Wei Jingyu: 'I know you're two different people. It's just that... it's usual behaviour to get excited upon seeing twins. Especially identical.'
Ying Xuan: 'I guess. But it's not all walk on the clouds.'
Wei Jingyu: 'What do you mean?'
Ying Xuan: 'Nothing really.'
Wei Jingyu was a little damped by Ying Xuan. "How can a person be so nice and so distant at the same time?" He thought as he wrote another note and slid it towards Xuan.
Ying Xuan read it, 'So....can we be friends?'
Ying Xuan wrote back, 'I don't think so.'
Wei Jingyu: 'Why not?'
Ying Xuan: 'I don't make friends with arrogant people.'
Wei Jingyu: 'Your sister is arrogant.'
Ying Xuan: 'I'm not friends with her.'
Wei Jingyu was getting a frustrated by this girl's lack of emotion. She was talking like a robot. In an attempt to anger her, he wrote, 'Your sister's a lot nicer than you.'
Ying Xuan read the note and her hand holding her pen stopped for a moment before she wrote back, all the time her face betraying no emotions, 'I never said I was nice.'
Ying Xuan looked out the window again. She had regained her usual composure. She was not dumb. She could easily tell that this boy was trying to get under her skin, but he did not know that his previous childish mischief angered Xuan more than his haughty behaviour right now.
She had seen too many arrogant rich kids by now, and that was why the only friends she had made till now were Shi Weiwei and maybe Lu Zuan.
Wei Jingyu again wrote something and slid it towards Xuan. Ying Xuan took a look at it and scoffed. He had written, 'I regret sitting here.'
He had expected more of a response than a mere scoff. Anything would have been okay. She could have glared at him, punched him, or even throw the notebook back.
But Ying Xuan calmly took up her pen and wrote, 'I'm sure the teacher would not mind if you got up now.'
Wei Jingyu's temper was flared by this sentence. He had always been treated like a prince ever since he was born. He would never have to take the initiative to talk to anyone or get a girl, those things would always chase him. But this girl, looking so casually out of the window, she was the first person Wei Jingyu had made an effort to talk to in this whole damn college, and she had the guts to blow him off.
Wei Jingyu suddenly slammed the table. The whole class went silent and turned in their seats to look at him. Even the teacher seemed to be terrified. Jingyu's handsome face was dark and his brows were furrowed. Wei Jingyu stuffed his notebook in front of him in his bag and stood up. As he walked towards the door, the teacher stammered, "Yo-young master Wei... You're-you're leaving....?"
Wei Jingyu did not reply as he went out of the door and slammed the dorr behind him.
Now that one of the parties involved was gone, the whole class, including the teacher turned towards Ying Xuan. The teacher said, "Miss Ying, is everything all right?"
Ying Xuan nodded as she went back to staring out the window. All that was in her mind right now was, "I wish Weiwei was here. I'm bored."
