From the way the hooded figure was acting Eli could tell this wasn't his first 'gig', but he could also tell that this person standing before him had never drawn blood.
See Eli had an uncanny ability to tell whether a person had killed before or not he wasn't sure why it came natural to him. With just one look a person's voice, eyes, face and even their general demeanor towards others could give him the information he needed to deduce whether they had drawn blood before. Though he did dismiss it as an ability and rather it be intuition or just a gut feeling.
However since he couldn't catch the hooded figure's face he had to go off the tense stance his opponent took, to his general handling of the knife he could tell his opponent was experienced but not fully tainted yet.
"If i use the laptop as..." But his train of thought was interrupted when his opponent barked at him.
"Whatever's on your mind, I wouldn't do it if I were you!" The hooded figure barked at Eli with a warning hoping to instill some sense into him.
Eli went back to his train of thought. He wanted to make use of the tools available to him to get out of this predicament. He came up with a few decent plans that mostly revolved around using the laptop, problem was he wasn't inclined to use the laptop due to it being one of the few possessions his mother purchased for him.
He valued this more than his own life. Furthermore, he wasn't a 100% percent confident he could get out of this situation due to his limited knowledge about his opponent's physical strength. In the end he decided to roll the dice since he was pressed for time, he still had somewhere to be after all. He could always repair the laptop but not his sanity from the barrage that he would have to face from a certain annoying fly.
Using the laptop case as both shield and a weapon he charged forwards aiming to try and knock the knife out of his opponent's hands.
However this wasn't the first time the hooded figure had encountered prey who thought they could fight him off, in fact he was quite experienced in dealing with this matter. In fact fact he was well aware that Eli may fight back due to his whole response to the situation, the calculating, calm gaze he noticed also threw up red flags.
So when Eli launched himself at him he welcomed it by planting his feet and meeting it with a shoulder wall of his own. He absorbed the charge with his left shoulder and then with a swift mechanical motion slid the knife into Eli's abdomen.
Eli was hit with shock as he felt the blade press into his skin. He lost strength in his legs and collapsed in shock as he realised that he was correct on the assumption that his assailant's physical strength may prove the deciding factor. He also didn't account that his assailant would actually use the weapon, he had previously thought that his opponent would hesitate.
However due to the ferocity and speed that Eli had thrown himself.... The hooded figure had instinctively used his blade to try and regain control of the situation.
But this had quickly spiraled out of his control now. He started panicking as he saw blood gushing from Eli's abdomen and saw blood dripping from the blade. he hid the blade in his pocket and proceeded to loot Eli.
"Sh*t... If only you would've done what i asked this wouldn't have happened." As the hooded figure quickly grabbed all the valuables that he could find on Eli. With a shaky breath told Eli he was "sorry" and run from the scene.
Eli cursed himself for making a careless error on his judgement for still going ahead and risking it all without fully knowing the details. Now he has both lost both his prized possession, his life it seemed like and a potential free meal. Maybe he could have bargained with his assailant he thought to himself... Eli's breathing became shallower and shallower and with one last raspy breath his vision faded to black.
Eli awoke to find a man sitting on a table infront of him cross-legged reading a file. Eli looked around to see nothing but the few objects infront of him which were: a single file cabinet, a rectangular table with two cups of green tea, a circular carpet that they both were sat on and for some reason a box of tissues aside from these objects there was nothing but a huge wall of mist that surrounded them.
He stared blankly for a while as he drank in his surroundings. He was also a little mystified why the person infront of him was wearing nothing but a toga and seemed to take no notice of him.
After what felt like half an eternity Eli begun to speak; "Where am I?" but received nothing in response. "Am I dead?" He asked with a louder tone than before.
The person infront of Eli chuckled to him self and responded with an authoritative tone "Yes exactly."
Eli immediately followed up with the question "who are you?", to receive in response "I go by many names." as the person infront of Eli finally put down the file that he was staring at, which disappeared as soon as it left his finger tips. Eli caught himself staring at this unnamed person's features, his white long hair, crystal blue eyes and a face that many would describe as craggy. Eli thought to himself "Am i sitting across to a God?".
But which God was he sitting with? The God chuckled, as though he could read his thoughts, before he responded "I rule over most of everything even the other Gods themselves I posses 'no-one' power". 'No-one power' Eli's mind cycled through what religions had multiple Gods and a being to rule them all, the "Supreme Being" if you will. The God was able to read his thoughts like an open book he looked on in silence and accepted the name.
"Supreme Being" It just felt right he thought to himself. "You can refer to me as 'the Supreme Being' the God of Gods." as he took a sip of his green tea.
He then moved the topic of the conversation, "Eli do you know why you're here? Do you even know where you are?" He asked. Eli took another look around and responded with "Am sure am dead, that's a fact as for where exactly I am? That am unsure with." the god nodded in agreement, "At least you are sure that you are dead."
"I read over your file, its quite interesting, so interesting that i would say you are a rarity." As he gazed at Eli. "And it's the very reason why you are infront of me, you are here because you are an offspring of a God."
"God?" Eli piped with interest.
"Yes Eli" Another figure had seemingly appeared besides the supreme one. He wore a full casing of white amour and carried with him chains that lapped around him. He had an assortment of swords that were on his back.
