Chapter 29 - Strict teacher

Shi Weiwei, though was not eating, could not ignore this. She looked up at Xuan who showed her the slice of pineapple cake.

Shi Weiwei looked confused before she asked, "For me?"

Ying Xuan nodded. But as Weiwei reached out to take it, Xuan pulled it back.

Shi Weiwei pouted, "What do you want?"

Ying Xuan signed, 'Stop sulking.'

Shi Weiwei glared at Xuan before saying, "Done."

Ying Xuan still did not give her the cake, instead pushed Weiwei's tray towards her, signalling, "Finish this first."

Shi Weiwei humped before gobbling down the food quickly. Ying Xuan smiled and signalled to He Zingche, who gave a slice of strawberry cake to Xuan, who pushed both the plates to Weiwei.

Shi Weiwei looked at the two cakes, gulped, then looked at Ying Xuan and asked, "Both for me?"

Ying Xuan laughed as she ruffled Weiwei's hair. Shi Weiwei forgot all about the detention as she began chomping on the cakes.

Lu Zuan gave Ying Xuan a thumbs-up as she said, "Nice."

Ying Xuan laughed and the four had an enjoyable lunch.

The three girls all had English after lunch, so they headed to class together.

On the way, Shi Weiwei mumbled, "I hope I do not get into another detention."

Lu Zuan chuckled, "Just try to stay awake this time." She thought for a bit and then added, "But you guys do need to be careful. I heard from a senior student that the English teacher is quite strict. She will not hesitate to put you in detention if you misbehave, even if you are some big-shot."

Shi Weiwei looked a little worried as she said, "Yeah. I'll be on my best behavior. Hey Xuan, you're a lot quiet. Is something wrong?"

Ying Xuan snapped up and shook her head.

The three headed towards the class. As they entered, Ying Xuan was surprised to see there were a lot of students in the class, unlike her previous ones, where students turned up half an hour late.

Xuan walked towards the window bench on the second row and sat down. She stopped Weiwei as she was about to sit with her, and pointed to the bench behind her.

Lu Zuan and Shi Weiwei, both very puzzled, sat down behind Ying Xuan.

The class started right on time as the English teacher walked in. She was a young woman, with a fair face and hazel coloured hair.

The teacher set her book down as she introduced herself, "Hello everyone. I'm Xiao Anhao. I'll be doing my best to teach you, so I hope you'll co-operate with me."

Just then, a student opened the door and entered, a rich boy by the looks of it.

Miss Anhao turned towards the boy and said, "I'm sorry but the class has already started. And I'll not be entertaining any late-comers. So, if you'll please, leave the room, and paste this on the door while you're doing that."

She handed the boy a paper. Ying Xuan caught a glimpse of it and saw that it was written, "Class has already started, so please don't disrupt it by coming in. I'll anyway not allow you to join."

The boy looked both dejected and surprised as he left the classroom.

Miss Anhao looked at the students, "Now, how about we start the lesson. Come on, all of you. Today we'll be studying literature."
