All of the new Fae Masters in the room looked at Arthur, a strange mixture of admiration, apprehension and fear could be seen in their eyes.
They all didn't fully understand the difference between Arthur and them, but to know that it took Elder Vova his entire life to accomplish what Arthur has in an year, they had some idea of how..... perceptive Arthur was.
Elder Vova didn't use the word smart, but perceptive. Those in the crowd who were a little smarter than others took note of such a thing.
Arthur didn't need to prove himself to so many random people. There were a specific few that Arthur had in mind, and other than them, the others were just useless in his eyes.
Elder Vova glanced towards Kristof, who seemed as though he wanted to say something, but restrained himself for the time being.
The Lecture Hall Elder sighed and shook his head gently.
'Oh well. They'll see the difference between Arthur and themselves soon enough. It's enough to make even me slightly jealous, let alone these children. I'll just let them learn the difference through experience.....'.
Arthur just continued to stand their silently as Elder Vova continued explaining the various rules and traditions that the Lecture Hall possessed. These Elders didn't just teach their students about Fae or Fae materials, but also about the rules and laws that Fae Masters had to uphold, so long as they continued to be a member of the Clan.
It was mainly things like respecting mortals, and not throwing their weight around too much.
In a smaller town, all of them would be quite rare, but in any Clan, of any size or strength, they needed to act in accordance to the righteous path.
At least, that was what righteous Clans and Sects did.
The questions and queries went on for about an hour, before Elder Vova dismissed all of the new students. Most of them stayed around the Lecture Hall, talking eagerly amongst their friends or acquaintances while others went home, excited to tell their families about their first day as a Fae Master.
Quite a bit of the female population though-.
"Arthur is teaching us martial arts!".
"He is really handsome, don't you think!?".
"It's not even like the masculine sort of handsome either! He is just so pleasant to look at!".
"I don't think I'll do too well in his class. I'll be too busy staring at him!".
Arthur ignored every single compliment and all the advances made towards him. He did make sure to try and at least make mention of the people on his list, or at the very least give them a small nod and a smile whenever they walked by.
He hadn't yet used the Affection Tree Fae yet, but Helga and Eric were quite happy to see Arthur as their martial arts teacher. Dagen on the other hand was friends with Kristof, so he would need a little more work.
Henrik, the bastard son of Elder Zarek on the other hand-.
"How did you get so strong?".
Arthur sat peacefully underneath a large, shady tree, opening a single eye at the tall, broad shouldered young man in front of him.
He had a slight resemblance to Robert, Alina's father, but other than that, one wouldn't even notice any similarities between him and Alina.
He had bright blonde hair and dark brown coloured eyes. And his slightly hunched figure made him seem shorter than what he actually was.
"I had someone that I didn't want to lose to. That helped".
"Are you talking about Andrea?".
Both of Arthur's eyes opened, and a burst of killing intent was sent Henrik's way. The slightly younger teen felt a wave of cold sweat appear on his back, and he froze for a moment before giving Arthur a small bow.
"I-I'm sorry if I offended you..... I didn't mean to be so forward but-.....".
Arthur pretended to glare at Henrik for a moment before closing his eyes once more.
There was an awkward silence in the air, as the faint breeze rustled the leaves above.
The clouds were moving quite quickly today....
"Being a genius.... being someone with talent.... isn't everything Henrik".
Arthur's tone seemed.... different than the one that Henrik and all the others were familiar with. It was much more sombre, much more mature than anything that Henrik had heard from someone his own age.
Arthur let out a small sigh before shaking his head.
"Just put in the hard work. Every Fae Master eventually finds something worth more than living Henrik. For some its love. Others its family. It might be something like strength, wealth or respect. Perhaps.... its just immortality. Once you fine what you want Henrik, you'll find that your goals and mentality will change significantly. You'll know what I mean in the future....".
Arthur left him with that, hoping to both interest him, as well as to plant a "seed" within him.
He even used a little bit of the Affection Tree Fae in order to influence him slightly.
Spreading affection in all things was the power of the Boundless Forest Yearning. Men, women, children. Spirit beasts, spirit plants, Myriad Race members.... even the heavens and the earth themselves were no exception.
Despite its low combat strength, quite a number of the low ranking Sovereign Boundary Physiques had abilities that could assist in numerous different fields.
The Celestial Yin Moon Sovereign Boundary Physique that Arthur had thought about earlier was one such Physique.
It's Secondary Origin Fae was the Celestial Yin Mirror Fae. It is a Fae that excels in divination. The mirror itself was supposed to be the condensation of a heavenly moon liquid pool. A type of Source Water that was supposed to give those who drink it prophetic dreams.
Alone it was still miles better than most other divination type fae, but when used as the core fae in an Attribute Control Skill, its powers and abilities exploded, becoming something that all other Sovereign Boundary Physiques had to be careful of.
Lest their secrets be revealed to the world....
The 29th ranked Immovable Earthen Mountain possessed the Immovable Stillness Fae. Despite its powerful and mysterious name, its only ability was to "anchor" one object to another. When this Fae was activated, two objects that could never normally stay together would remain connected.
It was pretty powerful if one could get used to it, and quite a number of possessors of the Fae were either Doctors or Alchemists.
The 25th Ranked Sublime Archaic Rune Sovereign Boundary Physique possessed the Archaic Knife Fae. A knife in of itself was usually used as a weapon to kill, or attack an opponent, however the Sublime Archaic Rune Sovereign Boundary Physique uses its Secondary Origin Fae in order to carve runic symbols into structures or onto the very World itself.
It didn't possess any killing power whatsoever.
There was also the 32nd ranked Sovereign Boundary Physique; Empyrean Worldly Essence.
It's Secondary Origin Fae was the strongest origin essence regeneration Fae in existence. The Empyrean Essence Fae, boosted origin essence regeneration by more than half a dozen times. Considering how powerful such a Fae was, research and theories on how to take Secondary Origin Fae had been done, but to no avail.
The Empyrean Origin Essence Fae may give the highest origin essence regeneration, but still, in comparison to the dual cultivation of the Victorious Yang Sol and the Celestial Yin Moon, it still fell just slightly short.
No combat power, but still immensely useful for cultivation, and extended battles.
Arthur just sat there underneath the large shady tree peacefully, activating the Affection Tree Fae as little as possible, but over a distance as large as he possibly could.
There were so many different Fae in the world, yet some possessed more strength than others.
"Just like people, I suppose....", Arthur sighed gently.
The path towards the apex was long and riddled with obstacles. But that didn't mean that he couldn't walk over others to reach it.
