I just received this journal from my father for my 8th birthday. I will be writing in it every day from now on or until I decide to stop writing.

Both of my parents have contracted an unknown illness a while back and seam to be dying. The doctor says they have about 1 year to live based on how long it took to attack their circulatory system.

Both of my parents are dead. My mother died last night and my father died this morning. I was walking down the street last night before my mother died a man in a mustang was watching with an unhinged look on his face. I am now living in an 1 bedroom apartment payed for by the social services. Someone is knocking on the door...
Chapter I: An Offer Is Taken
Where am I? What is this place, I think to myself as I crawl on the floor of this pitch black area. I suddenly see a flickering light like that of a candle that is burning out. My body suddenly freezes in place as I feel a warm stream of liquid roll down my arm from my shoulder. The flickering Light is almost burnt out and the liquid goes from warm to freezing cold.
"Hello Jack, your body is on the verge of death, but I can heal you for the price of your humanity," a voice offered.
What do you mean if not human what will I be?," I ask.
"You would have fangs, skin as pale as cream, eternal life, and have a hunger that can only be dissolved by drinking at least 8oz of human blood a day. By the way you only have 40 seconds to decide before you're dead. So what will it be."
"I'll take your offer."
When I woke up I was strapped down to a table with an unbearable hunger. A man in a white cloak with the hood down revealing a young pale face and silver hair. stood next to the table. "If you want to escape, kill the mad man who has you strapped down to this table and feast upon his blood, once you have escaped go to the western base of MT Daigon I will be waiting there for you," at that the man was swallowed by his shadow and was gone.
