Chapter 203 - Silent love

"And your hair!!? Oh my sweet mother of Jesus!!! How did you learn to do it like that?!?!?" he screamed one last time while he was directly behind Xuan.

Ying Xuan sighed. Her eyes had never left Jingyu's this whole time, and though she had at first wanted him to say something, as soon as Xuan had looked into his eyes, she didn't need that any longer.

She could easily see how beautiful he thought she looked and how much he loved her, by the way Jingyu's eyes shone and looked like puddles of melted caramel.

Ying Xuan only hoped he could see that much love in her eyes right now.

Xuan sighed as she tore away her gaze from Wei Jingyu and fixed it on Su Shaoyan, who stood with his hands on his hips, waiting for an answer.

"Well?" he asked. 'YouTube.' Xuan signed with an eye roll, which led to Shaoyan pouting and Lu Zuan bursting with laughter. "Good one Xuan." she said, "Now come on, you dumb idiot. Can't you see they want to be alone. The walk has anyway started." Zuan added, dragging Shaoyan away.

Ying Xuan threw a grateful smile in her direction before once again turning to face Wei Jingyu.

She lightly touched Jingyu's arm, hoping it would pull him out of whatever trance he was in. It seemed to do the trick as Wei Jingyu blinked like waking up from a dream and took in huge chunks of breath.

"You. . . . look absolutely . . . . . ravishing." he said, letting out huge breaths with each word.

Jingyu immediately realised what he had said as soon as the words left his mouth. "Umm . . . I l didn't mean it like that. . . . What I meant was. . . . that you look beautiful today . . . . not that you don't look beautiful everyday . . . . . . I just . . . Aghhh!!" he groaned and turned silent, looking at Xuan's face from under his eyelashes, hoping she wasn't very angry.

Jingyu heaved a sigh of relief when Xuan's face broke into an adorable smile. 'Thank you.' she signed, and continued before Wei Jingyu could say something, 'You actually look very handsome yourself. If I might say so. Like a prince out of an eighteenth century novel, not a clown.'

This sentence of her's did the trick of breaking the ice between the two as both of them chuckled, remembering Jingyu's reaction when he had seen those dresses. "Really? I look like a prince?" he said, running his hands through his hair.

Xuan frowned as she signed, 'Something's missing.' And while a very worried Wei Jingyu watched, she pulled out two yellow roses and a blue lily from a hidden pocket somewhere in her gown and put them in the chest pocket of his waistcoat.

'Perfect.' she signed, giving him a huge smile as she took a step back and admired her handiwork.

Jingyu's heart melted when he saw that smile. He closed the distance between the two of them in one huge step and wrapped his right arm around Xuan's waist before she could step back.

"Give it back." Wei Jingyu whispered in Xuan's ear, who was blushing due to their closeness, and now frowned.

"Give back my heart. The one you stole." he whispered again, just inches away from Xuan's ear.

This led to a deep crimson blush creeping on Xuan's Ash coloured face, as she tilted her head away from his lips.
