In a peaceful island, depicting a perfect harmony of nature, the trees swayed gently, caressed by the wind and bringing an emerald wave, a pleasing view to the eyes, the waters by the beach translucent and reflecting multiple colors, even as they rippled, occasionally disturbed by the crashing waves washing ashore, but strangely there were no animals present in the entire island. A typical albeit VERY mystical island.
"Aahhhh", a wail of sorrow cut down the peaceful atmosphere and sounding like thunder. At the center of the island, a gathering of a few thousand humans could be seen. But this was not a community gathering, but a gathering of warriors, with men and even woman of small and great stature standing in battle ready positions, some had great swords, great axes, halberds, spears and even clubs drawn, and others had contracted spirits besides them, with some even only holding staffs of enchanted materials to showcase themselves as sorcerers each person radiating auras visible and strong enough to crack hills and churn rivers, by their auras alone.
Yes, these were not mere mortal men, but totem cultivators, people who had dedicated their bloodlines to gods and deities, so they could borrow the power of these deities to transcend the limits of mortal bodies and cultivate supernatural abilities.
If it was strange that all these transcendent were gathered on this discrete but mystical island, then what was even stranger was the young man in the middle of their encirclement who these many transcendent were glaring at, but dared not approach.
A young man seemingly in his late twenties with a build of a warrior , having lean but corded muscles like a fierce tiger, dressed in a leather pants and jackets as black as coal, to compliment his ebony skin, as his head full of long locked hair was bowed, he radiated manliness even more with his height of about 7ft.
But he was still smaller if compared to some people in the crowd who stood at over 9ft.
In his hands, he held an ebony maiden, clothed in silk linen and her hair decorated with ivory ornaments, a beautiful maiden who could topple cities and stop wars. But the thing marring her beauty was the bleeding from all her orifices and the twitches of her body which eventually stilled, signifying a painful death.
"R'hul-Zikar!!!" the young man holding unto her cried out again in a rage filled voice tinged with despair and helplessness.
" Z'hel-Eko, this is what your stubbornness has caused "
An older bald ebony transcendent with a muscular figure, standing at nearly 10ft spoke, adorned in black leather pants with star-like pigments decorating it and shimmering like real stars, holding an equally giant great Axe of over 7ft which hummed with power and thirst for blood.
He stood as solid as a mountain, with blood red tattoos all over his arms and chest and back up to his face which squirmed as though alive.
Power radiated off him in waves which no one here could compare to as he continued in a rumbling voice
"If only you had given up your soul-blood to the clan to offer unto our ancestor the great god Raznik, you could have been a hero, and maybe even our paragon here on the mortal plane!! But no! You chose the path of an Archon, you rebelled!! Now its time to atone for your sins!!"
"Hahaahaaa..."
The young man gave a cold and hollow laugh that sent shivers down the spine of everyone resent here, even that old bald transcendent. In an equally chilling voice he continued.
" You all are greedy, and want the destiny that had accumulated in my bloodline, the clan and even that ancestor abandoned me, when I couldn't receive a totem, but now that I have grasped the human origin totem, you besiege me and slay my 'aye aya' to force me out..."
Even as he raised his head, a perfect male ebony face was revealed which was void of any emotions with the distinct feature of pitch black eyes, so dark that seemed to suck in the surrounding light, filled with strong menace and making all the warriors grip their weapons tighter, though none backed off, showing their strong will.
"Birds die for food... "
An aura even surpassing that of the balding transcendent erupted out of him in surging waves, crushing everything in a hundred meters radius around him into dust, which was strangely devoured into nothingness, but not damaging the body of the ebony maiden. Even the balding transcendent took three steps back to dissipate the force of the crushing aura and released a blood-red shield traced with crackling lightning to block the eruption , other transcendent were not so lucky, as the closest were crushed to pulp and devoured into nothingness, while the farther ones were flung several meters backwards with their shields of various attributes crushed and their chests caved in, coughing out mouthful of blood.
".... And you all shall die for nothing!!"
