Yi Chien anxiously wait as the doctor examine Qiao Nuo. "What's wrong with her? was it her allergy?"he asked bombarding the doctor with questions. "Over exhaustion, and fever."the doctor said. "She's on IV right now, she'll wake up soon."the doctor assured. Yi Chien skipped all the wedding activities, and stayed inside the room to watched Qiao Nuo. She woke up past lunchtime. "Qiao Nuo"Yi Chien softly called as she pulled away the IV attached to her.
Yi Chien watched her in disbelief. "Our family doctor used to give me one when I'm over exhausted after working on a big case. I know how to remove it."she assured cleaning the skin where it was attached with alcohol wipes. "You don't have to work as hard now, you have me."Yi Chien said. "Yeah right"Qiao Nuo said rolling her eyes as she tried to get out of bed. "YOUUU"Yi Chien called out of frustration. "Yeah?"Qiao Nuo asked while she tried to stretch as if she just came out of a good nap. "I stayed here the whole day, you should at least say Thank you Yi Chien for being a wonderful husband or something..."he said. Qiao Nuo softly laughed.
"Thank you Song Yi Chien for being a good husband, and for watching over me. Instead of being outside playing with your college friends."Qiao Nuo said "Happy?"she added. "Despite lacking sincerity, that's good enough."he said. Yi Chien was trying to hold back, he wanted to ask but he figured he'll just find the answer on his own.
"Did you get enough sleep?"Yi Chien yawned. Qiao Nuo nod, as she sat on the chair. "Good, now I'll sleep. I haven't had a proper sleep ever since we got here."he complained, without waiting for Qiao Nuo's reply he occupied part of the bed then closed his eyes. Qiao Nuo covered him with a thin blanket "He's such an interesting person."she thought, then a slight smile formed on her lips. Qiao Nuo didn't get out of the room, instead she went on her phone to check on some work emails.
Yi Chien woke up with his body facing Qiao Nuo who's also taking a nap. He carefully got out of the bed without making a sound then left. Jin Feng have beeen messaging him nonstop about the upcoming bachelor party that will happen today.
Yi Chien's eyes wander around seeing some old and new faces. "How's your wife?"Jin Feng asked "Better"Yi Chien said. "How did you met him?"Yi Chien asked pointing at Lin Sen who's far from them, busy chatting with other people. " We're classmates in graduate school, and I was a frequent customer at his part time job."Jin Feng said. "Part time job?"Yi Chien asked. "He attended graduate school through sponsorship. He was working at a coffee shop to cover the rest of his expenses. "Jin Feng said. "Good guy"he added.
Yi Chien stepped out of the room to call his assistant. "Can you look up someone for me?"he asked. "Lin Sen of GS Construction."he ordered "I want his information by tomorrow morning, especially his past relationship with Qiao Nuo."he added.
Inside the room, Qiao Nuo finally woke up. Yi Chien left a note on the table for her. "Left for the Bachelor's Party"-Yi Chien. Next to the note is a bowl of congee. Pulling her leather planner out of her bag, she pulled out an old polaroid from it's secret pocket.
