"Orion Kyrell"
That was his name.
It had turned out that he was my ward mate. We had became fast friends in the few weeks that I had been in the hospital.
"Do you think I will ever leave this place?"
Orion asked me. He had been here for 3 years already due to his condition. I knew that it was quite serious but that didn't stop us from discussing the possibilities.
His family would also visit him every other day and would also bring some gifts for me too. I was glad that they were kind of there for me during this time.
"Yes, of course! Everybody will have to leave eventually."
"But we just don't know when." I muttered darkly.
Orion sighed. It was rare to see him so gloomy.
"What's wrong?"
"I just want to be cured already and be out of this place!" He exclaimed.
I shrugged my shoulders and looked at him. I was kind of starting to wonder what sort of illness would need him to be kept in the hospital.
Oh well it's none of my business.
The days we spent together had been bright and sunny. I unknowingly found myself opening up to Orion even though there was still a wall around my heart.
We would sometimes play board games or chat about how the nurse had a crush on the handsome docter. We were kind of like gossipy old aunts.
I had given up on the thought of my parents ever coming back.
That was the harsh reality I had to face and swallow. Due to this incident, I was forced to grow up overnight and face the endless future without the loving warmth of parents.
Well at least I had Orion with me which made it easier to cope with.
But oh boy how wrong I was...

The very next day, I was carted off with this fat, middle-aged lady who smelled like cheese to this gloomy house that was filled with dirty children.
That was where I would spend the next 10 years cooped up at.
