Chapter 38 - Possessive Kitten!

"What's wrong?" Mia looked at the doctor and his team.

"It's nothing. He is just a little tired." Charlotte interpreted but her words didn't match her expression.

"Aunty, why do I feel you are hiding something?" Mia looked worried.

"Uncle is suffering from Leukemia. And today with all your long chats you made him feel dizzy." Isla who was still nosing around scowled.

"Can't you just shut your mouth for a minute?" Kiara scolded.

Felix wanted to hide it from his friends and it was accepted with the way all of them bonded all these decades.

"It's ok. I won't tell dada." Mia held Charlotte's hands.

Surprised by her sudden words, Charlotte looked at her.

"I can understand Aunty. Dada and Uncle have been friends from decades and it's totally understandable why he wants to hide it."

Kiara and Charlotte got emotional.

Hugging her tightly, Charlotte burst out.

"We always wanted him to share it but he is stubborn. I hope you won't, "

"No, Aunty. It's ok. I won't misunderstand, I can feel what uncle might be going through. So it's completely ok. If dada was in place he would have acted in a similar way."

Wiping out her tears, she mumbled,

"Ahh, stop crying, my dear Goddess. Beauties like you won't cry at least in front of their fans like me. Ohh my poor heart, " Smacking her hand, Charlotte chuckled with a blush.

"Hehe, you stand on your tag. Super flirtatious." Kiara added.

The red tomato which was fuming in anger was being ignored adding fuel to the fire.

'I should have been in your place, not you. Stop snatching my place.' Isla was compelling it with her glare.

...

"So his condition is bizarre?" Mia asked in concern.

The doctor sighed deeply, "Blood tissues are denaturing day by day."

"Is it AML(1)?" Mia asked.

The doctor nodded and continued,

"He is in M6(2) right now. We tried everything from transplant to therapies and meds but, "

"Three years if I am not wrong with BMT(3)?"

"Yes. We detected it long before the symptoms got severed so we could hold him these many days."

"His age is around fifty-five so, " Mia sighed deeply. As a doctor, she knew the possible outcome.

Leukaemia patients mainly diagnosed with AML type, a five-year free survival rate was about just 25%. Mia only wished to be a god or goddess right now. Only if he could hold him back!

...

With a cup of coffee, Mia walked towards the grandstand on the first floor. It was round and big enough with a couch in the middle for people to chill. Over it was a half Oval arc restricting the sunlight in the chilling area.

Since it was night, the stars were blinking but the moon of her life looked dark and upset.

Looking at the sky, he was busy in his own thoughts unknown of the golden eyes which were ogling with concern.

"Will you mind sitting or want to continue hurting those crying legs." She sat on the couch.

With a smile, he turned around and walked towards the couch.

As soon as he sat, she passed the cup.

"Dad is, "

"I know." She cut him off.

He sighed deeply. Taking a sip, he mumbled,

"Forgot to add sugar?"

Mia blinked in confusion and replied,

"I don't know. Is it sugarless?"

He shrugged and passed the cup, she sipped and glared at him.

"Idiot, it is perfect."

"Is it?" She nodded passing the cup back.

He sipped and smiled,

"Sorry, it's fine now. I was lost in some thought."

She frowned.

"Weird as always." She shook her head and he continued his drink.

Mia, of course, was a dumbo when came to love and sweet gestures, so his action was weird for her.

"It's been 3 years and 6 months. He is truly a warrior."

His sudden conversation made her sigh. She was quiet and patiently listened to him.

"Our country had a great president after so many years and all he could rule was for 6 years."

"Huh, you mean your grandfather wasn't great?"

"He was but dad as left his own mark." He sighed.

Patting his shoulder, she commented,

"Don't worry, you will do good. After all, you have his genes."

He smiled but frowned the next moment.

"You mean I don't have capabilities?"

"Of course, I didn't mean that."

She continued,

"It's just your brain is useless. If not you being uncle's son, I would have rebelled at the decision of An idiot being our next president."

She smirked. Ohh yes, she so missed irritating him and poking his anger.

But his chuckle surprised her.

"You still possess the ability to crack lame jokes." He commented while sipping his coffee.

She glared at him. She wanted to so badly pounce him and hit him, but they were not the same. After all, it has been years after the show.

Silence prevailed.

He rested his head on her shoulder which made her widen her eyes.

"You promised to take our relationship forward even after the show, didn't you?"

'Ohh, God. All I wished was you to delay this question. But seems like you really wanna kill me.' She glared at the bright sky.

'Let's just be honest.' She thought.

With a deep sigh, she spoke up,

"I was sticking to it even after ditching you in between the show. But, "

He held his breath to listen to her answer.

"You fucking won the show with her and you except me still stick to my decision."

He controlled his laugh. Even though she had moulded herself into feisty queen now, she was still the same, possessive kitten.

"And to add up, "

"I was just 19 and I now feel like it was just infatuation. To be honest I feel like I never had feelings for you as it was just one month."

Her words jabbed his joyous heart.

"I wanted to try to reach you, contact you just to finalise what I really felt towards you by spending more time with you, but, "

She sighed deeply.

"Everything was so crazy around me that I forgot about love, feelings blah blah and everything."

Once she quit the show, all of a sudden with a later, the main reason was Xavier.

He had overpowered the clan with his commendable success in almost all missions and her heart was more towards being the best assassin ever in the whole Han Clan. That was the only reason which held her back from approaching him as she knew the destructions her goal may face.

"What if I want to start again from scratch?" His question made her heart skip a beat.

He was waiting for a yes and she was conflicting with her own demons.
