Chereads / Madness Apostle / Chapter 260 - Out in the open

Chapter 260 - Out in the open

Arthur stepped outside the Clan Leaders study, his verdant green hair and dark green eyes completely visible for the whole world to see.

One of the maids who was currently carrying a large box of Rank 1 Fae materials noticed the familiar figure of Arthur in the hallway, and gave a small nod to the third young master before feeling a sharp pain emanate from her neck, before collapsing to the ground, the two distinct sounds of both her body, and her head hitting the floor echoed throughout the hallway.

Arthur let out a small breath, walking down the hallways towards the main dining hall. His Leafsword Fae in one hand and his Wood Piercing Bident in the other.

One of the butlers that commanded over the maids within the Clan Leaders residence noticed Arthur turn down one of the hallways, and smiled, not at all caring about the weapons in Arthur's hands.

"Ah! Young Master Arthur! The Madam was just looking for you. She wanted to ask whether Nadia, Natasha and the children are safe in your-".

Arthur ignored the blood splatter on his cheek, just turning another corner and staring at the main dining hall, a cold expression on his face.

Entering the large, chandelier filled dining hall, Arthur instantly heard the numerous groans and occasional screams emanating from the various injured Fae Masters and mortals who had escaped to this place. Arthur noticed Elder Bruge standing in the corner, currently working to reconnect a severed limb, his face covered in sweat and grime.

Closely beside him, was his Mother, supporting the patient by using numerous healing-type Fae on the little girl, whose face was currently contorted into ugly, painful expression.

Arthur didn't even feel so much as a single emotion within his heart, as he dropped his leafsword fae into the ground beneath him.

Within seconds, the appearance of grass all over the floor of the main dining hall caused numerous Fae Masters to life their heads and turn towards Arthur, as his Mother and Elder Bruge turned towards him, furrowed brows on their faces.

"Arthur! There is a time and a place for everything, young man! Unless this Attribute Control Skill can heal everyone present, go outside and defend the wounded from any more-".

"Thank you for giving birth to me".

Arthur clicked his fingers, launching a storm of grass blades towards the ceiling, piercing through pillow, bone, brain and skull alike as the green coloured grass shards instantly impacted with the ceiling.

Arthur felt a small droplet of blood collide with his cheek and he scanned the room, for any signs of breathing or movement. He didn't even so much as glance at the corpses of his grandfather or mother, as he turned around, taking a half step before-.

"Waah! Waaah! Waah!".

The sound of a baby entered Arthur's ears. Arthur paused for a moment before walking out, flicking his fingers, instantly silencing the cries of that new born child.

Not a single ripple emanated outwards from his heart.

Arthur had seen Fae Master bandits and scavengers swarm a town, killing all the men and taking the women and children as slaves or as dolls to vent their emotions and physical desires out on. The animalistic swarm of human garbage would fly onto a Town or a Village, landing on them like a fly over a piece of shit, taking everything for themselves and leaving nothing but scorched lands and negative emotions and thoughts behind.....

Even though Arthur could understand why people did such things, it disgusted him.

All of them, regardless of whether they were dirty mortals or Fae Master bandits were all human, not animals. And as such, they should act like humans whenever they want to get something.

Fae, Fae materials, spiritual medicines, unique treasures, women, men, even children they were all just objects to Arthur.

Killing everyone and everything was what Arthur was taught to do against bandit camps and scavenger dens during his time in a Sect. It was better to kill even the captives, so that they wouldn't have to live with the memory, or the shame of being tortured and violated.

Killing everything at the roots, that was how one made sure there weren't any traces left.

Doing dirty work for Sects.... or even Clans.... now that was something that Arthur was very familiar with.

Exiting through the main entrance to the Clan Leaders residence, Arthur felt numerous gazes land on his body, as he smiled politely, pretending as though he and the individuals that were glaring at him were long lost friends, or family.

"Elder Vova! Elder Sagan! Leon! I thought you all were going to look for survivors near-".

Leon interrupted Arthur.

"Arthur! Did you kill Elder Velika, and the entirety of Elder Zarek and his family!?".

All of the Fae Masters around Arthur took a few steps backwards, noticing his both the colour of his hair, and the smiling expression on his face. The handsome, polite young man that they had all known and grown up with was still there physically but perhaps behind the smile, something.... else lurked secretly.

Arthur just shrugged his shoulders.

"And if I said that I already found them that way, would you believe me?".

Arthur's tone was sarcastic, somewhat amused by the expressions of the people around him. Now that they were beginning to realize what the "thing" in front of them was, they were suddenly alienating him from the rest of the group.

Elder Vova narrowed his eyes.

"Arthur! This isn't something to be joking about! Two of the Elders belonging to the Clan are dead! Even if you didn't like them, it isn't something that you should make fun-".

"Arthur.... why is your hair green?".

Elder Vova interrupted Leon, causing the young man to do a spit take, his line of sight raising slightly and noticing the head of green hair on his brothers face. His expression narrowing, not understanding.

But Elder Vova on the other hand.... knew quite well of what that signified.

The only other person within Parachenko Village who possessed even similar Attributes, was Andrea.....

"You killed her didn't you. You killed Andrea and took her Sovereign Boundary Physique, didn't you Arthur?".

The corners of Arthur's mouth raised slightly, and he clapped his hands while nodding his head.

"Very good Vova! No wonder you could perceive Laws even in a place like this. If you had left Parachenko Village when you were younger and explored the rest of the world, then perhaps you wouldn't be stuck at this point".

Arthur's words and tone were grating, although Elder Vova completely ignored them.

"I always thought that your cultivation did improve a little too quickly, even before you killed Andrea. But to think that two Sovereign Boundary Physiques actually appeared within Parachenko Village.... am I correct.... Eternal Hourglass Absurdity?".

Arthur's eyes widened significantly, but his expression quickly returned to normal.

'Ah? So that's why he thinks I'm from the future.... I suppose it is the only way that someone from Parachenko Village could think time travel was possible....'.

The seventeen year old just smiled and shrugged his shoulders.

"Eh. I do my best".

Leon's expression transformed into one of horror, then shock, then awe.

It was an expression that was mirrored in all of the Fae Masters presence, especially knowing the powers and the legends behind the supposedly 3rd strongest Sovereign Boundary Physique. Created by the Zeit Race, the Myriad Race who ruled over the Time Attribute.

Leon's mouth opened slightly, and a strange voice leaked out.

"Y-you have two Sovereign Boundary Physiques?".

Arthur shrugged.

"Maybe. I do admit that Andrea was a bit of a.... surprise but by no means an unwelcome one".

Arthur glanced up at the sky, muttering something underneath his breath.

".... about.... fifteen seconds give or take....".

The other Fae Masters might not have heard it, but Elder Vova narrowed his eyes slightly, shouting out so that everyone else could hear him.

"What's in fifteen seconds Arthur! Are you going back in time again?!".

The seventeen year old lowered his gaze, and just smiled towards Elder Vova. Arthur activated his Rank 3 Flowering Shield Fae directly behind him just as-.

A massive explosion rocked the Clan Leaders mansion. Pillars of green coloured flames exploded out in every direction imaginable, releasing extraordinarily large amounts of Hatred Imperfection Powder towards every direction around the residence.

Arthur didn't even stop there, dropping his leafsword Fae into the ground beneath him.

"Wood Attribute Control Skill: Grass Reflection Kill".
