Chapter 35 - What. Did. You. Do.

Hiari complied, opened the wooden door, and entered. Inside they found three men sitting in an office. The office walls were white while the desk that a young man was sitting in front showed who this office belonged.

On the side were two other people sitting, one was a man while the other a woman. They held teacups in their hands while looking at the newcomers. The expression of the sitting men and woman was calm as if they already knew who had come.

Upon entering the office, Myzer and Hiari both bowed to the people inside before shouting, "we greet the Principal, vice principal, and teacher!"

Their backs were bent in 90 degrees exactly, while their voice was loud enough that the entire hallway could hear them. Instead of getting applauded for their excellent greeting, the surrounding people getting greeted expressions twisted in annoyance, amusement, and other faces.

"How many times do I have to tell you this? It is okay to greet people, but don't yell!" Sarah yelled at her disciples with a helpless expression on her face. Although she seemed angry, her eyes looked bored as if she was already used to this.

"I mean, it's not so bad!" The black-haired man next to her said with a small smile on his face. "It's not like you don't like it." It seemed that his teasing worked in getting a real expression out of Sarah as she looked at him with narrowed eyes, seemingly deliberating if to retort.

"You two, are you trying to make our guests look down on you?" Dominic chided from the side. He looked at the other five people who entered his office. When his eyes arrived at Xue Mo, they flashed for a second before moving on to inspect the rest.

"Forgive them for their indiscretion; these two are Declan, the vice-principal, and Sarah, the academy's headteacher!" Dominic introduced, and with him starting the two being introduced regained their bearings before nodding at the possibly new students.

Just as Dominic was about to say more, Hiari moved forward, bowed, "Principal sir, I think Senior Mo and Yao are good enough to teach here." Hiari's words were more supported by the nod that Myzer displayed as he looked at his teacher and the other two higherups.

With Hiari's words and Myzer's nod as confirmation, the room's atmosphere quickly got serious as Dominic's face went cold as he looked at Hiari, "Why do you say that?"

Hearing the cold tone, Hiari shivered for a second before answering tremblingly, "replying to the Principal, Senior Mo, already knows about cultivation!" After hearing what Hiari said, Sarah and Declan straightened up even more, but Dominic didn't react as if he already knew it. They waited a few more seconds for Hiari to continue, yet he didn't, which prompted Declan to turn to him and ask. "Is that it?"

"Eh?" Myzer released a small squeak before muttering, "of course no. He was also stronger than us!"

Hearing what Myzer muttered with their improved bodies, the three finally took Xue Mo seriously, yet Sarah had realized something that didn't make sense. "If what you are saying is the truth, then where is the evidence of the battle?" Sarah's question also made Declan and Dominic realize that there was no scratch on Myzer nor Hiari. But, they said that Xue Mo was stronger, so there must be more to it.

"Master, we didn't fight!" Just when Sarah's expression started to distort, Hiari continued, "we weren't worthy of fighting. As soon as we finished dealing with Dio, Senior Mo appeared from behind us like a ghost! The pressure he released made us see the disparity between us!"

Hiari's words made Myzer shiver for a second as if he remembered something terrifying. This didn't escape the trio educators' notice and made their frowning faces ease up a little. If Xue Mo wanted to kill the duo assassin, he could have already done it, yet he didn't, and that made them curious. They stopped paying attention to the duo assassin and instead focused on Xue Mo.

In front of the scrutinizing gazes, Xue Mo's Shadow Soul Pressure made the three feel like a weight was suddenly dropped on top of them, almost causing them to buckle their feet. Dominic had only just realized what kind of individual was in front of him, 'this person's pressure feels similar to that guy!'

He had misinterpreted Xue Mo's Soul Shadow Pressure for a pressure released by the difference in cultivation realms. This is also why he thought Xue Mo is comparable to someone he knew.

The realization made him regain his bearing and look at Xue Mo, now with more respect. "Senior Mo, what do you want from our small academy?" The way Dominic spoke surprised everyone in the room while the three friends that were being recruited simultaneously released gasps that no one cared about at the moment.

"Me? I am just here for some things. Don't worry. I won't harm you or your Academy!" Xue Mo's cold voice traveled to everyone's ears and made them quiver. "I will even teach in this academy for a while!"

Xue Mo's words had made different expressions appear on the surrounding people's faces, with Dominic having the weirdest one. He looked at Xue Mo incredulously, 'what is he planning?' Although Xue Mo must have a motive for wanting to teach here, it wasn't his place to ask. He just had to hope that Xue Mo wouldn't do anything to their academy.

"Give me access to all your facilities!" Xue Mo spoke after letting his words sink in. "Also, I shall teach cultivation, and I will do that when I feel like it!" Xue Mo's words didn't allow for rejection, and Dominic wasn't even planning on committing such a mistake. It was already a happy occasion that Xue Mo would teach in the academy, even if it were when he liked it; anything that he teaches would help the students more than any other teacher could.

Myzer and Hiari, who were on the side, were thinking, 'did we just let a monster into the academy!' The looks that their teacher was giving them was, sure enough, a reason for them to feel worried, but Declan's brightened eyes that confused them gave them hope of avoiding death.

After he finished what he wanted to say, Xue Mo looked at Dominic, "Where will I stay?"

"Go prepare a room in the Mana and Qi Pagoda for Senior Mo," Dominic ordered Myzer calmly. It seemed that Xue Mo's word of not doing anything that would harm the academy reassured Dominic enough to regain his composure.

"If anyone dares disturb you, I will deal with him," Declan spoke while looking at Xue Mo with clear eyes that seemed completely honest, and Xue Mo was able to see that they were indeed not filled with malice.

"Since we are done here, let's go!" Lu Yao, who was on Xue Mo's shoulder, told him. She was yawning, and it appeared that she had been sleeping too much lately, which didn't escape Xue Mo's notice. He nodded his head, and under the flabbergasted eyes of the people in the room, he went through the same path, Myzer traveled. Dominic was surprised about Lu Yao being able to speak, but the shock he got from Xue Mo made this seem trivial.

As soon as Xue Mo and Lu Yao left the room, Sarah released a breath she didn't know she had kept and looked at Hiari with frightening eyes. "What. Did. You. Do." The way she enunciated each word made Hiari feel as if he was going to die if he didn't answer.

"Teacher, I swear I didn't know he was that powerful! We thought that he was more powerful than us, but not you. How were we even supposed to know that he is this strong?" Although he didn't know how strong Xue Mo truly was, from Dominic, Declan, and Sarah's expressions, he figured that he was stronger than them.

"Don't be so harsh on him! That man is at least at the Core formation realm; he is way too strong for us!" Hearing what Dominic said, Declan and Sarah gasped before they looked at the place Xue Mo left to with a shiver. 'Good thing we didn't offend such existence!' Everyone Dominic included sighed in relief.

"I should tell the main branch! This hadn't happened for a long time! If we could obtain such an expert into our ranks, we could theoretically rule the homeworld. And, have you looked at his looks, he is young." Dominic spoke with a trembling voice, his excitement was oozing, and he wasn't trying to hide it. "Not just young in looks, I could tell that although he seems old, his body is still young."

"So, what do we do now?" Axel saw that everything calmed down and asked in a small voice. All the people around him were powerful. He didn't know what they were talking about, but it sounded important, and that's why he chose till now to speak.

Axel's voice made everyone remember that there were other people in the room besides Xue Mo and Lu Yao. Dominic and the rest regained their senses; after leaving things to Sarah and Declan, Dominic left his office with significant steps. 'I need to inform the main branch. This could change many things!'
