Chapter 95 - EPISODE 95: Strongest of Them All*

I have been running in a scattered way, run, hide, rinse repeat. Now my heart beats like it's meant to explode, and my mind is a shattered glass. I sense the presence of someone ought to kill me. He or she is lurking somewhere, somewhere behind perhaps?

I continue to jolt, not knowing where I am heading to. All I know is the further I run the deeper I go, the more chance of triggering my asthma again.

I reach another cavern, wherein I stumble across a stone blocking my path. I fall, hitting my head to the ground. Due to this, my eyesight starts to glitch as if I'm shaking my head all the time.

Laying on the ground, I pause for a moment in order for my burning lungs to relax. Oxygen is its food, however, I am afraid I'm in the very chasms of the cave, a place where oxygen is a diamond.

I look to my left, and hell did I find out that I've stumbled upon a freaking Geodude. Geodudes are rocks but with arms, eyes, and mouths. Actually, its whole evolutionary line is made out of rocks.

"Who are you little one? The first of any human to trample upon my chamber." A voice from the right speaks in a weird robotic manner. I tilt my head to the right however nothing is in sight.

I then feel a sudden gust hitting my body as if a Pokemon is flying or leaping from somewhere. I ignore the voice and pursue to stand from the ground.

"A tenacious being. What is your purpose here?" The voice echoes to the chambers of the cavern. My flashlight then dies, succumbing me to the darkness and twilight of the Cerulean Cave.

I could barely see anything, except for two sharp eyes, painted with the hues of the skies. It continues to stare at me, and I too, stare back at it.

"I am agent Luna Evergreen of the Team Rocket Organization, surrender now or prepare to fight," I shout, fighting my intimidated spirit with courage.

"So, you have come to bargain with me?" The Pokemon continues to echo. I could hear its footsteps slowly sauntering to me.

"Mewtwo." I murmur, realizing that the Pokemon I've been talking to is no other than the strongest of them all, Mewtwo.

"You will not defile this place. It does not belong to you, any more than I do. This place has given me a new life. Now, I shall use all of my power to defend it!" Mewtwo growls. I could see its eyes starting to float above the ground. With its arms, Mewtwo disperses the darkness, bringing light to the whole cavern.

I then feel a sudden wind, hitting me in the side. Slowly, I tilt my head, and that is when me and Mewtwo locked eyes at each other. Seeing it less than an inch away from me, I step back four times.

"I am not here to take what is yours but to take you, a monster made by the works of humanity." With determination, I speak, preparing to throw the Rocket Master Ball at Mewtwo.

"You invade this pristine world... Claiming it as your own simply by your presence.

You slaughter innocent men for vengeance and Pokemons for feasts... You devastate the landscape and gouge out the Earth to build your monuments to vanity... and yet you call me the monster?" Mewtwo mumbles, slowly advancing to me. Hearing her words, have left me with an expressionless face and a speechless mouth.

"I have learned to accept the fact humans are my father but my question was never answered. For what cause, was I created?"

"To save the world, to help humanity become a better version of themselves. With your power, the world will never suffer." I decide to interrogate with Mewtwo and place the Master Ball back to my pocket.

"The accumulated filth will look up and shout, "save us!" and I will look down, and whisper, "no." We, the Pokemons have been here before you, therefore we own this planet yet you claim it as your own.

With our power, you save yourselves, but what about us? The species who fought for yours." Mewtwo's tone starts to intensify as it floats to the sky with boulders surrounding its body. With one command, the boulders are sent towards me.

With maximum velocity, I dodge the rocks and toss out the master ball right away. It touches Mewtwo, causing it to become a beam of light as it enters the Master Ball.

It is as though as time stopped. I stare to the Master Ball with a heart beating in a rapid-face. Sweat flows like a downpour, as my inner self begs for Mewtwo to be caught.

"Fool!" Mewtwo escapes! Bringing wrath and anger to my eyes. The last time I check, a Master Ball has a 99% accuracy for catching a Pokemon. Why would it fail all of a sudden?!

"I guess it's time to use my Pokemons then. Kirl-" I was about to throw out my first Pokemon to attack Mewtwo when unexpectedly a hook pierces through its body from behind. Strange for coincidently, it is the same hook that pierced the shard back during my lunch period.

"Argh!" Mewtwo screams with pain as the hook emits electricity, paralyzing Mewtwo's whole body. Three seconds later, the same type of test tube which almost killed me back in the PGC headquarters falls unto Mewtwo, trapping its paralyzed body.

"Professor Violet, I knew it! Show yourself right now." I jump into conclusions that this is the work of the professor for Team Rocket does not have such equipment. Plus, the test tube is like those of the PGC's.

What turns out to be a solo-mission is now nothing but a failure. However, if Mewtwo is the strongest Pokemon, why would it be paralyzed so easily? I have to seek for the answers. For now? It's time to finish the professor.
