".... the most important thing for all Fae Masters to master, is the control and manipulation of their origin essence sea. In the heat of battle, origin essence is used quickly, as the Fae Master will continuously exert their origin essence in order to utilise their Fae's abilities. This, is where the difference in talent makes up for the lacklustre, or useless Fae a Fae Master has".
Arthur rolled his eyes for a moment, glancing outside the window, a thoughtful expression on his face.
It had only been a week since the talent awakening ceremony, and no changes to the preparations he made.
The formation of Fae that Arthur wanted would take roughly ten days if it succeeded, and would bring him great benefits in the coming weeks. In a few days he would be able to reap the benefits of his planting, and have a Fae that would increase his combat abilities several fold.
Arthur's eyes darted back to the front of the room, the focus of his gaze a small book placed on their Elders desk.
"In the
"Eventually though, the essence of the Heavens and the Earth congregated once more, giving birth to Fae and remnants of the Myriad Races. Even though life had been completely destroyed by the first Man, life still found a way.
"These new Fae and newly born Races had no idea of the savage acts that had just happened, and sought out the first Man. Still saddened by his actions under the influence of the Hatred Fae, the first Man lied to the Fae and the Myriad Races, telling them that he was just like them, the first born of the Heavens and the Earth.
"With his new talent awakened, the first Man was now on the same level as the rest of the Myriad Races, seeing nothing wrong with his words. With no hatred or enmity between them, the Myriad Races came together with the first Man, teaching him how they innately controlled their origin essence seas.
"The first Man, was also, the first Human Fae Master".
The Elder sighed, clutching the book close to his chest.
His tone was reverent, and his demeanour solemn.
It had been said that those who delved into the Mysteries of the
.... Unfortunately, something like that, solely depended on the Fae Masters talent.
"Every single one of you possesses an Origin Fae. That is a Fae created by a Human when they open their origin essence sea. Some of you possess Origin Fae that can be used right now, while others possess more stringent methods to activate. So, in order to remedy that, the Clan opens their Reserves once a year, to let the new Fae Masters choose a single Fae for themselves. Today, you will be choosing this Fae".
Excited whispers echoed throughout the room.
"This is so exciting! I wonder which Fae I'll be able to pick!".
"My Father is a Rank 2 Fae Master! He said that my talent lies in the Soul, so I should pick a Fae that resides in my Soul origin essence sea!".
"My Body origin essence sea is 59%! My Father suggested that I pick a Strength Attribute Fae, or some sort of body enhancement Fae!".
Many of the young Fae Masters of the Kovacs Clan talked amongst themselves. Most of these were the descendents of normal members of the Clan, perhaps with a Father, or Mother as a Fae Master, or some sort of close relative like an Uncle, or older sibling.
The descendents of Elders, remained silent during this time.
They all possessed a natural advantage over the others.
That was, knowing full well what types and how many Fae were in the Clan Reserves!
They all had a chance to look at the list of what Rank 1 Faes were within the Clan Reserves, and could plan ahead accordingly.
They didn't need to explain themselves to others.
However-.
"Randolf! You're talent was the highest this year, that means you get to choose first! What Fae do you reckon you'll pick?".
The tall, handsome young man rubbed his chin for a moment, before shrugging his shoulders.
"I don't really know! I mean we have ten minutes each to select a Fae, but with how many there must be I....".
All of the Elders descendents rolled their eyes at their fellow classmate.
All of the Elders sought to rope in this young man to be apart of their faction, offering gifts and presents to the first-tier talent, hoping to gain some sought of luck for the young man.
In this list of gifts, was a list of the Fae in the Clan Reserves.
Saying that he didn't know.... how shameless, they all thought!
Arthur smiled at Randolf, knowing that with his status, he would undoubtably go second. There were plenty of Fae to choose from, yet the only one that he even considered picking was-.
The door to the classroom opened up, revealing to Elders wearing smiles on their faces.
"Come along now. We must head to the Clan Reserve".
Following the two Elders towards the lower levels of the Lecture Hall, most of the newly awakened Fae Masters gasped at the realisation that the Clan Reserve was actually beneath the Lecture Hall the entire time!
The Lecture Hall would always have the Elder in charge of the majority of the lessons for them here, and usually would have other Elders wondering about, waiting for their chance to give the new generation a lesson or two.
It was always heavily guarded, and always had at least three Elders guarding it, at any one time.
Both of the Elders guiding them nodded to the elderly gentlemen guarding the gate to the Clan Reserves.
"Elder Anatol".
The elderly gentleman scratched his beard slightly before smiling, his eyes landing on a few of the young seeds in front of him.
"Good. It seems this new generation of Kovacs will be stronger than the last. The next generation should be fine to carry our burdens....".
The two other Elders nodded.
"We will go in order of talent, descending from the highest and finishing at the lowest. As such.... Randolf!".
The tall, figure walked forward, standing in front of the the gate.
Elder Anatol took out an hourglass flipping it the moment Randolf walked into the Clan Reserves.
Arthur stood silently, knowing full well what Fae Randolf would pick once he came out of the Clan Reserves.
Nine minutes passed before Randolf came out of the Clan Reserves, holding a small, palm sized red echidna in the palms of both his hands. He cradled the small Fae gently, letting it snuggle up in the palms of his hands.
During the talent awakening ceremony, Randolf had formed a Crimson Fae, a Fire Attributed Fae whose sole ability was to create a fireball of different sizes, depending on how much origin essence was poured into it.
This red coloured echidna was also of the Fire Attribute!
Contrary to his offensive Crimson Fae, this small echidna was actually a defensive Flamespike Fae!
It could create a huge amount of flaming spikes out of his back and limbs, blocking enemies from getting close! Despite its relatively high origin essence consumption, it could still restrict pretty much all enemies at the same level from getting close!
