"Let's go"Yi Chien said. Qiao Nuo felt relieved seeing how Yi Chien is now heading to the company. She took the farthest parking spot, then step out after cleaning herself. Cheng Han gave his boss a worried look.
Qiao Nuo's half brother Qiao Huo was already waiting inside the conference room. "Brother in law"he called, but Yi Chien replied by slamming the document in front of him. "What do you take me for?"Yi Chien asked slightly raising his voice. "The materials you propose don't match"Yi Chien said. "You can just send my secretary the rejection letter, stop wasting my time."Qiao Huo replied about to leave. "I need to talk to you"Yi Chien said. "What do you need?"he asked. "Leave Qiao Nuo alone."Yi Chien firmly said. "You and your mother keep on leeching on my wife."Yi Chien said. "Tsk"Qiao Huo replied. "That's not of your business, she's stupid enough to agree on everything my dad say"Qiao Huo replied, and a punch soon landed on Qiao Huo's face.
Qiao Nuo who's carefully observing what's going on outside the room heard everything. "LEAVE"she ordered all the employee gossiping outside the room. Qiao Huo was about to punch Yi Chien when she entered the room. "I dare you, you won't like the outcome if that punch landed on Yi Chien's."she threatened, and her brother stop. "You better start treating him right, or I can teach you how."Qiao Nuo said as she fix Yi Chien's messed up tie.
"Dad will hear about this Qiao Nuo."her brother threatened. "Go ahead, and I'll let him know about the money you borrowed to pay your mom's casino debt."Qiao Nuo said. "Or should I add that one time I went to get you out of prison..."Qiao Nuo added. "Do me a favor, stop messing around Yi Chien or I'll start calling Dad more often."Qiao Nuo said. Qiao Huo then left the room.
"I was trying to be cool, but you ended up doing the job."Yi Chien sighed giving her a hug. "You let go, or I'll punch you."Qiao Nuo said. "Wife, you smell like...."Yi Chien said letting go then covering his nose. "Open the windows"he said ordering Cheng Han. "You"Qiao Nuo said. "Boss know your following us since this morning Madam"Cheng Han said.
"So you purposely did that?"Qiao Nuo asked. "Well, I didn't have to check the dumpster today"Yi Chien chuckled then he left her inside the conference room. Cheng Han later came back with a pair of red sneakers. "Boss said wear this for now, and wait for him."he handed. "Thank you"she replied back. "Do you need anything else Madam?"he asked, but Qiao Nuo politely declined.
She decided to finish her work while waiting for Yi Chien. Hours have passed, and Qiao Nuo was busy working that she didn't notice Yi Chien entering the room. He later signaled her to cut the conversation after few minutes.
"Hey"Qiao Nuo said. "Thank you, but you didn't have to defend me in front of Qiao Huo"she added. "What are you talking about? Your my wife."Yi Chien said. "I can totally defend myself."Qiao Nuo said proudly. "I did it for years"she added. "Well, you have me now."Yi Chien said. "Whatever"Qiao Nuo said. Yi Chien then frowned.
