... All was still, until the gigantic blast of energy exploded out in a soundless wave which cracked the stable dimension, punching a rift into the beyond void.
In the process of release Z'hel-Eko could not handle the brunt of the explosion even with his newly ascended power, even as the energy devoured his body and broke his primordial soul, he still had that sad smile on his face, even as he whispered "soon...".
On the other hand the converged divine seal containing the undying soul of the greater god could hardly handle the brunt of the attack, though a god, his soul had been wounded before and just woke from slumber, having just a fraction of its power, it could not withstand the annihilating power coming from void beyond void and was also shredded into nothingness, it could only utter one final roar of unwillingness as he watched his destruction. After all meticulous planning all for naught.
As the island began to crack and become encroached by the annihilating power from the beyond void , from the midst of raging spiritual sea a voice was heard somehow over all the boundless catastrophic noise, a seemingly weak sigh
"Sigh... At the end he could not ascend, well he did us a favor, so WE should repay him"
Even another voice was heard, a voice filled with s commanding majesty
"Retrieve his soul from destruction, bestow on him a decree, send him unto the flowing river..."
Even as this voice had yet to fade, the place stilled as though someone paused time, then the annihilating power from the beyond void receded seemingly on its own accord.
From within the receding beyond void mist a weak light floated out, like a will'o wisp it flickered like it will be extinguished anytime, in the midst of the weak light, a vague form could be seen curled in fetus position. This figure shockingly resembled Z'hel-Eko, this was his primordial soul , but a fragment of it.
A golden light from nowhere suddenly shone on it for a while, then gathered unto an imprint that landed on his soul, this seemed to strengthen it, making it more vibrant.
The primordial soul then floated into a glittering river from a crack in space that appeared on its own. In this flowing river, those glitters were actually made from innumerable souls as they flowed together. This was the rivers of souls . Z'hel-Eko's primordial soul joined them unnoticed .
As the island healed and reverted back to its peaceful form, that same majestic voice thundered once more
"The foundation is broken, what shall the pantheons do? the era of ascension is broken, what shall the mortals do? The era of worship is entered, then shall the gods rule!"
