Stella woke up abruptly with a strange premonition. She searched for her phone and realized it was almost 5pm.
"Damn." She quietly cursed, she didn't know that her body was so weak that she needed close to twenty hours of sleep! But she still didn't feel all that great...
Stella had a strange feeling so she went around the jet to look for some food. The jet was top of the line, having a portable fridge with many leftovers inside. She picked up some pasta and some milk as she ate in silence.
As she was eating she turned on the news on the TV in the jet. Not interested in the rubbish they make for people to watch, she decided to go to the news.
Seeing that nothing interesting was going on, she looked on her phone for information from her sources.
She raised her eyebrow at some of the stuff she saw. Apparently the Fude family were collapsing and the Yuhs faction was trying to help stabilize them under a joint operation.
But then she froze, as sweat formed on her forehead.
"Mou Guillard was attacked in Country Z, the perpetrators weren't linked to anyone and it seemed to be normal street thugs."
Stella's heart ached at the information, as she immediately got fully dressed and rushed on her makeup. As she went to the hospital mentioned in the information he went to.
Apparently Mou was shot and attacked by local thugs, despite Country Z being quieter than most countries, they still had crime. And Mou was a big target, especially since the people didn't have much of an opinion on his. As they often respected technology over anything else.
Stella took a taxi and shakily ordered the driver to go to Huds Hospital. A hospital in which the Guillard family invested in just a few months prior.
The driver noticed the man's urgency and his destination, he drove quickly to the hospital and was given the largest tip in his life...
Stella ignored the unique surroundings of Country Z, she wasn't interested. She rushed straight into the hospital and to the front desk.
"How may I help you sir?" The receptionist asked in a neutral tone, she noticed he was lightly sweating. Probably because he had someone close to him admitted to the hospital...
Stella took out an ID card and put it on the table. "I need to see Mr. Guillard." She spoke in a calm tone, her identity was one of a worried employee.
The receptionist was guarded, only people within the hospital knew the fact that Mr. Guillard was admitted earlier... She took the ID card and then knew how this man knew.
"I understand, take the elevator to the top floor. He is in room 4003." The receptionist gave the bodyguard the key for the elevator and let Stella in the private elevator.
Stella nodded as she took the silver key for the elevator. She walked over to the elevator and placed the key on a discreet part of the elevator, revealing the door to open with no one inside.
...............
Stella opened the door of room 4003 with shaky hands, she saw the body of Mou quietly lying on the bed.
His head was completely untouched, but his shoulder had a large bandage over it and his leg was plastered. Stella heard from the information that Mou was shot in the shoulder and leg. Luckily, neither of the injuries were life-threatening. Especially with the best health care in the country at his disposal.
Stella blanked. Mou's pale face and disheveled hair made her tremble.
Stella calmed herself down and took a seat next to Mou. She took a deep breath as she looked at Mou.
She knew that Terel already took control of the situation to catch the thugs. So there was nothing else she could do...
...............
Mou woke up feeling pain in his left shoulder and his leg. He then remembered what had happened. He was leaving his car to go into a meeting and was attacked by thugs, he was shot at and moved his body to protect his vitals, luckily the bullet hit his shoulder. After his shadow guards came out he ordered Terel to follow them.
As the men were running they shot another bullet toward Mou, this time he wasn't paying attention and was hit in the leg. He remembered Terel ordering the guards something and then passing out...
Stella watched as Mou opened his eyes, the feeling of relief filled her body. "Thank god." She blurted in relief.
Mou stiffened and looked to his side, he saw someone he didn't expect to see...
Seeing Mou's expression Stella smiled. "No need to worry, there are no bugs in the room. No staff will be entering for the meantime." Stella assured, meaning, that they could talk freely.
Mou relaxed. "Has Terel contacted you?" He asked, which made Stella inwardly angry.
"He said that the thugs mentioned they were hired, they couldn't get any name despite various methods so they were killed. He left the situation to Lennard to investigate." Stella answered with an annoyed tone.
Mou nodded as he attempted to sit up. He ignored the pain in his shoulder and did so.
Stella watched on with dark eyes. 'Does he not care about himself? He is clearly in pain yet he is trying to sit up.' Stella didn't realize, that her thinking was extremely hypocritical.
"Just lie down." Stella was tired of seeing Mou struggle to sit up, the leg injury would hinder him for a while...
Mou felt Stella's hand on his chest lightly pushing him down, he wanted to say something but decided to stay quiet, as the dark look in her eyes made him shudder.
"Lennard already contacted your other meetings for a couple of weeks, they would be coming to you in a meeting place. After two weeks you aren't able to make your clients come to you so you will need to sort that out." Stella reported the news of the meetings, she seemed quite angry with the results.
Mou could make some of the people he had meetings come to him, but some people were well-established in Country Z and their cooperation was optional, it would benefit Mou more so Mou needed to show respect and go to them...
Mou nodded, he wasn't expecting another result...
Then a knock came on the door, Stella raised her eyebrows as she looked into Mou's eyes and then smirked.
"Come in." Mou responded in a drowzy tone, despite waking up from injuries, he knew that Stella's words were true. No one should be disturbing him for a while...
The door opened revealing a nurse. "Excuse me sir, the doctor ordered some more injections." The nurse's wavy black hair complemented her brown eyes. As she had the smile to seduce the rich man in the bed.
That wasn't new for Mou so he just nodded and let the nurse do her thing.
The nurse walked up to Mou and took hold of his arm. As she took the needle to inject Mou. She looked straight into Mou's eyes.
Mou felt compelled looking into the woman's eyes, he lost focus as all he could think of was her. Her smile, her eyes. Her voice...
The nurse noticed Mou's loss of focus in his eyes. She placed the needle over his arm and went to inject the drug...
The nurse then felt a cold presence behind her. She shuddered as she went to turn around, but her head was stopped mid-turn.
"Is there something you need. Miss nurse?" Stella's cold, desolate voice made the nurse shudder.
'Shit! Why is she here!?' The nurse cursed, this woman...
"I never knew the second-best assassin has been forced to work such bad jobs for poor pay under thugs... Who hired you?" Stella asked as she took control of the situation.
Stella kicked the woman's calf and made her fall to the floor, she dropped the needle as she wanted to fight back, but Stella already had her left arm in an armbar as she put her knee on her back.
"N-N-Nighthawk. W-Why are you here?" The woman was terrified, she immediately noticed the woman's voice of being the most terrifying person she had ever known...
Stella pushed harder on the woman's back. "That's not the answer to my question. Tell me, do you think I'm afraid of some rules?" Stella asked as she spoke into the woman's ear.
The woman shook her head furiously, as long as she knew Nighthawk, she would kill anyone she felt like. It didn't take long for her to take the top spot as the strongest assassin. She last saw her face a year ago, she was masked but she could never forget such a thick accent...
"No, no. I-I don't know the contractor. Not only did they not reveal the target but also they paid to keep me quiet." The woman responded as her arm snapped.
Stella was quiet, that was certainly unusual... "Alright, you never saw your target, he escaped before you got here and you had no information to find out where he went. Cancel any contact with the employer." Stella ordered as she increased the pressure on the woman's back.
The woman nodded furiously, "I understand, I understand." She didn't want to blemish her reputation with failure, but losing her life... She didn't want that either.
Stella eased up on the woman, "Good. Remember, you saw no one. Understand?" Stella stood up as she let the woman go.
The woman nodded as she scuttled out, not daring to look back, her nurse outfit was ruined, and her arm was displaced. But at least she lived...
