The moment Arthur opened the door he was instantly greeted by a tired groan.
"Ugh.... Welcome! How can I help-. Oh, it's just you Arthur".
Alina let out a tired sigh before slumping over the front counter, not caring at all for her current appearance.
Despite participating in the excursion to the Falling Snow River, Alina's father still expected her to perform her chores for their store, and made her man the front counter for the rest of the evening.
Of course, once her hours were up, all she had to do was dust the store a little bit before closing up. But even then, the fifteen year old girl still sighed as she nodded at her father's words.
She sent a glance towards Arthur, her eyes gazing over his form before turning red slightly and calling out her Father.
"Father! Arthur's here!".
Arthur gave Alina a small nod before turning to face the middle aged man that came through the back door.
Robert saw Arthur's figure placing a small bag of origin essence stones on the table before giving him a small shrug.
"The number of hidden shadow fae this month has decreased again. I did manage to sell five hidden shadow fae, but still, taking out my share and the costs of feeding the fae, it was still only about 50 origin essence stones".
Arthur took the bag readily but then shook his head and placed a piece of paper on the table.
His polite smile seemed to cause Alina to shiver slightly and her face to turn even more red.
Robert raised an eyebrow, as another smile marred his face.
Picking up the small piece of paper, Robert glanced down at it, his eyes widening before he closed it and put it down on the table.
"..... I suppose both of these would go under the same rules as before?".
Arthur nodded.
"Of course".
Arthur would receive 30% of all the profits from the hidden shadow fae, while Robert would receive the remaining 70%.
If Arthur was just an ordinary young Fae Master, he wouldn't even dream of getting so much out of this deal.
But with the Clan Leader, in addition to the Medicine Hall Elder, as well as strong Fae Masters like Dominic, Chensa and Leon behind him, even someone like Robert, the son of an Elder would have to give this young master some face.
Robert let out a deep breath before nodding.
".... These two Fae, are you aware that these will increase Alina's strength dramatically?".
Arthur sent the girl in question a glance, who stood up straight despite her exhaustion.
Alina was probably one of the most beautiful young women within the young generation of the Kovacs Clan, and probably received the courtship from multiple young men.
As the only granddaughter of one of the Clan Elders, her partner would also receive huge benefits if they were to marry into her family.
Not only that, but she wasn't arrogant, and was more than happy to make friends with some of the Fae Masters with more common backgrounds. Her father and grandfather did take care of her, but made sure to raise her without the arrogance of a young mistress of a Clan.
Alina blinked a couple times before tilting her head cutely.
Arthur shrugged, smirking slightly before shaking his head.
"Oh really? Maybe she might be able to compete for second place at the end of year tournament then?".
Alina turned red, and an expression of annoyance appeared on her face.
"Well, maybe I'll beat you then Arthur. You only got second place as well".
Arthur smirked before nodding.
"I may have lost the battle. But I won the war".
The girl seemed puzzled by his words and opened her mouth to say something before her father patted her on the head.
Robert smiled before extending his hand towards Arthur.
"I have no objections. These two Fae will allow Alina's strength to increase, as well as increase the amount of stock I have to sell. I can only ask that you come to me whenever you want to introduce something new Arthur".
Arthur took the extended hand in his own, giving Robert a small nod before picking up a spare pencil and completing one of the Fae Formula.
"I'll give you the other one in a week. Otherwise you won't be able to focus your attention on is important".
Robert gave Arthur a wry smile before nodding.
Both of the Fae that Arthur had shown him were both extremely rare within Winter Rain Mountain. Even during the expeditions out to the Falling Snow Famous River, did the Clan only find one of these.
The other one existed within the Clan Reserves, but as a Rank 2 Fae. It was earned by the Clan Leader in a battle with a bandit leader over a decade ago.
Robert's father had reserves this particular fae for Alina once she reached Rank 2, and would prove extremely beneficial towards increasing her combat power. If she had a Rank 1 version of the fae, it would allow Alina to help establish her techniques with the fae, and familiarize herself with it.
Arthur left the store shortly after. He had used some of the origin essence stones that he had just received in order to purchase food for his various fae.
After seeing Arthur leave, Alina pulled at her father's sleeve, trying to see the names of the Fae on the piece of paper.
Robert smiled, patting Alina on her head before handing her the sheet of paper.
Her mouth dropped as she read the names, before she lifted her head to look at her Father.
"Shadowslice Fae! And Umbral Fae! These two Fae are-".
Robert nodded.
Shadowslice fae was a variation of the traditional Slice fae, which sent out a crescent shaped slice towards the enemy. The shadowslice fae created a crescent shadow shaped slice towards their enemy capable of slicing right through a human limb.
Arthur's moonslice fae was also a variation of this fae.
And one that was guaranteed to create a storm in the market.
Additionally, the umbral fae was also a variation of a fae that Alina and Arthur were familiar with.
The azure fae and the crimson fae could create a ball of ice and fire and shoot it towards a target.
The umbral fae could do the same, but once the ball of shadows exploded, it stuck to the targets shadow, pinning them in place.
The force behind it was like getting a large stone thrown at someone, so it was possible that it wouldn't do any damage, but still.....
Stopping an opponent in place using shadows was extremely useful for Alina's current self. Not to mention the other Fae Masters of Parachenko Village.
They couldn't just use it in battles either!
Since it wouldn't do that much damage, it was an highly useful tool for capturing wild fae and wild spirit beasts! Hunting would become much easier if they could trap their opponents for even just a few seconds.
Some Fae Masters only needed a couple seconds to kill defenceless opponents. Especially one trapped, pinned down by sticky shadows.
This may increase Alina's strength dramatically, however, the amount of money that Arthur would gain from this would be....
Robert sighed.
"This little monster.... Perhaps our Clan really will rise in this generation".
