed for a vigorous search around the last location we tracked. But till now there is no progress."
"Ok! I understand. Keep me updated on this situation." Gary said and sat inside the car.
He waited for the app to contact him once again. He did not have to wait for long as the app sent a message,
'Tucker has been restored. He will work for me from now on for monitoring Jackson. You can return back to the base and make sure they never reach the mansion ever.'
"Yes!"
Gary turned around once again and drove towards the base. Since Tucker is back, he will handle the situation in the dungeon. He hit the accelerator hard and drove along the deserted road in the middle of the night.
