Chapter 37 - Childhood Crush!

Isla Margaret was in shock too. She never expected to meet her wrath again. At least not when she was able to make him fall for her.

"What are you doing here?" Isla shouted not caring about the reputation she illuminated everyone with.

"Well, " Shrugging her shoulders, Mia smirked.

"You! Stop instigating me." Isla yelled. Mia's simple actions were enough for her blood to boil.

"Did I?" Mia pouted.

"Argh, will you stop acting?" Isla barged towards her only to be blocked by Ian.

"Ian I mean Alex, why the hell she is here?" Isla clung to his shirt.

Ian frowned. It was the third time in a row she was using Ian and this would be her last warning. After all, his feisty queen was back and only she had the right to use Ian including his family.

"Argh, PDA." Mia shook her head.

"Uncle, Aunty I am sorry but I am not trained to act fake so please bare me and my vicious mouth."

Charlotte nodded with a smile while Felix gave a thumbs up.

"I wish I had some popcorns." Kiara mumbled. They all were waiting for this moment. The whole Finn family admired Mia a lot except Noah.

"Mister, can you please move away. It's a woman to woman talk, so, " Mia crossed her arms only to earn a cute smile from him.

He walked and sat beside Charlotte.

"So, where were we?" Mia caressed her chin.

"Why are you here?" Isla glared.

"To steal your childhood crush." Mia blinked innocently.

Everyone controlled their laugh while Ian was on cloud nine.

It was the talk of the town how close Margeret's were with Finn family. But what more interesting was the rumours of Ian and Isla being childhood crushes and were about to wed.

There were water armies and people shipping and adoring the couple. But their boat would never sail was the actual truth.

"YOU."

"What? You have turned so fake that you can't even tolerate jokes now." Mia shook her head in dismay.

"You are the one who is fake. Not me."

"Ohh, yeah. Walking all around the city with a fake tag of 'The next First lady of the country' is of course me."

"You! I never said that. Those all are just rumours." Isla burst out but the fear on her face was a clear witness.

"Oops, Paid rumours maybe?" Mia smirked.

"You! Stop spouting nonsense and answer my question. Weren't you a City B resident? What are you doing here?" Isla turned the tables.

"Huh, yeah let's get to the point."

"I am not what you think. That identity was fake. I am not the daughter of some A-class businessman in city B. That was you know spilt out just for privacy and safety."

"I don't care who you are. Tell me why are you here?"

"Baby, calm down. I need to clear everything so that you don't again Slander me again for being what I shouldn't be."

"You are just lying. When did I slander you? I am not like you."

"Ignoring for words, let me continue, "Blowing air on her fingers tips, she continued,

"All that has happened in the show, between us is all in the past and I am Mia Brown. You might have heard the name after all you belong to one of the elite families." Mia smirked.

Isla turned pale. Mia Brown, the daughter of great general, the ruler of their country's military world, Steven Brown and sister of the legendary CEO, Mervin Brown. Mia's words hit her pride. Even though her family was prominent, how could she compare to the Brown Empire? She heard rumours of Brown's, Hanson's and Finns having close ties but she never visualized her love rival would be one from that dangerous family.

"And I will be staying here for a month or two. My dada as strictly warned me to not disclose the reason to outsiders. So, " Mia shrugged her shoulders. Her words were poisonous enough to turn her numb.

"Listen Isla whatever you are, " Her calm expression turned fierce,

"It's all in the past. I was too naive that time and I agree, I bullied you a lot as a reaction to your actions. But now, I am not interested in you or your love business. So don't dare to involve me and let me be in peace or else you will be at your worse"

Even though Isla was still digesting her real identity, she comprehended and glared back at her,

"Same goes for you."

...

Everything went back to normal.

"Aunty, I brought some gifts for you." Isla smiled and asked a maid to bring them from her car.

"Thank you so much, dear. But it wasn't necessary."

Isla just smiled and looked at Mia who was busy talking with her new friend, Uncle Felix.

"Dada used to always mention your friendly camps when we were young. He used to see your small gang in us." Mia replied to Felix who was all ears.

"Yeah yeah, I remember. You guys really take us back to our olden days."

"You know, Darling," Turning towards Charlotte, he continued,

"These kids have a small gang. They all look so good and cute, I can't explain in words. I still remember my one week stay with them when Mia was just four and Hmm, that Ryan is the big one of all, I think."

Mia was really pleased with his carefree nature. She still had glimpses of their first meet. Felix was still being trained for the president's position and now even after being at the highest position, he didn't have any bogus pride or superiority around him. More of all, what she loved was talking about her gang.

"Yes, he is our gang leader."

The conversation continued all noon and everyone surrounding them were truly being ignored.

"Your father looks happy today." Charlotte whispered looking at her husband.

Ian nodded with a smile. His life was just getting beautiful and happier than ever.

...

"Uncle, you need to rest now. We really talked a lot." Mia helped him get up.

"Yes Yes, this old man needs some rest now. Tomorrow, I will take you to our penthouse. We can fish and enjoy a lot there." He beamed in excitement.

"Dear, it's time to rest." Charlotte walked with concern all over her face.

"I will bring your tablets. Kiara, accompany your father. Isla its quite late you need to leave too." Charlotte said with a smile.

Isla nodded and tugged Ian's hand.

"Alex, drop me. It's still 4 pm and since you are on leave, we can visit our favourite restaurant too."

Before he could reject, Mia shrieked,

"Uncle, are you fine?" Felix was breathing heavily and only Mia noticed it.

He nodded supporting himself on the couch.

He got up and felt dizzy.

"UNCLE."

Mia was fast and rushed to support him followed by Ian.
