Chapter 18 - C:17 Luuna Cult

Victor's POV:

The moon was rising higher into the sky as I trudged along the road, looking around at the woods around me. Damn it... they had to go and end the war without me. I wanted to be there.... I wanted to see the look on their parents' faces when we won. I earned that much. I felt a hum bubbling up in me as I looked at the rocks on the road then froze up as my head started to hurt. I groaned and fell over into the road, gripping my head. "GAH! THE HELL!" It felt like my head was splitting in two- like someone had taken an axe and was driving it through my skull. I could feel tears slipping down my face as I turned over onto my stomach and banged my head against the dirt, trying to make it stop. It felt like it was burning, the pain agonizing. I could faintly hear someone singing nearby, the voice a small boy's voice.

"Victooor~ come out and play," the boy sung out. "You know this isn't you~ Don't run from it! It's wooonderfuuuuul," he purred. I winced then slowly lifted my head, looking for the boy's voice and saw him standing a few feet away from me, his body transparent as he watched me with a smirk. "Hand me the wrench," he whispered and exposed his fangs at me, grinning. I widened my eyes and shrieked, backing away from him as my head pounded. I tensed as I noticed his snow-white hair and his similar features to me- is he me? "Always listen to what daddy tells you," he said and smirked, starting for me. "Didn't he ask us for the wrench?" T-the wrench? I went to get to my feet but fell over onto my side, groaning. "Victoooor~ don't run from this~ You're meant to maim and torture- to prey on the weak! This is us!"

"S-stay away from me! You're not real! You're not!" I shouted at him and threw a rock at him, only making him giggle madly as his eyes darkened.

"Not real? Oh... I'm real alright," he said and smirked. "I'll show you how real I am." I widened my eyes then felt my head pulse before I groaned and gripped it.

"Make it stop.... Make it stop," I begged and started to crawl away from him slowly as he followed after me calmly. "GO AWAY!" I heard a faint howl near me and then a small growl. I widened my eyes and looked towards the woods. Wolves?

"Victor," I heard the boy whisper in my ear, leaning over me now. "Where's the wrench?" I shrieked and went to push him away, but my hands went through him. He grinned mischievously at me then. "If you don't hand over the wrench... I'll have to punish you~" I felt my head pounding then and I let out another scream as my vision blurred, a thud reaching my ears as my head hit the ground. "I'll break all your toes... then your legs... and then your spine... and your ribs... then your fingers, arms, and neck... bone by bone," the boy hissed then. "Daddy always said that you must strike fear into your victim~!" I felt excruciating pain racing through me as it felt like my toes were starting to break, but I could see through my blurred vision that they looked okay. Blood suddenly ran down my feet, making me widen my eyes as I screamed and arched my back, but the blood was gone quickly, disappearing without a trace as I felt pressure applying itself to my legs, the boy grinning at me. I caught the faint scent of wolf lingering in the air. I groaned and held my head before I managed to get onto my hands and knees, my fangs exposing from the pain as I forced my body to move. I can't get caught. I can't. I can't let wolves catch me! I've got to escape this boy! I shouldn't have left! I cried out as I was yanked back, my leg suddenly breaking from the pressure and causing me to shriek as I hit my head on the ground.

"Victor... take the knife," my father purred into my ear. "You can cause lots of trauma with it. A knife is your greatest weapon, and your enemy's worse fear," he whispered, putting a knife into my hand. I looked down at it curiously then giggled as I licked the blood off it that was on it. "You're such a good boy~" I watched as my father kissed the side of my head then nudged me towards a man strapped down to a table. "Cut him up~ Do as you please to him~ Whatever you want, he's yours." I giggled and bounced over to the man then looked him over. The man's eyes widened, and he shrieked, starting to tug at the leather straps holding him down as I managed to climb onto the table and got over him. I looked the knife over then started to cut his shirt open, making him shiver.

"Please don't do this. You're just a child! Don't listen to him! He's a bad man," the man shouted at me, fear in his eyes. I giggled at the sight then exposed my fangs, biting into his shoulder harshly before I tore a chunk out and moaned as I ate it. I could feel my father's eyes watching me approvingly, making me purr before I looked the man over and brought the knife down into his stomach hard, making him grunt. I started to drag it to the right, watching as his beautiful red blood flowed like a river from his skin. His screams faded from my hearing as I hummed my mother's lullaby under my breath, giggling as I started to make him into a work of art with my knife. He's all mine~ mine, mine, mine~

I panted as sweat dripped down my forehead, my head echoing with the man's screams as I laid on the road while my head pounded. My vision was still blurry as I fought to regain my consciousness, wanting to wake up from that horrid nightmare. What the hell is going on?! Why do I keep seeing torture? I heard a low growl start up next to me. It was so close to my ear, and a hot breath of air hit it. Before I could react, the thing that growled in my ear took a bite out of me. It sent a spasm of pain though my entire being. Teeth ripped and tore into my skin while my body was still in shock of what was happening. Torture scenes and now this? What's real and not real at this point? Is this just a dream? Am I awake? Or am I dead? I'm dying.... This bite is killing me! Pain was spreading in my body fast... and this animal... a wolf was not easing up on its jaws around me. Death is knocking at my doorstep. I cried out and looked towards the wolf in panic before I struggled, exposing my fangs. I could hear the little boy cackling as he watched me.

"That's right~ Embrace the pain, Victor," he purred to me and stepped over my body before he sat on my stomach and smirked at me. "It's time~" I looked towards him with wide eyes then let out a shriek as I felt the wolf's bite venom racing towards my crystal. I'm going to die! I'm going to die like a dog in the streets! "Victooor~" My head was pounding as I panted, my body starting to sweat as pain racked through me and made my vision blurry again before I couldn't see a thing.

I stepped towards a cradle, holding a knife in my hands as I giggled. Mommy said that my baby brother was in here I think~ I want to play with him. He'll love me forever, and I'll be the best big brother to him~! I stood by the cradle bars and peered in to see a tiny baby curled up in the soft sheets, cooing as his eyes were shut. He looked so peaceful. I smirked then grabbed the bars, starting to climb up to get to him, but my body was yanked away from it suddenly, and I felt a hot red streak of pain hit my cheek, making me tear up. "Just what do you think you're doing?!" I heard my mother hiss at me. "You're not supposed to be in here! This isn't your room!" I whimpered and looked up at her before her eyes traveled to the knife in my hands, and her gaze went sour. She snatched it from me then threw it before she exposed her fangs at me. "Were you going to stab your brother?! You monster!" She went to hit me again, but I widened my eyes and squirmed out of her grip. Why is she so mad at me?!

"Mommy!" I whimpered and slipped past her. "What'd I do?!"

"You know what you did! Get back here, Victor!" She grabbed me and made me get down into the floor, pinning me down with her foot. "You're a bad boy, Victor. I knew there was something wrong with you. I knew it! Ever since your father started taking you downstairs, you've become a monster! You're rotten! Oh, but we'll fix you," she hissed. I heard her rip off a piece of her dress before she grabbed my hands and bound them behind my back. "Victor... don't worry. We'll lock this all up inside. You won't remember a thing. You'll become a perfect little prince. I promise you this. It's just the Russian madness...." She whispered then pulled me off the floor by the collar of my shirt. "We'll get a witch! We'll have her lock it all up inside- where you'll never remember all of this." I felt her cold lips kiss my cheek before she started to yank me out of the room, dragging me against the floor into the darkness of the hallway and away from my slumbering brother....

I shrieked and started to thrash, pushing at the wolf's jaw as I felt it clamping down harder, waking me from that horrible nightmare. I snarled and exposed my fangs, going to bite him, but the venom edged towards my stone, making me cry out. I was suddenly in the foyer of Laurence's castle, laying on the cold floors as the wolf was still on me. The boy was standing a few feet away, smirking at me as he laughed at my misfortune. "Don't you see, Victor? You're supposed to be so much more~!" I groaned then let out another scream as it got another inch closer to my stone. I shoved at the wolf again and managed to wrestle my way away from it, collapsing on the ground as I cried out.

"S-someone, please help," I begged, my voice barely coming out a whisper as it felt like my body was about to give out as fire raced through me. I'm going to die! I'll be a stain on the floor!

"Victor?" I heard Val ask. "What's... going on here?" I heard her coming up slowly, but the wolf by me gave a territorial growl. "A-are you okay, Victor?" I could hear concern in her voice as her footsteps stopping coming this way from the growl. I heard her gasp then. "LAURENCE! SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH VICTOR!" The wolf left my side and took off running. I could smell fear leaking off the wolf... along with the scent of a female. A she-wolf.

"What do you mean something is wrong with Victor?" I heard Laurence ask out of nowhere but in the room with us. "Oh!" Laurence let out a small sigh of relief. "Lucky I know what to do in this situation, Victor, or you would be a goner. Val, we'll need you for this. I hope you're prepared to save his life. Werewolves can kill vampires with just one bite. It's very important to not let one close to you."

"Just tell me what to do," Val said calmly. She's going to save me after what I did to her human five years ago. Does this mean she forgives me?

"First... BAYLORIK! DON'T LET THE WEREWOLF ESCAPE!" Laurence yelled away from us. I heard a roar from the treasure hoard before Baylorik's footsteps started to race towards us for the werewolf with a snarl. I groaned and gripped my head, curling up into a ball as it pounded. Please, not this again! I glanced towards the little me as my vision started to blur before a shriek ripped out of my throat, a spasm of pain going through my body as my muscles clenched up. My little self-grinned before he sat down in front of my line of sight and started to hum my mother's lullaby, watching me with an evil look in his eyes.

"Victooor~" he purred out then went to touch me, making me flinch. I could hear the wolf growling at Baylorik and trying to get away. I even heard a maid yelp as a vase smashed against the ground.

"We'll first have to take his stone, so it has a fine chance of surviving this," Laurence told Val. "Hold him down, and I will do it. If the venom reaches his stone, then we will have to work fast to stop the venom from killing him. That will be the major role you will have in saving him." Val's face appeared over me then before I felt her soft hands holding down my shoulders. Laurence's face appeared in my blurry vision then and blocked out my younger self from my view. I looked towards him weakly, glad for the change and held in a groan as I smelled my own blood from my fingernails digging into my palms.

"L-Laurence," I groaned then looked towards Val, confused about why she would help me. I killed her human... and she was so angry at me for it.... Wouldn't she want to see me writhe in agony? I winced as I felt the venom reaching my stone finally, starting to envelop it as it felt like acid eating away at my very core. Another scream ripped its way from my throat, and my back arched off the cold floor under me. I brought my hands up quickly to my chest and went to tear at it to try to make it stop as my stone pulsed in panic.

"Quickly now... we don't have much time left," Laurence muttered. He yanked my shirt up to get to my bare skin and dug his nails into my skin as he shoved and carved his hand into my chest. A warm feeling grabbed my very being and brought panic inside me before the world grew dark. Laurence's hand was leaving my body... my form with me.

It was dark and lonely for a little while, but I wasn't suffering. I was in a dark slumber like state. When I grew conscious of my surroundings, I had the faint taste of... Val's aroma in my mouth. Her blood. A warm blanket was wrapped around my nude body, and I was laying on a very recognizable... bed. My bed in Laurence's castle. Everything was fine now; I could feel it.

"Baylorik took the werewolf downstairs and into a holding cell until he grows conscious," I heard Laurence telling someone softly. I groaned a little and opened my eyes slowly as I heard Laurence's voice then winced as my vision was still blurry. My hands traveled up the blanket, looking for Val as I blinked away the blurriness in my eyes.

"V-Val," I whispered, swallowing her blood in my mouth then biting into her harder as my hunger spiked. She saved me... after all I did to her.... A purr bubbled up in my throat as I finally grabbed her arm and held it.

"Right here." I felt fingers run through my hair before she yanked her wrist away from my lips. "That's enough of my blood. You can use a servant to gain what you lost. Welcome back, Victor." I looked up towards her and frowned as I licked my lips then growled, snatching her wrist back as I sat up and went to bite down into it. I wasn't finished! I heard Richard laughing a little from where I heard Laurence's voice.

"He's hungry~" Richard said teasingly. "Looks like that took a lot out of him. It's a good thing he survived."

"He smells like dog still.... It's disgusting," I heard Paris whisper. "I thought you guys got the infection out of him completely."

"I think that's just Val and me. We have his old scent on us that was infected by the werewolf, Paris," Laurence told him. I felt Val yank away before she slapped me hard- back handing me across my cheek.

"I said that was enough from me, Victor. Respect me. I did help save you. Ungrateful," she hissed out. I heard her walk away from me then. "Alex," She grumbled. I frowned and licked my lips clean as I looked towards her.

"Val..." I mumbled and watched her walking away. I rubbed my cheek then looked away from her. "Thank you for saving my life, Val... and Laurence." I'd be dead if it wasn't for them. I couldn't help it though. My throat hurts from the loss of blood. I brought the blanket closer around me then looked towards Laurence with a frown. Didn't he say something about the werewolf being locked up? "Where is she?" I asked him quickly. She's still here... and alive. I clenched my jaw slightly and went to get up, dragging the blanket with me to keep my body covered.

"In a cell," Richard hummed out towards me. "Baylorik is watching her to keep her from breaking out of it." So, they did catch her and contain her.... I started for the door then, yanking the blanket closer around me.

"Well, I had Baylorik watch her for our safety. We kept her alive to give to you. I think she'll be your responsibility." Laurence gave a small smile as Val wrapped an arm around Alex and looked back towards me before she bit down into Alex and started to drink his blood. Her eyes remained on me before she gave me a smile and shoved Alex at me.

"If you can catch him then you can take a few sips from him. It wasn't a big deal to save you, Victor. Especially over a mortal I knew centuries ago...? I'm over it." She shrugged and gave a small laugh. "It's fun chasing after you though and scaring you with looks. Besides... your death date should be planned out by me and not someone else." I looked towards her then purred. So, she does forgive me? What's this about my death date though? I'm not going to die easily~ Then again, I just did recover from a wolf bite.... I laughed then smirked, exposing my fangs towards Alex and started for him.

"I'll just take you up on your offer then, Val~ Oh Aleeeex, come here!" I told him and went to grab him. His eyes widened, and he took off to the other side of the room quickly.

"No! Nuh-uh! I'm not feeding you! Stay back!" He hissed, sharpening his fangs as he watched me with cautious eyes. I smirked and teleported behind him, biting into his neck quickly and yanking him to me. Giving a small groan, he glanced back at me then hissed lightly but didn't shove me away, fuming as he looked at Val and tensed up.

"What's the matter?" Val raised her eyebrow as she watched Alex. "Do you not want to help our friend? He needs blood, and you have lots of it." Alex frowned and crossed his arms, clenching his jaw.

"I'd rather it be your fangs," he muttered under his breath. I laughed and pulled back as I felt better then smirked.

"Her fangs? You have a preference?" I teased him, making him widen his eyes before he growled and shoved me away.

"Victor," he muttered and glared me down. "Go put on some clothes. A blanket isn't appropriate in front of a lady." I smirked at him then started for my closet, but I was stopped as my foot was tackled and Mayloi purred, nuzzling his little dragon head against my foot before he attacked one of my toes.

"Mayloi... Come here boy and leave Victor to do as he wishes." Laurence walked up to us and snatched him up. He looked at everyone eyes then. "Let's leave Victor alone now so he can..." Laurence looked me over. "Figure out he's missing clothes and hopefully put them on." He disappeared though shadows. Paris gave me smile before he teleported with Richard- clearing themselves from the room entirely.

"We can go venture into the garden," Val suggested to Alex before yanking him out of the room. I watched them leave before I dropped the blanket to the floor and went to the closet, going inside. I got a change of clothes on quickly before I walked out and towards my door. Laurence said something about that she-wolf being in a cell downstairs... and that they were going to give her to me. Don't werewolves travel in packs? I frowned and sniffed the air for Baylorik before I followed the scent down a set of stairs then eyed the hall of cells over.

"Baylorik!" I called out and shoved my hands into my pockets.

"Is that you, Victor?" I saw him poke his head out of a cell then, in his human form. I smirked and walked over to him.

"I heard you have something for me," I purred and looked past him into the cell for the wolf.

"Yes, Laurence is giving her to you to keep," Baylorik grumbled and stepped aside. "Take her so I can go to the treasure hoard!" I laughed and walked in, eyeing over the wolf that was chained up to a wall. So, this is what bit me and took advantage of my situation. I clenched my jaw and stepped up to the edge of its path, eyeing over the length on the chains that allowed about a foot of movement in either direction. The werewolf was curled up into a ball with a paw over her nose but moved it as soon as I stopped. She raised her head up a bit and wagged her tail like she was happy to see me then stood up and twitched one of her ears. I frowned then watched her before I knelt and eyed her over.

"Why'd you bite me?" I hissed at her, keeping my gaze firm with her. There's no way in hell I'm falling for the cute doggy trick. She tried to kill me. She stood up slowly before walking up and breathed into my face then licked my cheek and sat down.

"I just wanted a friend," she told me. "Why haven't you changed yet, and where are we?"

"We're in my friend's castle," I told her and frowned. I can hear her? "I didn't change because I'm a vampire. You can't turn a vampire. Your bite kills vampires," I growled at her then eyed her over. Just wanted a friend? What was she trying to do? Turn me so I'd be a wolf with her?

"What's a vampire?" She asked and laid back her ears as she watched me then sniffed my shirt. Her tail wagged before she looked towards the chain and growled. "Get this off me." I frowned. Did she just ask me what a vampire was? Is she that clueless? I sighed then tsked at her.

"You really don't know anything, do you?" I asked her and relaxed. She probably didn't mean anything by the bite. "If I take those off you, you can't bite anyone here, got it?" I looked her in the eyes then. She eyed me over.

"I won't bite anyone as long as I am showed kindness and respect. I'll bite anyone that has a problem with me and wants to hurt me. In other words, I will defend myself if I have to." She raised her head up to show the collar around her neck. I looked her over then nodded.

"No one here is going to hurt you," I told her then smirked. "You're going to stay with me by my side, little wolf," I teased then reached over and started to undo the chains on her. I'll keep her. She's too innocent to be a murderer. A wolf might come in handy someday.

"Stay with you? I guess you can stay as my companion... but I was really hoping to make you into a wolf to share this experience with..." She trailed off and licked my hands. I watched her then laughed before I started to rub her head.

"Well, you can't turn me into a wolf. I'm not human. If you want a wolf to run with, I might get you a human to turn later," I purred then took the chains off the collar, keeping the leather collar on her before I pulled her towards me and rubbed her ears curiously.

"Hey... don't leave the collar on me!" She started to wag her tail faster as I rubbed her ears. "I'm not a domesticated animal."

"I'll put my name on your collar," I teased her and smirked as I moved my hand behind her ears and tried it there. She leaned her head into my hand then.

"Then it would be yours."

"No... it'd be my name on your collar which means you'd be mine," I purred at her then looked towards Baylorik. "Baylorik, you can leave," I instructed, watching as he rushed out of the room quickly with a growl. I looked back at her then before I stood up and picked her up into my arms. "Let's get you a bath so the forest scent comes out of your fur," I muttered, looking her fur over. "Then a meal."

"What if I don't want a bath? I like the smell of earth on my fur. It comforts me." She jumped out of my arms quickly and took off running out of the cell as fast as she could. As soon as she was out, she stopped and started scratching at the collar. I frowned and went after her before I scooped her back up.

"Don't scratch at that," I scolded and held her closer. "That's your collar."

"No. It's not my collar. Now get it off me!" She let out a small growl and laid back her ears as she watched me. I laughed and smirked at her.

"How about no," I purred then teleported us up to my room. I took her towards my bathroom then sat her down on the floor. Shutting the door, I moved to pump the water for a bath. "You're a werewolf... right? Would you like to transform back and take a bath on your own?" I asked her calmly, watching the warm water flow into the tub.

"Would you leave me alone and give me my privacy for it as well as a dress?" She asked and sat down nearby. "I'm not leaving this form until you promise me that." I looked towards her and nodded, giving a smirk.

"I'll get you a dress from Val," I purred then knelt and rubbed her head then slipped my hand down to her collar and took it off her. "For while you are in your human form," I whispered to her.

"I'll rip that thing to shreds if you dare place it back around my neck," she growled out before pointing towards the door with the tip of her nose. "Privacy! That means alone time, Mr. companion." I smirked then looked her over before I tapped her nose and stood up.

"Alright, alright~ I'll get out, little miss- Hey, what's your name?" I asked her and frowned. I never asked the she-wolf.

"Luuna~ I'm named after the moon goddess! Except I have two 'u' s in my name. My father said it was his choice to make when my mother died giving birth to me and my twin brother." Luuna- now that I was noticing she was a white wolf with black markings over her fur. Special markings that looked like they were telling something in an unknown text. Her eyes were glowing a bright blue. Like when the moon hits a dark lake and shimmers a blue glow on it. "Oh, I know what you're thinking. Why would I need a companion if I speak like I have a family? Well, I don't. My father's downfall was my evil twin. Then he ran me out of his territory... or rather I ran when he got all beast like and I've been on my own since... until you. Darkness dwells within my brother... but I think it's because his wolf inside him is in command instead of him. He lost his balance and fell to its power. So! If you ever see my twin, run the other way. He will bite harder than I will." I frowned then. How is she not messed up because of this? Her brother killed her fath- Oh... well never mind~ I killed my own father. I laughed at the thought then smirked at her.

"I'll make sure to remember that," I purred then started for the door. "Get the forest scent off you. You're not getting into a bed smelling like that."

"I'll keep as much of my favorite scent on me as I want," she growled with warning before I heard the water moving in the tub like she had got in it in her human form. I felt my eyes tug back to look at her, instinctively going to check out the noise as my curiosity got the best of me. Luuna glanced towards me before throwing a bar of soap at me and sunk low in the bath.

"I caught you looking! Show a lady some respect! I might have a wolf side, but I am still very much a girl." Luuna glared me down before smirking. Her hair was a short bundle of black curls around her face with mud and twigs sticking out of it from the forest. She also had a few healing bruises across her body as well as a wolf bite that was infected on her neck. I even caught some briars sticking out of her skin that I didn't notice in her wolf form. Her fur must have been covering the damage up. She even wasn't that big in the chest like Val is. Luuna was about my age all in all. I smirked a little before I gave her a playful look.

"I can't look? That's too bad," I teased her. "What happened to your neck? Was that your twin?" I'll have to get someone to look at that for her. We can't let that stay infected for too long if she's going to be my pet.

"I told you he turned into a beast. Of course, it was him. I got away just in time before he could deliver worse to me. How about I tell you a story tonight after my bath?" She eyed me over before sinking lower into the bath. "I know a few good wolf stories my father would tell me to get me to go to bed when I was a cub." I laughed then.

"You're going to try to put me to sleep?" I asked her softly. If she's going to do that, I might as well let her stay here in my bedroom. "Luuna, you should stay in here with me tonight." I'll make sure she doesn't run away either by doing this.

"No thanks. I sleep alone, companion. I just wanted to give you a playful story. I like one about the big bad wolf and a lamb." She glanced towards me and laughed. "They're fun stories, and if you fall asleep through one, then it means you really are a kid." I purred at her then before I walked over.

"I'm not a kid. I'm a full-grown pureblood vampire," I said and exposed my fangs playfully. "Stay in my room tonight. I'll make sure you don't leave the castle while everyone sleeps." She eyed me over before nodding.

"I call the big fluffy bed in there. You can sleep on the fur bear rug." She splashed water into my eyes before I got too close. "Where is my privacy I requested? Honestly... show a lady some respect." I rubbed at my eyes then and gave a slight growl before I looked towards her.

"You should've waited till after I was out of the room," I teased her as I winked then looked her over before I walked back to the door and tossed the bar of soap back at her, leaving the room. I gave a small frown as I shut the door and looked around my room. So... I have a wolf companion who tried to bite me when I was down.... I rubbed my head then as I went to my bed and sat on it, looking at the floor. The last time I was conscious... I was seeing that boy- that little me... and I was seeing what seemed like memories from my childhood, but I don't remember my father encouraging me to cut people up.... Was it true? Maybe I was too young to remember right, and I forgot it. My dad did torture people- traitors to the throne. I know he did. I could hear faint screams from the dungeon sometimes when he went down there. He never took my younger brother down there though. I glanced at the door as I started to feel uneasy, wondering if I was going to break down again like I did when Luuna found me in the road. Maybe I should go ask Laurence about this. He would know something and put my worries to rest.

I teleported outside of Laurence's bedroom and knocked on it, listening in for him as I frowned. "Laurence, are you in here?"

"In here," I heard Laurence tell me. "Come in Victor. I was just about to fall asleep." The doors opened mysteriously by the shadows, and I found Laurence reading in his bed with Mayloi by his side. There was a candle right by him and flickered from the movement of the shadows. "Is this about the illusions haunting you earlier? You want enlightenment." I frowned and nodded, coming in and shutting the door.

"Yes... it got me attacked in the road... and I've saw a flash of something similar before the road when I was killing my parents," I told him and walked over, taking a seat nearby his bed. If I really did do those things... then what happened? My mother dragged me out of my little brother's room in the last one... and I haven't seen a little me around since I woke up.

"Don't be so surprised. Your parents weren't the best, and you know that. Like most your age... parents played with their children's minds. What you were seeing last night is your mind telling you and reminding you that... your parents locked away a part of you. I'm sure I don't have to go into detail. You know as well as I do. Your white hair gives it away. Victor, you're just as messed up as the next person staying at my castle." He placed the book down calmly- but I was able to catch he was reading a collection of wolf-lore. "Victor, you have a darkness dwelling in you. Awakening. You've forgotten who you were... but you will remember. When you remember it all and comprehend it... you will find yourself stronger than you were with it locked away. It's already unleashed itself upon you, just think real hard. You were insane with your family's madness. The best in fact and trained at a young age... but you lost control and your parents locked it away from you. With them gone, you have no reason to keep it out of your reach. Your mind allowed you to have those memories. The insanity. Something like that anyways I would imagine." I frowned and touched my hair then, moving a few strands between my fingers. A darkness? So, it was true.... I did torture people when I was younger... and then my mother grabbed me from my brother's crib.... I looked towards Laurence sharply then.

"So, it wasn't just lying to us about pureblood secrets... it was more than that," I muttered and pulled my hand away from my hair. Who the hell would do stuff like this to their children? They were evil monsters. And they got what they deserved. "I'm going to be seeing it again, aren't I?" I clenched my jaw then and folded my hands in my laps, watching Laurence. I shouldn't leave the castle if that's the case. I could end up with more than a werewolf bite next time if I'm in the open and vulnerable with a splitting headache. I need to get to the bottom of this, and if Laurence is telling me the truth, would it really be wrong to open that door and see what's behind it? To see just how powerful, I can be? Even if I tortured people....

"I don't see why you shouldn't face some old memories. Victor, the past does not change who you are now though, and you are forbidden to forget that you are who you are now and who you chose to become... not what you were." I nodded then relaxed a little.

"Alright Laurence.... I'll let it see where it takes me next time," I whispered then gave him a small smile. "We'll see what happens." I laughed at that then smirked. "At least our parents got what they deserved."

"Only because of your friends you were able to make the world right. Don't let this event fool you into becoming like your parents and start taking control over simple things like they did. Not everything needs a punishment for. Hopefully the first meeting of the royals will be an agreeance of rights and not wrongs." I watched him then nodded before I gave a slight purr.

"I'll remember your advice- and if I don't, you can drag me back here and remind me," I teased and gave a playful smirk. He smirked and lifted up his wolf-lore. Mayloi purred at his side then jumped up onto Laurence's chest, picking up his head high. I eyed the book over then looked at him. "Why are you reading wolf-lore?"

"I thought I would catch up on the latest facts since we have one in the castle. I had a servant bring me this. Not all my information I know is delivered through my mind... sometimes I like to learn it on my own instead of just knowing it. Check this out~ There is a myth that they worship the moon." He turned the book and pointed to a drawing of a wolf howling at the moon. I glanced it over then nodded.

"I would imagine so.... I think Luuna said something about a moon goddess," I told him then watched as Mayloi leapt over the book and raced towards Laurence's feet.

"Yes. The moon is their goddess." Laurence glanced towards his feet before curling his toes up quickly. Mayloi tackled his feet through the blanket and started to chew at it, giving a small growl. Laurence frowned and brought his feet up and moved to sitting criss crossed. "I don't know who their god would be though..." He trailed off as he turned the pages back to him.

"Maybe their goddess doesn't have a god with her," I suggested. "She could be like our fate. She doesn't have a god with her." Mayloi sneezed then looked at how Laurence was sitting before he lowered himself to the bed with a mischievous look and started to stalk up towards him as his body rocked back and forth slowly with his weight shifting from paw to paw. I held back a laugh as I watched them.

"That's a great idea. Single," he purred out to me as he watched Mayloi. I nodded as Mayloi narrowed his eyes a little, fluttering his wings before he reached Laurence and sped up. He jumped up into his lap then and got on his hind legs, flaring out his wings with a playful roar. "Don't forget her dress," Laurence told me as he rubbed Mayloi on the top of his head.

"Yeah, I'll ask Val," I purred then watched as Mayloi collapsed onto his belly with a loud purr, small wisps of smoke leaving his body as he sighed happily. He fluttered his wings and curled up into a tight ball as he leaned his head into Laurence's hand with a pleased look. Laurence laughed and waved me off.

"Enjoy tonight," he told me. He picked Mayloi up and gave him a small kiss on the top of his head. Mayloi squealed in happiness then, curling his claws around Laurence's fingers and moving his body around Laurence's hands and wrists. Laurence smirked and laid down, placing the book on the nightstand and Mayloi on his chest. I laughed then got to my feet as Mayloi started up with his purring again, nuzzling his head against Laurence as he stretched out then closed his eyes in happiness as he got a spot on his neck and melted. "Goodnight," Laurence whispered to us and placed his hands down on his stomach. Smirking, I gave him a nod and walked up, adjusting the blanket on him with a wink before I walked towards the door.

"Goodnight Laurence. Good luck with your little dragon. He looks excited, not tired," I teased him.

"He'll settle down," Laurence promised and glanced towards Mayloi. I glanced back at them and watched as Mayloi rolled onto his back and kicked his paws up at the air. Laurence smirked as he watched him and tsked. I laughed then widened my eyes as Mayloi slipped off the bed and fell to the ground, hitting it with a thud.

"Whoops," I purred, watching as Mayloi shook his head and slowly got to his paws then raced under the bed with a snarl. Laurence frowned and placed an arm over his eyes.

"Mayloi!" He yelled out. Mayloi quickly came back from under the bed and looked up at him before he growled a little then ran away from the bed a little then ran towards it, leaping up onto it with the help of his wings. He looked the bed over before he ran over to Laurence obediently and curled up on his chest, watching him expectantly. Laurence took his arm off before smacking out the candlelight. I laughed a little then walked out to let Laurence rest. I stretched then walked towards Val's room and knocked on it when I reached it.

"Oh Val! I need to borrow one of your dresses for my wolf!"

"WHAT!? Those dresses are very sacred to me! I don't want a wolf to smell one up... I can give her a dress though to have instead of borrowing. Come in." I heard her footsteps echoing in the room. I went in then and looked her room over, spotting Alex reading on the couch in the candlelight. He looked up at me sharply then exposed his fangs, eyeing me over. Val's movements were coming from another side room now. She walked out with a white dress and held it out to me. I frowned as I saw it then took it from her.

"Why white? That's a bit innocent for a murderous she-wolf that tried to eat me in the street," I told her and held the dress close to me.

"What!? You don't like the color? I thought it was fine. I could choose a pink one." I looked the dress over and thought it through then shook my head.

"White is fine. She'll look beautiful in it," I purred and looked at her. "Thank you, Val. Oh- she has an infected bite on her neck. Do you know anything that could help her? She needs to see someone about it. It looks bad."

"Why don't you ask Laurence for one of his house doctors?" She asked me. "I'm not sure I could get the herbs necessary to make a healing potion for her." I nodded.

"I'll ask Laurence in the morning for one of his doctors to fix it," I told her then looked her over before I froze, spotting the little boy behind her with a smirk on his face. His little fangs exposed at me and he grinned at me.

"I'll search their garden tomorrow for any herbs I can use to help," Val told me and gave a soft smile. "I'm sure Laurence has something." I nodded slowly.

"Yes... do that for me," I whispered, watching the boy behind her. He started to hum my mother's lullaby and started for me slowly. "I'm going to go," I told her quickly, getting a little creeped out by the look on his face. I know Laurence told me to embrace it, but....

"Remember she's still a lady so don't go forcing her into awful things," Val hissed at me. I looked back at her quickly then before I nodded, gripping the dress tighter as I teleported to my bedroom and looked around.

"Viiiictoooor~!" I heard the boy call for me again. I clenched my jaw before I walked towards the bathroom door.

"Luuna, I have a dress for you," I called out, knocking on the door quickly.

"Don't run," the voice purred right behind me again. "I want to wake you up~"

"Thank you, you can come in and sit it down with your eyes shut. Don't you dare look this way," Luuna warned me. I opened the door and walked in, setting it down on a table near the tub.

"Luuna, I want to talk to you when you're done," I told her, keeping my eyes on the dress as I did my best to keep them from wandering towards her in the tub.

"About?" She asked me.

"Something I spoke about with Laurence. If you're going to be my companion, then you need to know too," I said and glanced her way before I tensed. Whoops. I heard her let out a small growl before splashing water at me.

"No. Looking. This. Way. Just get out and we can talk about it when I'm done here." I purred then and laughed.

"I've already seen you though," I teased her and exposed my fangs. "Want to feel what it's like to be bit by a vampire? It's a lot nicer than a wolf bite."

"You keep those jaws away from me or I'll give you a mark you'll never forget," she warned me.

"You already did though," I said and smirked, coming closer to the tub with a playful growl. She growled and yanked the towel close to her body before getting out of the tub and grabbed the dress.

"Turn around," she told me. I turned around and crossed my arms, taking a deep breath. I heard her shuffle around as she dried off then slipped into the dress.

"White means purity," she whispered. "Innocence." She walked past me then and opened the doors to the room. "Like the moon." I watched her then widened my eyes, taking in the sight of her in the dress. She's really pretty like that. She walked up to the couch and sat down on it, crossing her legs. She eyed me over then and gave a small smile. I walked out of the bathroom then and glanced around before I walked over to the couch and sat down beside her. Pulling her into my lap, I wrapped my arms around her waist and looked her in the eyes then looked around the room once more- not seeing him.

"Luuna... the night you attacked me... I was seeing things," I whispered then looked back at her. "All of the vampires in this castle have undergone a lot. We all killed our parents and fought a war to get rid of them because of what they did to us and what we needed in our lives. They wanted to rule over us... and mine did something to me a long time ago. I may not be right in the head." She eyed me over and frowned before placing her hands against my chest.

"Would you kill me?" She asked. "Later... If I stay with you?" I shook my head quickly.

"No," I told her then brushed her hair behind her ear. "I won't kill you. You're safe with me." I rested my hand against the side of her cheek and watched her. "Laurence- he sees the future- says that it's because of my parents messed with my head when I was younger... and it's trying to surface because they locked it away from me. I've been seeing vague memories of my early childhood lately, and a little me has been following me around too. He was in here a few moments ago."

"You know..." She trailed off. "I think I remember seeing a little you in my wolf form. I was going to ask if it was your younger brother." She gave a small smile. "Wolves can pick up on emotions," she explained. "The gifted ones," she whispered. I widened my eyes a little then looked at her before I laughed in shock. She saw him too?

"Well that takes a load off my shoulders. You've seen it too," I told her and laughed. "He wants to show me more...."

"No, you want to know more." She eyed me over. "He's not a separate being. You're the same. That's a bundle of your emotions and thoughts wanting to get lose. Your mind is wanting to tell you something in its own way." She rubbed my head and gave a small smile. I nodded then looked her in the eyes before I found myself leaning in as I put my head against her shoulder and looked at the bite on her neck.

"We're going to get your bite checked out tomorrow," I murmured to her.

"It's fine," she told me calmly. "It's nothing."

"It's infected," I grumbled, narrowing my eyes at the bite. "It's not fine."

"It will be when it heals," she told me.

"I don't care. I'm letting a doctor look at it," I hissed. "If you're going to be my companion, I'm going to have you taken care of, and you're going to be the healthiest I can make you." I exposed my fangs and scrapped them against her neck, pulling her closer. She growled at me before shoving my chest against the back of the couch.

"Watch it," she warned. I looked at her, keeping my fangs exposed as I watched her.

"Let a doctor look at it," I told her as I met her eyes. "I'm not going to let you get sick."

"Fine," she grumbled and moved out of my lap to sit by me. "I'll let a doctor eye it over." I nodded then rubbed her cheek before I let my fangs unsharpen.

"Good...." I looked her bite over and frowned before I scooped her off the couch and took her towards the bed and laid her down on it. She eyed over the bed before leaning in and smelled it before looking up at me.

"It's not hay," she whispered and giggled. I laughed and shook my head.

"No, it's not hay," I told her then smirked. "It's my bed with my scent, little wolf." She nodded and closed her eyes, looking pleased to be in the bed. I smirked and tugged the blankets around her. I leaned down and moved her hair out of her face before I got in the bed with her and stretched out. She looked towards me before frowning.

"I thought I said you were on the rug," she teased. "Just keep your distance." I smirked at her then.

"I'm warm though. Wouldn't you like some warmth, Ms. Looking for a Companion?"

"I think I'm warmer than you.... Cold one." She turned over then and let her foot hang off the edge of the bed.

"Okay, you got me there, but I smell great," I teased her and yanked her closer to me with a playful growl. I leaned in towards her ear, letting my breath hit it playfully. She yelped and clung to the bed sheets.

"No! I barely know you and I just wanted a friend companion. Keep your distance from me before I end up having cubs during mating season cebause of you." I laughed then.

"Mating season?" I asked her and gave a small growl in her ear, messing with her. I probably shouldn't, but it's too great to pass up.

"Back up or I'll bite you again," she warned.

"Luuna," I muttered and loosened up on my grip slightly. "I'm not going to mate with you."

"If you're telling the truth, then don't try anything," she warned. "I'm just wanting a friend companion." I purred and nodded, but I kept my arms around her as I leaned my head against the pillows and closed my eyes. She grabbed my arms and slowly pushed them off before sliding towards the edge of the bed. I opened my eyes and looked towards her before I smirked. I'm going to have to train her to stay in my arms, aren't I? I grabbed her again and yanked her back to me with a purr. She yelped and squirmed in my arms. She gave me a frustrated growl and leaned in towards my neck to bite me. I gave a sharp growl and exposed my fangs at her, watching her closely.

"Your bite kills," I reminded her. She backed off and sighed.

"Then you should remember that," she told me. I frowned at her before I leaned over and went towards her neck to give her a fright. She yelped and squirmed out of my arms quickly and fell off into the floor. I heard her get up and walk off towards the bathroom. I teleported over to her then and wrapped my arms around her waist from behind.

"Where are you going?" I teased her then led her back to the bed, laying her down in it. I moved the blankets around her and let my fangs unsharpen as I watched her.

"I was trying to get away from those," she told me and pointed towards my teeth. "Plus, I like to sleep on the edge of the bed." She wrapped up in the blanket and closed her eyes. I nodded then got in on the other side of her before I stretched out.

"Alright, so be it," I purred softly to her.

"Want to hear a story?" She asked.

"Sure... you promised me one in the bath," I told her then looked over at her.

"Don't fall asleep on me," she teased.

"I won't," I teased back and smirked as I moved a little closer to mess with her. "You look really good in that dress by the way, Luuna. I didn't compliment you earlier."

"Thank you. It's not a color I would normally wear," she admitted. I nodded and purred.

"It's a good color on you though. You should wear it more often," I told her then reached over, touching her hair curiously. "Tell me the story."

"About the wolf and the lamb?" She asked curiously.

"Yes, tell me a story," I purred as I brought my hand back from her. "You promised me."

"Okay. Once upon a time... there was a hungry wolf. The big bad wolf. He was known to bring ruin upon anyone he stumbled across... like the crane.... a girl in red.... or poor little pigs. He was very smart. So, he sniffed his way to his next meal... a flock of sheep." I nodded and leaned my head against the pillow as I watched her then smirked as I reached out and slowly dragged her back to me. She blushed and pressed her hands against my chest. "The wolf came up with a clever scheme. When all the sheep were sleeping, he snuck in quietly... but he didn't want to just take his food and leave. He wanted to make a game of this. So he woke up a little lamb and quietly took it to the side of the flock. 'Oh, little lamb... You must follow me and I can show you some fun,' the wolf told the lamb, wanting to trick the lamb. With the lamb being so small... he agreed to follow the wolf out of pure innocence. The wolf led the lamb off towards the farmer's house and snuck into the chicken coop with him. 'What's fun is this.... walk up to the chicken coop and go inside. As soon as you're in, spook them with your voice. It's fun,' the wolf told the little lamb.... and the lamb did as tell. He snuck into the chicken coop, and once inside with the hens, he let out a bah. A loud one. All the hens were spooked and begun to cry out and leave. The wolf snuck in behind the sheep and grabbed one of the eggs then crushed it and licked the lamb on the mouth with his dirty lips. Getting some of the egg on him. The wolf could hear the farmer coming so he left the sheep to get caught and hid nearby. The farmer found the sheep at the scene of the crime and brought him back to the flock of sheep... but he was angry and vowing to kill the lamb if it did another thing wrong." I frowned a little and nodded. What kind of bedtime story is this for young werewolf cubs?

"It's a good story, but why do you tell your cubs these kinds of stories?" I asked her and rubbed her back.

"It teaches wolves lessons," she explained. "Plus, it gives them dreams of something to chase as exercises to teach them to hunt." She shrugged. "I'm not done with the story." I smirked then.

"We'll continue~ I'm not asleep yet." I winked at her and leaned in towards her neck playfully. She leaned away from my neck and gave me a warning look.

"Anyways... The next night the wolf returned to the sleeping lamb and took him aside from the sheep. 'Was that fun, little sheep?' The wolf asked the lamb. 'Until I got caught by the farmer,' the lamb told the wolf. 'Well... I have another fun thing for us to do tonight! Follow me,' the wolf took the lamb towards the barn where the pigs were sleeping with their piglets. 'This is going to be just as fun as the chicken coop. Go inside and take a piglet for us to play with,' the wolf urged. Again... the sheep done as told and brought a sleeping piglet to the wolf." I laughed then, seeing where this was going. The wolf was going to eat the piglet and stain the lamb's white wool red. Smirking, I wrapped my arms around her and purred. "The wolf woke up the piglet. 'Little pig, we're going to play a game. You run. We chase you. Don't get caught,' the wolf warned and gave a small growl. The little pig started to run then, squealing over the game. The wolf urged the sheep to follow the pig. When the sheep was chasing the pig, he went after both but cut both off by taking a short cut. He caught the pig and bit down into it. The pig squealed loud enough to wake up the farmer. So, the wolf sat the piglet down. 'I didn't mean to bite so hard,' the wolf explained before tsking and looking at the sheep. 'You're going to die if you get caught with the pig. You better do something fast about it giving you away.' The wolf ran off then as he heard the farmer coming. He hid nearby and watched as the sheep tried to quiet the pig while getting blood all over it's white wool. When the farmer arrived, he was disgusted by the scene and quickly took the piglet from the lamb. He took a blade to the sheep's throat that night and killed the little lamb. The wolf came out of the shadows and walked up to the farmer with a hungry and poor look. The farmer gave the corpse to the wolf and begged it to leave. The wolf took the lamb off into the woods and ate it with a small laugh from his little game. The lamb tasted better tricked." I frowned a little at her but nodded. No wonder why her twin was screwed up. Her parents told her bad stories about wolves to their own cubs.

"I don't think you should tell those stories to cubs," I told her and tsked. "Those stories don't carry good messages for wolves."

"What? I think they do. They're nice stories." She turned away from me then. "Get some sleep."

"It was about trickery," I purred and kept my arms around her, making her stay close.

"I thought it was about getting a nice meal," she told me. I laughed then. That's interesting. I guess she could think about it like that.

"You could think about it like that," I told her and laughed. Vampires are no better. We constantly trick everyone around us. I leaned my face into her neck and gave a playful growl. "Vampires are tricky too~" She let out a small growl.

"Don't place your head there!" She squirmed in my arms quickly. I scrapped my sharp fangs against her skin before I bit in and tightened my arms around her waist. She yelped and brought her knee up and between my legs quickly. I yelped then took my fangs out in shock as I let go and gripped my manhood.

"Luuna!" I snarled and looked at her as I curled up in pain. What the hell?! I winced and buried my face into the bed before I growled and turned away from her, easing myself over to protect myself from any more harm. That was uncalled for! She moved away from me then and snatched the covers away from me.

"I warned you," she told me.

"You didn't have to knee me like that! It's not like I was going to do anything!" I clenched my jaws then gripped the covers, yanking some of it back onto me.

"Oh really? That's why you bit me?" She snatched the covers back and growled. "You're in trouble." I sat up and looked towards her before I narrowed my eyes.

"You're in trouble," I hissed back to her. She widened her eyes and got out of bed quickly. I teleported in front of her and snatched her up before I pushed her onto the bed then got in beside her. She yelped and curled up in the covers quickly, yanking them over her head. I rolled my eyes and relaxed in the bed, closing them as I kept quiet. I'll see about getting her a room tomorrow. Laurence won't mind. She moved towards the edge of the bed again and curled up on it. "Good night," I told her firmly. She kept quiet, ignoring me. "Luuna," I hissed slightly.

"What?" She asked and gave a slight growl.

"Don't be afraid of me. I told you I wouldn't kill you. We're companions, not enemies," I told her firmly. "Unless you'd rather go attack another helpless person in the streets." Maybe she'll calm down if I get her a human to bite. "I'll get you a human. You can bite that person and turn them."

"You're my companion though...." She trailed off and sniffled. I frowned and opened my eyes, looking towards her.

"Are you okay?" I asked her softly and sat up, getting concerned. She's crying....

"You're my companion. Don't throw me away." She whined and curled up. I widened my eyes then moved over to her, moving her head into my lap as I started to run my fingers through her hair.

"I'm not throwing you away," I whispered comfortingly to her. "I'm your companion- promise." Oh Hell... I didn't mean to make her cry. She sniffled and started to quiet down. I purred to her softly and smiled. "I won't give you a human to turn if it makes you that upset.... You'll stay with me for as long as you want to." I hugged her then and gently kissed the top of her head to comfort her. "You're my wolf." She nodded and turned into her wolf form before slipping out of the dress and curled up in my lap. I rubbed her head and smiled before I laughed and kissed the top of her head. "I never fed you yet.... Are you hungry?" I asked and smelled her fur. Her fur still smelled like the earth but was a little cleaner.

"No... I'm not hungry. I can hunt anyways if I do get hungry." I nodded and laid back in the bed, moving her on top of me as I rubbed her sides to pet her fur.

"Okay... I'll get you steak tomorrow," I told her then laughed, watching her before I tapped her nose. "Want it raw or cooked?" She growled playfully before moving out of the bed and went to a window and glanced outside of it. I watched her then purred. "What are you doing silly? Come back to bed." She was warm... really warm. She wagged her tail before looking towards me.

"I want to go out for a run," she told me. I frowned and sat back up, watching her.

"For a run?" I asked then sighed, getting to my feet. "I'll get you outside...." I walked over then picked her up, teleporting her to the garden. As I sat her down, I took a seat on a nearby bench and crossed my legs. She ran off then into the woods and let out a howl. She better come back. I tsked and looked towards the woods before I sighed and got to my feet, going to go inside.

"GRAWR!" I heard a small voice yell out before I felt a small dragon land on me that was maybe Mayloi's size. Yet... it was a girl's voice. "BAYLORIK!" I yelped and looked down at her.

"L-LAUREEEEENCE!" I screamed, going to shake her off. I heard Baylorik roar from inside the castle. I heard Luuna growl before she tackled me and bit down into the dragon, yanking it off me. The dragon spit fire before biting into Luuna and suddenly Luuna dropped quickly. I widened my eyes then snarled.

"Hey! What the hell did you do?!" I went for the dragon but she was snatched off Luuna rather quickly as Baylorik stood in his human form, looking down at her with narrowed eyes as he cradled her in his hands.

"Divya," he said and watched her.
