'Umm . . . Can we . . . the walk?' Ying Xuan signed with difficulty, her mind unable to form proper sentences.
"What? The walk? Oh!! Yes, the walk." Jingyu's mind took some time to process her words.
Once he did, Wei Jingyu stepped away and with a very gentlemanly smile bowed and stretched out his hand as he asked, "My I have this ramp walk? My fair lady?"
Xuan chuckled at his words and signed, 'You most certainly may.' before putting her hand in his.
Once the two reached the backstage Ying Xuan immediately got busy looking at the costumes of the other students.
She exclaimed at some of the good costumes, pointed out the parts she thought could be better, and pulled out her mobile from God knew where and began making notes about the parts of other costumes she thought were 'genius' as she called it.
While Xuan was busy with all this, Wei Jingyu looked at her with a small smile on his lips. He chuckled lightly at how excited she got when Shaoyan and Zuan went up on stage and held her from almost jumping on the stage to hug them as they came back.
While Xuan was busy mumbling something to herself and typing away rapidly on her mobile, Wei Jingyu lightly took hold of her hand. Xuan looked up as if waking from a dream and turned to him with a questioning look.
"As absurd as it sounds, you were not actually invited as a judge." he said, "I mean, can you believe the nerve of these people? No one is judging their costumes better than you are." Jingyu went on, earning a chuckle and a light punch on the arm from Ying Xuan.
"It's almost our turn now, isn't it?" he said, offering his arm to Xuan, who nodded with a smile and lightly held his arm.
What Jingyu noticed the most was how much Xuan's personality suddenly changed as she turned her head to look straight ahead. The warm smile and nerd like look vanished from her face, to be replaced by a confident smile and a strange light in her eyes.
Now that he looked at her, Wei Jingyu thought how much Xuan actually looked like a princess right now. Ready to go up for her coronation.
"Can't diminish her light now, can I?" Jingyu muttered to himself before he also looked straight ahead. And as soon as he did, all the childishness and playfulness he assumed around Xuan completely vanished.
It was replaced by the dark, brooding prince like aura Jingyu usually had, before he met Xuan, or when he was angry.
And as the two of them slowly walked on the ramp, all eyes turned to them and all the talking in the hall completely seized. All that could be heard apart from the music that slowly played in the background was the clink of Xuan's heels as she walked.
Just beside the ramp and behind the judges, Shi Weiwei stood biting her nails. She was so anxious that she almost had all of her fingers in her mouth.
"Calm down Weiwei. See, she's already doing great! She's the Ying Xuan after all." her date said, pulling her fingers out of her mouth. "I know Shao. I know! But what if something goes wrong?!?' Weiwei exclaimed, almost pulling out her hair.
