Mou was left to quietly stare at Stella. He was in awe of her abilities.
*Sigh* "Thanks for playing along." Stella mumbled as she stood up, she adjusted her glasses as she took the syringe to Mou.
"I didn't have much of a choice." Mou pointed out, the moment he saw the woman he knew that something was wrong.
Thanks to Stella's directions from behind the woman he realized that she was trying to seduce him! He was sick by the woman, but at least he learned something new about Stella today...
"I guess she was trying to inject me with something. Am I right, Nighthawk?" Mou asked, his intrusive tone not missed by Stella.
*Sigh* Stella just sighed. "I don't know, the drug must be something new on the market." She couldn't just say that she actually Nighthawk but one of her subordinates was... Right?
Mou picked up on this subtle clue, it made Mou even more certain of his previous thoughts... "Mmm, I'll send it over to Cerim so he can look at it later." Mou said as he leaned back down on the hospital bed.
Stella felt the atmosphere to be sickening, not with Mou, but rather she couldn't stand the idea of being in a hospital any longer. "Have your guard take my place, I'm going to go back and rest longer." Stella said as she stifled a yawn, her body was still incredibly tired...
Mou didn't mind, seeing Stella's expression he knew she wasn't lying. But his happiness when she was the first thing he woke up to see couldn't be described... "Alright, I should be admitted out later or tomorrow morning. Just wait in the jet for now." Mou's doting voice once again came out.
Stella felt slightly uncomfortable hearing his sweet tone of voice, so she nodded and started to walk out. Her heart beating quite quickly...
As Stella took a taxi to the hospital she needed to walk home. The hour walk gave her mind time to cool down and think about some things.
The fear she felt when she heard Mou was in an accident, the relief when she saw he was okay, the rage when she saw an assassin try to inject a drug into him, the strand feeling in her heart when Mou was smiling at her... Was she going mad?
Stella got back to the jet and sat down. She took out her phone and called Tia to explain the situation. "She is in country Z right now. She was hired by someone to complete a job, keep an eye on her." Stella knew that Tia would know who she was talking about...
Stella ended the call and then hovered over Emily's name. She couldn't ask her subordinates about the way of romance, so Emily was the only real option she could go with.
Stella stared at the contact for close to twenty minutes. She closed her eyes, and gained some mental strength as she clicked on her name.
"..." Stella didn't say anything when the call was connected, she was too nervous!
"Hello? Stella?" Emily answered the call that she was expecting the least.
*Cough* "Hello, I hope I'm not disturbing anything." Stella was now sweating buckets, she had never been so nervous in her life!
On the other side, Emily was completely baffled, 'I hope Mou didn't blow away her mind. I should have mentioned that she might be very wary since she doesn't seem to be experienced...'
Emily made the assumption she wasn't experienced from the fact she had such an explosive aura when a woman touched her, if she ever had a relationship like that, she would be more than willing to kneel in front of the person who dealt with that!
"No, is something wrong?" Emily immediately thought something was wrong. After all, while you couldn't call her and Stella close, they were closer than anyone else was to Stella just on the fact they were both girls and had spoken personally a few times...
*Sigh* Stella wiped her palms on her shirt as she calmed herself down. "Say, if your friend said to you that they had never felt human emotions for as long as they can remember suddenly told you that they felt alive again, what would you say?" Stella immediately perplexed Emily.
'Huh? Is she talking about Mou? I know Mou might not be that emotional but he certainly feels for his family... Am I just missing something?' Emily didn't think Stella was talking about herself, since she had seen many emotions from her.
"Well, I would say that it is a good thing. Living without emotions... Is that even living anymore? Not being able to feel anything must be quite painful." Emily gave her honest opinion to Stella.
Stella stayed quiet for a while. "Mmm, what if that friend said that after seeing a person they knew having an accident. They felt their world was going to end, then when they saw the person was fine, they were comfortable. What is that?" Stella, the smartest person Emily knew, asked such a question it made Emily immediately stand up.
Emily was alarmed. 'No way.' She couldn't believe it! Stella was talking about herself!
Emily knew based on the fact that she didn't mention any emotions. She now felt sorry for the person she thought could match Mou...
"Stella, that is love." Emily decided to help out her long time family friend...
Stella frowned. "Impossible." She blurted out, how could she. An experiment, feel love?
"No, no. Your friend was clearly worried when they heard someone close to them was in danger. They must be close to each other right?" Emily was smart, she was talking about Stella's 'friend'. So it was abundantly clear to her that Stella was talking about herself.
Stella was in thought. Were she and Mou close? In a normal mindset, they were extremely close. A man and a woman sleeping under the same roof, the man has feelings for her. While the woman was unsure... But Stella wasn't a normal person.
"I don't know. My friend was using the person as entertainment, but then my friend decided that being close to people... Wasn't all that bad." Stella said, unknowingly, she started to tear up.
Emily listened, she started to feel for Mou. It seemed that the person he was going for was even less emotional than he was...
"Mmm, does your friend enjoy being around that person?" Emily started with some basic questions.
"Yes." Stella answered immediately, she felt surprisingly comfortable around Mou. His smile appeared in her mind.
"Does your friend make physical contact with that person?" Emily then asked a question that was important for Stella.
"Yes." Stella immediately answered, she remembered how comfortable and warm Mou was...
Emily was surprised. 'Has she already fallen for him?' She wondered.
"Does your friend feel desire toward the other person?" Emily almost wanted to choke herself after asking the question. She wasn't that interested in other people's sex lives...
Stella didn't answer for a while, it worried Emily. 'Did they? Is Mou a beast!?' She didn't know when but she started to associate Mou with a thirsty animal...
"What do you mean?" Stella asked in a strange tone of voice.
*Sigh* "Hmm, does your friend enjoy the other person's touch? Do they want them to touch them more, kiss them, maybe even ignore work and be with them all day instead?" Emily wasn't just trying to get them together now, she was wondering just what Mou and Stella had done together...
Stella blushed. "... Y-Yes." She loved Mou's touch, his smile. She wanted to be with him all the time, but she knew her time was coming to an end soon.
"..." Emily was just silent, she took in deep breaths and calmed herself down. "Your friend is definitely in love with the other person." She decided it would be best to say it now before her innocent heart implodes.
Stella felt tears falling down her face, "Mmm." She ended the call as her arms slumped to her side.
She is in love, the killing machine is in love, the insane head of the Bei family is in love, the person about to die is in love...
'I'm in love, I fell in love.' She was ecstatic, but also so upset.
She can't live longer. How could she burden Mou with herself if she would die soon? But... She loved him, his smile. His doting expression.
For the first time, Stella found a reason to live. She wanted revenge against the Fude family and everyone related to her being experimented on. But after knowing how she would end up, why should she try? But now, she didn't want to die. She felt like losing this emotion she felt... Would be too tragic.
...............
Emily was left speechless after Stella ended the call. She was almost certain that Stella was crying. But why?
Then she remembered the conversation. 'Is Mou injured?' She widened her eyes at the realization, as she called Cerim.
"Mmm?" Cerim was sleeping, it was midnight in Country T after all...
"Did your brother encounter an accident?" Emily straight up asked.
Cerim lost his sleepiness. "How do you know?" His voice turned colder, was it leaked via sources?
"He's okay right?" Emily was nervous, she hoped that Emily didn't find out about her love when the man just died.
"He's fine, he was also attacked in the hospital, how did you find out?" Cerim was moving to his laptop to investigate if it was leaked information.
Emily breathed in relief. "You might be getting your sister-in-law faster than you were expecting." Emily mysteriously commented.
Cerim froze. "Huh?" Just what did Emily mean by that?
*Sigh* "Exactly as a said. Just make sure to keep Mou in the dark about this conversation." 'I want to see his expression if Stella confesses.' Emily was feeling like a lovestruck teenager watching a soap opera.
Emily ended the call and couldn't sleep. She decided to call her family to prepare to meet Stella...
Cerim couldn't sleep after hearing that he might get a sister-in-law! He was certain Mou was locked on to Stella... "Did something happen? Damn this, my poor heart." He complained, but he had a warm smile on his face. If it was true, he would love to see his brother being happy...
