Arthur sighed for a moment before turning towards the venom spider corpse.
Being the corpse of a spirit beast it was natural for it to have some worth, even though the spirit beast was dead.
The venom spider legs each had a poison sack in the tips of them, making them useful in Fae Formula, in addition to the web sack that the venom spider had in its massive lower body.
The fangs and bones didn't have that much use, but the latter could be grinded down into bone powder and used to promote the growth of some Rank 1 Fae materials. Some Wood Attributed and Plant Attributed Fae need bone powder as food, so keeping some of the larger bones hidden would allow Arthur to expand his plans in the near future.
Despite having its origin essence sea awakened, this venom spider didn't have any Fae within it, which was evident from the fact that it didn't use anything other than its webs and venom during the fight.
Using the Moonsword Fae, Arthur chopped up the larger pieces of the venom spider, neatly cutting it into smaller sections. Separating the flesh from the bone, Arthur threw the flesh and blood away, keeping the bones and the venom and web sacks for himself.
"I'll keep the bones outside Parachenko Village for the time being, while I sell the venom and web sacks later today. Their use isn't particular high, and no Fae Formula that I have on hand uses these as materials.....".
Sighing Arthur put these materials in a sack that he had prepared earlier, and headed straight towards the Crimson Seed Maple Tree nearby.
The once large and vibrantly coloured Tree seemed slightly depressed despite the large amount of rain and sun it received. The colours seemed dull and the once strong crimson coloured leaves fell to the ground, painting the ground a brightly coloured red.
Arthur nodded, smiling.
"It seems that it worked", he muttered.
Kneeling before the small patch of slightly discoloured grass, Arthur reached down into the soft, moist soil, pulling out all the dirt in his way before reaching the large, discoloured root below.
The once thick, strong and nutrient filled root of the Crimson Seed Maple Tree was now shrivelled up. The small square shaped hole where Arthur had carved out was completely dead, yet, for some reason, possessed a series of bright, blood coloured veins running through it.
".... ah? There you are".
Reaching down, Arthur picked up the small creature attached to the Crimson Maple Tree, his expression mixed as he gazed at the small blood coloured leech in his hands.
"It's not a Leafsword Fae.... or even a Bloodleaf Fae.... It's a Bloodseeker Leaf Fae....".
This.... was definitely out of the ordinary.
In this World, there existed Seven Continents. Each continent possessed their own unique forms of Fae and Fae materials, due to the unique biomes and heavenly laws, that dwelled deep within the Seven Continents.
The Winter Rain Mountain, home to the Kovacs Clan as well as the current Arthur, was currently located in Azure Envy Continent. The Northernmost Continent as well as the coldest.
Winter Rain Mountain was specifically located in the western region of Azure Envy Continent. It was the region furthest away from any other Continent, as well as the most isolated in terms of humans living.
Due to the heavenly laws within each Continent, it wasn't normally possible to create a Fae from another Continent, without some sort of preparation being performed beforehand. Usually, it was through the sacrifice of a creature from that specific Continent, in order to mask the aura of the one creating the Fae.
This was one of the reasons why some of the more powerful Continents hadn't just openly attacked the others.
They were restricted from creating Fae from Continents that they weren't from.
This was another one of the Thirteen Great Fae Mysteries of the World.
However-.
Arthur's brows furrowed deeply, his mind and thoughts running rampart as he gazed towards this little crimson coloured leech in his hands.
There were countless Fae that existed in the Thirty-Three Heavens, more than one could count.
There were Fae that had gone extinct, due to the change in environments or the rapid destruction of Fae materials.
There were also Fae that had yet to be discovered. The Seven Continents were mirrored by the Seven Seas, each only being explored by a fraction of those who dwelled on land.
There were also Fae that allowed one to possess the strength of ancient spirit beasts and fallen Gods. They were all long lost to time, and destined to never be seen again....
There were Fae that fell from the Heavens, coming from foreign worlds and archaic voids which had never seen the light of day....
Not to mention the Fae that were created during the talent awakening ceremony. Of course, if the parent is a Fae Master, the chances of possessing the same, or a similar Fae is extremely high, but there are always exceptions....
This particular Fae, was definitely not from Azur Envy Continent.
"It's from Viridian Greed Continent....".
Bloodseeker Leaf Fae were similar to the Bloodessence Fae that Arthur needed earlier.
While Bloodessence Fae utilised the blood essence within the hosts body in order to create origin essence for them. It allowed them to rapidly restore their origin essence in order for their host to use during battle, or for cultivation.
Having more origin essence to use, meant that Arthur could temporarily bridge the gap between himself and a first-tier talent. His cultivation speed would increase drastically, and until would definitely be able to become a Rank 2 Fae Master before even Randolf.
"However, the Bloodseeker Leaf Fae isn't the same.... exactly".
The Bloodseeker Leaf Fae was an offshoot of the traditional Bloodseeker Fae. It couldn't occur naturally, without the influence of a human when the essence of the heavens and the earth intersect to create a Fae.
Naturally, since it possessed the word "Leaf" in its name, it had something to do with leaves, instead of just pure blood.
While normal Bloodseeker Fae could absorb normal blood and refine it into origin essence. The quality was way less than the Bloodessence Fae, but the quantity was much more.
The Bloodseeker Leaf Fae on the other hand, was much more specialised.
"While the Bloodseeker Fae converts blood into origin essence, its Leaf mutation allows me to draw blood from leaves, and refine it into origin essence. Blood from leaves in this instance, is considered vitality, or life force from leaves....".
This.... was a little bit troublesome.
Some Fae, like the Bloodessence Fae or the Bloodseeker Fae actually harmed the Fae Master while cultivating, using their own blood as fuel for their cultivation. This naturally had some sort of drawbacks in the long run, but with Arthur's knowledge the damage was practically non-existent.
On the other hand the Bloodseeker Leaf Fae didn't harm the foundations of the Fae Master. Instead it drew upon the life force of plants and used it to increase his own cultivation. This Fae was something that didn't normally exist in the Azure Envy Continent, which was why Arthur was so surprised to see it.
It was a matter of convenience, since he would've had to leave the Village constantly, so as to keep drawing upon the life force of plants around him.
He was troubled by the lack of knowledge regarding why something like this happened, but decided to keep quiet about it for now.
There was no way he was going to talk to anyone about this! This just meant he had one more thing he needed to keep quiet about among the literal mountain of information he had stored within him.
However, the existence of this Bloodseeker Leaf Fae, did give Arthur one idea.
His smile grew.
"Perhaps telling someone about this, might prove to give me some benefits....".
