Three days passed in Parachenko Village, and another wave of excitement coursed throughout the mortal and Fae Master populations.
It had been more than a few weeks since the previous Fae Master Tournament, one that mentally shook the vast majority of the Humans living within the Village. The strength and potential of all the participants had completely and utterly exceeded the previous few years, especially with two of the participants now being Rank 2 Fae Masters.
Randolf, with his own talents and power, had become a Rank 2 Fae Master within the span of a single year. He was a first-tier talent, so that was to be expected of Randolf, but the fact that he possessed, and managed to refine a Rank 3 Conflagration Axe Fae as a Rank 2 Fae Master surprised most of the Elders.
He let himself be consumed with his own emotions and desires, neglecting his will completely towards the end, which extinguished any semblance of pride they had in the young man.
Even after an entire month of rest, he still hadn't woken up from his coma either.
.... Although that part wasn't exactly his fault.
Almost everyday Arthur "visited" his grandfather in the hopes of "improving" his knowledge of healing and support in the Medicine Hall. He just mainly nodded along, providing little shreds of comprehension here and there, before leaving the Medicine Hall just before visiting the sleeping Randolf.
A little bit of Consciousness Lotus here and there never really hurt anybody. And even if his grandfather were to find out, its not as though he would get into any real trouble.
Stretching his back, Arthur turned towards the arena near the Lecture Hall and headed over here, a polite smile marring his face.
It had been a while since he had watched others fight, and during the beast tide, the only time Arthur got to watch others fight was right at the beginning of the battle. The lower ranked spirit beasts, especially the ones that could fly immediately starting moving through the gaps in the Fae Masters defences, and approached Arthur whom they thought was an easy target.
He either had to spend time slaying spirit beasts, or gazing out towards the other sides of the Village just to make sure he wasn't in any actual danger. If he could fight a Baron Ranked spirit beast as a Rank 1 Fae Master, then Arthur wouldn't need others to fight for him, and it defeated any purpose of creating pawns.
He would just kill them all, not sparing a single man, woman or child.
Entering the arena Arthur noticed that the first fight had already started, nobody worth actually remembering, although one of the Fae used by the fighters was quite interesting.
"Hmm? Is that a Crystalsword Fae?".
The translucent, if slightly white, quartz coloured sword appeared in one of the participants hands. The young man swung it immaturely, weakly and without any particular technique or skill behind it.
He was main relying on the other Fae he had activated, the water stalker fae, which increased his speed in order to push his opponent back.
Within the span of a few minutes, the Crystalsword fae user pushed back his opponent off the stage, raising his arms high up into the air as the crowd clapped and his family and friends shouted out.
He had used quite a bit of origin essence in this fight, but considering that he was the first person to go up, he had the longest time to regenerate his origin essence! He might only be a third-tier talent, but he firmly believed that he had the chance to take the first place position!
And then, once that happened Arthur would teach him the secrets of his Attribute Control Skill, and his rise to power would be unstoppable!
The prideful young man returned to his seat, smiling slightly before high fiving some of his friends.
Arthur didn't even spare him a second glance the moment he left the stage. Since everything should go according to his previous life, the participants of the next fight should be-.
"Nyssa Kovacs versus..... Andrei Kovacs!".
Arthur smiled slightly as he sat down at the very end of the crowds, towards the highest point in the stands and not near anyone in particular. He planned on enjoying this match quite a bit, and felt the corners of his mouth raise as he gazed at the two participants on the main stage.
Nyssa stood tall and unyielding. Her natural beauty exceeded that of both Alina and Andrea, as her long, straightened raven locks where tied back today, making her give off a more valiant and powerful appearance.
Her opponent, Andrei, was slightly stunned by Nyssa's beauty before smiling slightly and giving her a bow.
"I hope that if I win this, you won't hurt the relationship between us Nyssa".
The girl in question narrowed her eyes slightly before smiling and shaking her head.
"Not at all. In fact, once I beat you, I think the only thing that'll be hurt is your pride".
Andrei smirked slightly and rolled his eyes, glancing at the Clan Leader, whose arm was raised high and his voice was booming.
"Let the fight.... begin!".
Instantly, Andrei's figure exploded as a fiery aura was unleashed from his body. His arms and legs had turned into flames, and he wielded a large flaming greatsword in both hands.
Arthur nodded.
'Flame Arms Fae.... Flame Legs Fae.... Great Firesword Fae.....', he thought.
His eyes left the male participant and then turned towards Nyssa, who also experienced a physical change.
Her bright, beautiful, blue coloured eyes vanished, being replaced with a shade of bright crimson. Two long white coloured horns sprouted out of her forehead, as numerous dazzlingly bright red lines appeared all over his arms and legs.
In her hands a.... bow, crafted out of a strange white coloured material appeared, one that looked eerily similar to bone.
Arthur smiled. She had taken his advice after all.
Nyssa's Origin Fae was the White Devil Fae, a variation of the traditional Devil Attribute Transformation Type Fae. The Fae that she picked from the Clan Reserves was the bone bow in her hands, Bone Bow Fae.
The bright red crimson coloured lines which appeared on her arms and legs was one that Arthur had given her, and one that complimented her White Devil Fae to some degree.
White Devils possessed naturally powerful strength, endurance and speed. Their dexterity was a little lacklustre, but their blood essence and the thickness of their blood exceeded human Fae Masters of the same Rank by more than six times.
Arthur had given her a Blood Flow Fae, which could speed up the natural flow of blood within her body. It increased how much strength she could exert in a single hit, and was slightly counterintuitive to using Bow type Fae, but-.
Nyssa activated one more Fae, surprising even some of the Clan Elders up on the main stage.
Elder Vova glanced towards the other Lecture Hall Elders, who shook their heads in denial.
The Head of the Lecture Hall frowned for a moment before turning towards the crowds, as if trying to look for someone in particular. His eyes darting around for a moment before landing on the familiar figure of a young man at the back of the crowds.
His expression slightly.... puzzled?
Elder Vova narrowed his eyes for a moment before turning back towards the battle on the stage.
Perhaps, it was just Nyssa's luck that she found all of these Fae, but something within Elder Vova's mind made it all seem to coincidental. After all, Nyssa was just a nobody before she awakened her Fae Master talent, an ordinary girl who never would've become a Fae Master if it wasn't for the dire situation of the Clan.
How could she find so many Fae that complimented each other in such a short period of time? It wasn't as though she was Arthur, whom had the backing of his father and elder siblings.
Nyssa felt the boiling blood within her veins travel towards her arms, gathering endlessly, seemingly infinite around her fingers.
Andrei noticed the change in Nyssa's appearance and bow, and instantly started sprinting forward, attempting to stop her and close the distance between them, before she had a chance to fire off a single arrow.
But then-.
The bow in Nyssa's hands glowed a powerful crimson, as the brightly red coloured lines extended from her arms towards said bow. It almost made the bow, now glowing with the same red lines, seem alive to a certain extent.
Nyssa's expression never once shifted, and she pulled back on the formless string of the bow, letting a long, thin, blood coloured arrow gather around her fingers as she aimed the arrow directly at Andrei.
The young man's eyes had widened, yet he continued marching forward, placing his great flamesword fae in front of him, trying to put anything between Nyssa's arrow and himself.
The breaths of all the people watching hitched slightly, and the young girl let loose her arrow, sending a blood coloured projectile straight towards Andrei.
The Great Flamesword didn't even hold up for a single second, as Nyssa pierced through the weapon type fae, continuing forward and going straight through Andrei's shoulder.
The screams of a young man echoed out, as the crowds went wild, calling out Nyssa's name.
In the corner of the arena, near where the mortals gathered, Arthur smiled viciously as he slowly nodded at Nyssa's power.
'All the better to serve me with', he thought.
