Rainbow got out of class and stretched, there was nothing more boring than being told things that you already knew. She headed to the corridor to hide through the next class, there was no way that she was going to sit there fo another hour. Besides, she needed to work out how she'd managed to get into 'kill mode' and how to stop it from ever happening again.
When she reached her hiding spot, she got out her phone to text her mother. It was her mother that was supposed to be teaching her magic after all. Plus she had a much better control over it than Rainbow did. The only person who was better was her grandmother... she was out of the question.
"Mum, I just lost control of my magic again. But it was different this time... I became corrupted by it." Rainbow wrote the message to her mother. She didn't know how to explain what had happened so she left it at that.
The response soon came from her mother "What did you do?!". That wasn't a good sign. Rainbow rarely told her about the magical problems she had because she knew nothing helpful would come out of it.
"I almost killed Barry, but Dimond came and stopped me. She also mind wiped everyone who saw." Rainbow texted back. She was rather slow to reply because she only had a beaten up old flip phone. She had to press some keys three times to get the letter that she wanted. Rainbow didn't get a response and she figured that it would be about as helpful as actually getting one. Kathrine was not the most forgiving person especially if you almost caused others to find out about the magic. Rainbow sighed and rested her head against the wall, she was really scared. Scared that she might hurt someone that she cared about.
The bell rang and Rainbow glanced at her phone, it was lunchtime but she didn't feel very hungry. She should go down though, even if she never ate anything. The others would worry about where she was, and when she came back, they would poke fun at her.
"You should've just killed him, make it look like suicide. Teens are always committing suicide." That was her mother's reply. Was it some sick joke? Her mother was always killing people. Maybe that was why she didn't think of it as a crime anymore... Her mind floated back to how depressed Lily had been that morning. She hoped she was alright.
