Chapter 87 - Lunar Sword? Twilight Sword

Everyone turned towards Arthur, their expressions shocked their their mouths dropped.

Andrea especially, the one who dodged such an attack felt a slightly tingle at the back of her neck, and gulped before regaining her focus and standing up straight.

Her hands on her hips as she pointed at Arthur, a slightly angry expression on her face.

"Arthur~! What was that~?!".

Her tone was slightly singsong, but the meaning behind her words were anything but pleasant.

Arthur smiled for a second before shrugging his shoulders.

"I don't know. You tell me".

Andrea's eyebrow twitched slightly as she turned towards the toppled tree on the other side of the practice field.

The power behind that single thrust exceeded the boundaries of a Rank 1 Fae Master. It had undoubtably reached the realm of Rank 2. And since it was impossible for Arthur to possess a Rank 2 cultivation with his current abilities, that could only mean one thing.

"That was a Rank 2 Fae", Randolf murmured.

Even though he had heard of the powers of Rank 2 Fae, Randolf, and most of the young students here had yet to experience the strength of a Rank 2 Fae Master.

Even Arthur, who fought those two Rank 2 Fae Masters from the Marina Clan weren't anything important in front of this single thrust.

With the combination of Rank 1 halberd fae, Rank 1 woodpecker fae, Rank 1 metal arms fae, in addition to Rank 2 moon piercer fae, Arthur's strength had exceeded the limits of a Rank 1 Fae Master.

Of course, with only a solid quartz origin essence he could only use this move once before 90% of his maximum origin essence ran out. But, the others didn't need to know that.

At any rate, Arthur needed a killer move, other than his crocodile transformation.

This "Silver Moon Piercer" was the perfect substitute for such a thing.

If it was to go up against just a Rank 2 Wind Blade Fae like he did before, this Silver Moon Piercer would go straight through it.

A Rank 2 Fae, being complimented by Rank 1 Fae was stronger than just a single Rank 2 Fae.

The power behind them wasn't just additive either, so it was obvious that Arthur's strength would explode once he used this move.

Deactivating the halberd fae, he gave Andrea a small wink before leaving the stage.

"I've got some other things to do today! Don't slack of on your training just because I'm not here!".

His gaze swept over Ratimir and Alina, as well as Borik and Randolf.

If he didn't exert his strength at least a little, this pesky little flies might get the idea that they're better than him.

In terms of talent, they might be. But in terms of everything else; fae mastery, fae knowledge, fae control, origin essence manipulation and martial arts techniques, Arthur was the one who took the top.

His gaze lingered on Randolf for a second longer, before Arthur walked out the gates of the Lecture Hall.

He noticed Chensa give him a small smile, while the Elder Vova and the other Lecture Hall Elders just sighed, lamenting at Arthur's talents.

'If only he was a first-tier talent', they all thought.

The amount of origin essence that Arthur could use was a limiting factor in both his current cultivation and his future potential.

There existed the legendary Talent Fae, which could increase an individual's talent but since the beginning of the Kovacs Clan, no Elder, or Clan Leader for that matter, had ever seen such a thing.

It was said that large Sects and Clans with Fae Immortals could produce such Fae, but this was just in rumour in a backwater place like Parachenko Village.

Arthur stretched his upper body a little before noticing a slight breeze come through his sleeves. Looking down at the torn jacket he was wearing, Arthur immediately headed towards the main stretch of Parachenko Village, noticing all the hustle and bustle of the stalls and shops.

A lot more immigrants had come seeking shelter from the floods. So Parachenko Village was much busier, and everything just a fraction more expensive considering that there was much more demand than usual.

Arthur entered a store that he normally frequented for clothes and purchased a new tight fitting piece of clothing. He bought a new shirt, along with a new thick jacket, one with wolf's fur on the inside.

It was pretty similar to his old one, but a bit bigger, reaching below his hips.

He didn't give the jacket much thought before he headed towards a store that sold Fae, entering it and glancing around a little.

The shopkeeper from behind the front desk was a younger girl, one probably only a little bit older than Arthur.

"Hello! How may I help you today!".

The girl wasn't one that Arthur was familiar with, but he ignored the thought before pointing to the Rank 2 Fae in the various Fae Boxes.

"Can I ask if you have any Rank 2 offensive Fae? Perhaps with the Metal Attribute or Moon Attribute?".

The girl's eyes widened a little before she bowed.

"Excuse me, I'll have to get the boss for an transaction of that size".

Arthur nodded, his eyes locked on the various Fae in all the boxes.

Not even half a minute later, an older gentleman came out from the back, his gaze narrowed slightly, before turning soft the moment he saw Arthur.

"Ah! Young Master Arthur! How good of you to come!".

Arthur nodded before pointing to the Rank 2 Fae on the wall.

"Just tell me the names of the Fae, no need to tell me the abilities".

The shopkeeper nodded before gesturing to the offensive type fae in his store.

"Metal Attribute and Moon Attribute are rare in Winter Rain Mountain, however we do have a few left in stock. Rank 2 Steel Halberd Fae is always an option, as is Rank 2 Steel Sword Fae. In terms of other Fae, we also have the Rank 2 Steel Fang Fae".

"With regards to Moon Attributed Rank 2 Fae, my store possesses the Rank 2 Lunar Sword Fae. In addition to a single Rank 2 Twilight Sword Fae".

The shopkeeper wanted to explain the differences between the two variation fae, but Arthur smiled slightly before pointing to the two Moon Attributed Fae.

"I'll take them both, if you don't mind".

The young girl behind the counter went wide eyed as she gazed at the "Young Master Arthur" before her.

She had seen this young man before, as he left the main gate of Parachenko Village to go explore out in the forest. Her grandfather had complimented him as an extremely powerful genius of the Kovacs Clan.

It was only later that she found out that the young man she had seen earlier was the third born son of the Kovacs Clan Leader! Despite being a bottom-tier second-tier talent, his combat abilities were astounding, and capable of fighting against the first-tier talent Randolf Kovacs!

"Young Master Arthur" had only been a Fae Master since the beginning of this year, more than half a year ago! And yet, he was already getting close to hadron quartz origin essence!

What type of cultivation speed was that, she thought!

She herself had a third-tier talent, a 164% origin essence sea, and yet she was at hadron origin essence after three years of cultivation!

How could she not feel bad, after seeing this talented young man right in front of her!

Little Violet sighed on the inside, feeling slightly distraught after comparing herself to a "genius" like Arthur.

The shopkeeper on the other hand just smiled, rubbing his hands together as he turned towards Little Violet.

"Violet! Go grab those two Fae Boxes and bring them here!".

The girl nodded and brought the Lunar Sword Fae and Twilight Sword Fae before Arthur, turning slightly red as she turned towards him.

Unlike the vast majority of Kovacs Clan men she had seen, Arthur appeared more.... refined in her perspective. He wasn't as rugged or manly, but wasn't exactly feminine by any means.

The closest thing Little Violet could compare him too was the large pond that used to be just outside of her house. It may only be a pond, but its depths exceeded that of a fully grown man.

Whenever she used to throw stones in the pond, they would create formless ripples, before sinking towards a dark abyss, always returning to its serene appearance.

Arthur gaze met her own, and Little Violet shivered as she quickly avoided his gaze.

Arthur didn't even spare Little Violet a glance before exiting the store, quickly exchanging the two bags of origin essence stones and leaving without muttering another word.

The shopkeeper peered towards the blushing Little Violet, sighing before shaking his head.

"Even though Young Master Dominic is the next Clan Leader, it seems that Young Master Arthur is the jewel within these girls hearts....".

He sighed.

Being handsome, was in of itself an ability that Fae didn't possess, he thought.
