Days turned into weeks, and the gloom which shrouds my mind surpasses its own limits. For almost one week, my mind was occupied with thoughts of stress and tension as I try to think about what's right.
For almost a week, I kept my self hidden from the public. As much as possible, I hesitated to turn on the television or search the current news on my rotom-phone. It will only bring me despair, knowing that the world knows about my previous actions.
Xavier and Charlotte tried their best to comfort me but I continued to flood them with ignorance just as if they were mere mirages haunting my turmoil. Giovanni's statements gave me the conclusion that my greatest enemy is myself. An internal battle between the heart and the mind.
Sometimes, I also wonder if my mother has heard about the news despite the fact that she doesn't often watch television.
"Luna, Giovanni has another mission for us," Charlotte utters with enthusiasm. She peeked down and tried to find my silhouette which was hiding in the corner of the room.
"It's better if you go on without me, I might kill someone again, or worse, end up in prison." The grief is like gasoline in my guts. My insides die slowly in the toxicity, needing no more than a spark to set it ablaze. The fire burnt me out so badly there was nothing left but a shell, an outline of a person.
"Come on, think about the bright aspect of life! At least you get to be famous right?"
"I think you're being too optimistic. I don't want to be famous for killing someone, although I also want to seek revenge for the actions of the ones who left and abused me.
Murder and Sympathy don't go together."
"Pfft! Of course, you won't kill anyone. Trust me, I'll be there to help you." And just like every other day, Charlotte leaps off her bed and grabs my hand.
After a moment in the dressing room, Charlotte proceeds to dash through Giovanni's abode with my hand on her grasp. Perhaps this mission won't be tougher than before.
"Ah, it looks like you're finally out of the shadows." Xavier teases, watching my silhouette fade as I enter the room.
"Quit it," I mutter with an unpleasant and confused look. Confused, because we aren't the only three inside the room.
It is a whole squadron of Team Rocket grunts, boasting of the organization's influential and infamous logo. Looks like Giovanni has leveled up a bit.
"Now that the squadron is complete, please listen to Matori for your upcoming mission." Giovanni takes a sip from his cup and utters while brushing his feline companion.
"Good morning agents and grunts alike. Here is your task for today:
As you can see on the screen, this is one of the PGC's laboratories. In the main compartment of the laboratory is a supercomputer containing details about Mewtwo's current location.
With this hard drive, you will gather the essential details by plugging it to the supercomputer. Return back to headquarters once the mission is complete.
Do not fail, and make Giovanni proud for the glory of not only Team Rocket, but for the glory of the whole world!" Matori enacts with an inspiring voice for success. The large screen, on the other hand, was showing valuable details about the laboratory.
"A whole squadron is required due to the laboratory's outstanding security. Hacking through the CCTV is not an option, meaning this mission will be a bit chaotic, but that is only a small price to pay for success isn't it?" Giovanni adds with his cunning smile.
Before the mission commenced, the rocket motto has been dictated loudly, producing one voice just like a choir. Of course, if we have a squadron then the enemy has one too. What's worse is that the Pokemon Police Department is just waving at the corner.
