Lazarus was still as heavy as it was before the pact and Tyrhung was still as it was before. Aesthetically nothing may had changed and were still the same as he found them aesthetically, however as he was about to find out 'much' had changed.
Lazarus: "How may...."
Tyrung: "we serve you 'Master'."
Eli replied: "I have to say I expected more of a change."
Tyrung: "Our master wishes to see our awakening?"
Lazarus: "For that we require a drop of mana."
And so Eli gave them a drop of mana as he did an instantaneous change occurred Lazarus's weight was no longer a burden, as the darkness of the sword became its own essence, the very darkness seemed to warp light as it grew in relevance, like a sheet of clothing it covered the entire blade part of the sword.
It became a visible aura on the sword as it molded it, then it retreated as fast as it enveloped the sword, leaving behind a notable change to the blade's features. The once blunt edges on the sword were no longer blunt, no it could cut now. It's hand guard had a inscription into it, the writing 'blood', was on the face front and back of the hand guard.
Tyrhung's awakening resulted in the change of the blade's colour as the entirety of it changed to an emerald green. (Not that it needed much of a change, it was already perfect to begin with.) A similar thing happened to the hand guard of this blade too but it had the word 'light' engraved on it.
This was more the change Eli was expecting at the time. Eli dueled wield the swords, which he could do now since there was no longer such a huge weight disparity. They both were well balanced in terms of weight distribution and handling. As he causally slashed around to get more of a feel of them.
Eli approached a rock, that would be his test subject, he attacked with both swords. Satisfied with the results he retreated away from the rock.
"What can you do, aside from being swords." Eli asked.
Lazarus: "Call on me and you call forth death, only in battle will I show you the secrets I hold."
"What about you?"
Tryung's reponse however was more vague: "In time."
Eli was puzzled by this, maybe it meant he wasn't ready or it wasn't ready. As he thought over Tryung's reply, Lazarus spoke again.
Lazarus: "Do you still have need of us Master?"
"Hmm? What happens if I have no need of you." When Eli said this, two crossed circles appeared at the bottom tip of both blades, like the one before except they weren't as big and weren't plastered on the ground. They engulfed the two swords, as they disappeared off to somewhere, he was intrigued where they went off to but at the same time, he didn't care much as long as he could retrieve them. Plus not having to carry them around was a bonus.
Now that the two swords were his, Eli's attention shifted to the remaining items still left on the altar, the two rings. He approached the table and asked the dragon what the rings were and their purpose.
Dalzrenth told him of the first ring, it was dull in a colour of rust but it was supposedly a binding ring. Its purpose was to bind a person to an animal of their choosing, contrary to its rustic and simplistic look it was a very powerful binding ring.
Eli had heard of what binders were but never seen one of them in person. He knew what they could do but he definitely didn't know how to use one, due to it being a binder, especially one as powerful as this one was said to be, it was definitely something he would need due to its value.
A binding ring was your very own animal binder, it bonded the owner with whatever animal of his choosing through a pact. (Think of a binder as you will a poke ball from Pokemon.) With a binder you could call on that very animal for use.
In order for a binding to occur the animal you selected had to either be weakened or peacefully accept your request for them to be yours to command. The more authority/power the animal commanded the higher in quality/power your binder had to be in order to initiate a pact between you and it. If you however were to die the animal would be released from its pact and be free once again.
The other ring, goldish in colour the dragon could not call upon its memories of it, as though he had never seen it before. You could thank Sigmund for that as he made sure to keep the ring's abilities from his son.
Eli wore both rings, though he was unsure and a little on-guard due to the limited knowledge he had about one of them, its was a thorn he hoped he could dislodge as soon as possible.
At this moment when all seemed done and Eli was ready to take his leave, Dalzrenth bowed his head to Eli and asked of him to accept him as his companion, he thought the boy was worthy of his servitude due to having have bested him before when they fought.
This took Eli by suprise a little. "So you want me to be your master?" Eli replied with a smirk.
Dalzrenth was kinda of unnerved by the smirk to say the least. "I ask to be your companion not a servant."
"If I accept you as such you are aware am just going to be using you as a mount. I will use you as I please so do you really want to forfeit your life and become my servant?"
Dalzrenth was keen to be Eli's companion, but what he was un-keen on was the usage of the word servant, used to describe how his position would be, it felt degrading to him.
Eli saw the dragon's discomfort and he in a sense enjoyed it. In the end he acknowledged that he would recognise the dragon as an equal. It wasn't just because he felt a change or a liking towards the dragon no... Eli viewed the dragon as a useful asset to assist him, otherwise it was just an overgrown fire breathing lizard.
He asked Dalzrenth if he no longer had a companion why subject himself to the strenuous task of protecting the swords, what was the use, he no longer had any obligation to do so.
Dalzrenth told him of the favour that was asked of him by the last holder of the swords, though he had no obligation to confine himself in a life less environment for years, protecting a set of swords, out of respect and love for his companion he did so. Through this respect is how he became the companion of the last owner of the set of swords.
Eli asked to know more about this person, that was now lost to time. Alas... His questions were to go nowhere as the dragon couldn't recall much of anything, his very memories hidden from his grasp.
Seeing this Eli moved on and asked how he was meant to initiate a bind between him and the dragon.
The dragon told Eli of what he would need to do in a binding pact.
Wearing the ring, he did as the dragon had instructed putting his arm out, curled it into a fist and pointed it at the dragon. He then directed the remainder of his mana into the ring.
