The prospect of fighting on the second floor made my heart race.
"How does the boss thing work?" I asked. I had never heard of how the bosses of the Tower worked, especially since the Tower was a competitive environment.
"Will it recognize us?" I wondered aloud. "Or will we have to fight it again?"
No one seemed to like the idea of fighting it again.
We continued into the Tower and found the boss room.
Jacob stepped forward to see if he would draw aggro.
The Orc stepped away from the second floor doorway and gestured towards it.
We had never seen any intelligent movements from any monster as of yet, so we never thought it was a sneak attack.
Thankfully, it wasn't and we made our way to the steps uneventfully.
As we ascended the stairs, the walls slowly were covered in moss, while vines and creepers could be seen hanging from the vaulted ceiling.
At last, we came across a doorway. Jacob tried to push it open, but couldn't.
I had the second best strength in the group, so I helped push.
Nothing happened.
Soon, even Nymph joined in. As soon as she touched the door, however, it swung open.
Jacob immediately moved to the front of our group, readying his shield.
In front of us lay a massive jungle.
The trees were fifty feet in radius, and their leaves were the size of a horse, the creepers got bigger the further they got from the entryway, and everything was bathed in the pale light of the moon.
Jacob moved forward cautiously. I was about to ask why he acted like he was until I saw the wyvern that was the size of a mansion.
It seemed to be asleep for now, but based on the way its nostrils were flaring and it was starting to stir, it wouldn't stay that way for long.
